Present study reports the results of three pot experiments, conducted to investigate the chelate-assisted phytoextraction of Pb contaminated soils. The optimum phytoextraction was observed when 2.5 mM ethylene diamine disuccinic acid (EDDS) was added in single dosage for 14 days to low Pb soil (treated with 400 mg kg−1 soil). On the contrary, for high Pb soil (treated with 1200 mg kg−1 soil), 5 mM EDDS concentration in single dosage for 10 days produced better results. Post-harvest effects of EDDS on the concentrations of available Pb and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) were significantly higher as compared with check (CK i.e. without EDDS addition), and consequently decreased with the passage of time. Our results suggested that chelate-assisted phytoextraction was more suitable for slightly contaminated soils.  相似文献

The accumulation and effect of cadmium (Cd) on the growth and enzymatic activities changes of antioxidants in Tagetes patula, French marigold, were investigated to reveal the physiological mechanisms corresponding to its Cd tolerance and accumulation. Hydroponically grown T. patula plants were treated with different concentrations of Cd (0, 10, 25, 50 μM Cd Cl(2)) at various regime of times. T. patula accumulated Cd to a maximum of 450 mg Cd kg(-1) dry weight (DW) in shoot and 3500 mg Cd kg(-1) DW in root after 14 days' exposure at 10 and 50 μM Cd Cl(2), respectively. The translocation factors of Cd were greater than 1 in plants exposed to 10 μM Cd Cl(2). Toxic effects were gradually observed with increasing Cd concentration (25 and 50 μM) accompanied with the reduction of biomass, chlorophyll content, decrease of cell viability and the increase level of lipid peroxidation. In leaves of T. patula, the activities of ascorbate peroxidase (APX), glutathione reductase (GR) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) were induced by Cd. However, in roots, activities of APX, GR, SOD and catalase (CAT) were significantly reduced by 25 and 50 μM Cd treatment but not 10 μM Cd. In-gel zymography analysis revealed that Cd induced the enzymatic activities of APX, MnSOD, CuZnSOD and different isozymes of GR in leaves. These results indicate that T. patula is a novel Cd accumulator and able to tolerate with Cd-induced toxicity by activation of its antioxidative defense system.  相似文献

Pot experiments were conducted to investigate the changes of the dissolved organic matter (DOM) in the rhizosphere of hyperaccumulating ecotype (HE) and non-hyperaccumulating ecotype (NHE) of Sedum alfredii and its effects on Zn and Cd sorption by soils. After planted with HE, soil pH in the rhizosphere reduced by 0.5-0.6 units which is consistent with the increase of DOM. The hydrophilic fractions (51%) in DOM from the rhizosphere of HE (HE-DOM) was much greater than NHE-DOM (35%). In the presence of HE-DOM, Zn and Cd sorption capacity decreased markedly in the following order: calcareous clay loam > neutral clay loam > acidic silty clay. The sorption isotherms could be well described by the Freundlich equation (R2 > 0.95), and the partition coefficient (K) in the presence of HE-DOM was decreased by 30.7-68.8% for Zn and 20.3-59.2% for Cd, as compared to NHE-DOM. An increase in HE-DOM concentration significantly reduced the sorption and increased the desorption of Zn and Cd by three soils. DOM derived from the rhizosphere of the hyperaccumulating ecotype of S. alfredii could significantly reduce metal sorption and increase its mobility through the formation of soluble DOM-metal complexes.  相似文献

A pot experiment was carried out to study the potential of the plant of Brassica juncea for the phytoextraction of metal from fly ash amended soil and to study correlation between different pool of metals (total, DTPA, CaCl(2) and NH(4)NO(3)) and metal accumulated in the plant in order to assess better extractant for plant available metals. The results of total metal analysis in the soil revealed the presence of Cr, which was found below detection limit (BDL) in the plants. The fly ash (FA) amendments and soil samples were extracted with different extractants and the level of metal vary from one extractant to another. The regression analysis between total and extractable metals showed better regression for all the tested metals except Mn (R(2)=0.001) in DTPA extraction. Correlation coefficient between metal accumulation by the plant tissues and different pool of metals showed better correlation with DTPA in case of Fe, Zn and Ni, whereas, Cu was significantly correlated with NH(4)NO(3) and other metals (Pb, Mn) with CaCl(2). The soil analysis results revealed that the mobility and plant availability of metals (Fe, Mn, Zn, Ni) within the profiles of amended soils was influenced by the change in pH, however, Pb and Cu was not affected. The metal accumulation in total plant tissues was found in the order of Fe>Ni>Zn>Mn>Cu>Pb and its translocation was found more in upper part. The plants grown on soil amended with 25%FA have shown significant increase in plant biomass, shoot and plant height, whereas, no significant effect was observed in root length. The cluster analysis showed 10%FA behave differently on the basis of physico-chemical properties and metal behavior. Thus, it may be concluded that B. juncea can be used for phytoextraction of metals, especially Ni in fly ash amendment soil.  相似文献

The driving force for creep crack growth is dominated by local elastic-plastic stress in the creep damage zone around a crack tip, temperature and microstructure. In previous work, C, Ct, load line displacement rate dδ/dt and Q parameters have been proposed as formulations of creep crack growth rate (CCGR). Furthermore, using parameters mentioned above, the construction of the algorithm of predictive law for creep crack growth life is necessary for life assessment procedures. The aim of this paper is to identify the effects of component size, geometry, microstructure, aging and weldment on the embrittling behavior of creep crack growth and incorporate these effects in a predictive law, using the Q parameter. It was found that for specimen size (width and thickness) and of material softening due to aging the values of the activation energy were the same whereas for grain size change and structural brittleness, which affected crack tip multi-axial stress state the values for the activation energy for CCGR differ.  相似文献

The reaction of acenaphthenequinone - a low-cost commercial product with an insulator's behavior - with an active methylene (malononitrile CNCH2CN) was carried out. This is a simple, one-pot reaction with satisfactory efficiency. Setting the experimental procedure, the introduction of one or two nitrile groups in the original molecule was made possible. In fact, a new product was synthesized, in the second case. Afterwards, the photoconductivity of the as-prepared materials was measured. Thanks to the development of extended π-conjugated systems, as proved, the products show a remarkable photosensitivity. This synthesis can be also applied even to other active methylene compounds, such as ethyl cyanoacetate (NCCH2COOEt) [I. Mhaidat, S. Hamilakis, C. Kollia, A. Tsolomitis, Z. MoNxOy films were deposited on steel substrates by dc reactive magnetron sputtering. The depositions were carried out from a pure molybdenum target, varying the flow rate of reactive gases. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results revealed the occurrence of cubic MoNx and hexagonal (δ-MoN) phases for the films with high nitrogen flow rates. The increase of oxygen content induces the decrease of the grain size of the molybdenum nitride crystallites. The thermal stability of a set of samples was studied in vacuum, for an annealing time of 1 h, for temperatures ranging from 500 to 800 °C in 100 °C steps. The results showed that pure molybdenum nitride films changed their structure from a meta-stable cubic MoN to hexagonal δ-MoN and cubic γ-Mo2N-type structures with increasing annealing temperatures. The samples with molybdenum nitride films evidenced a good thermal stability, but those with molybdenum oxynitride coatings showed a tendency to detach with the increase of the annealing temperature.  相似文献

Nuclear reactor pressure vessel (RPV) steels degrade due to neutron irradiation during normal operation. As a result, the ductile-brittle transition curve of the steel shifts to higher temperature which decreases operation margins in both the temperature and pressure. The loss of these margins however can be offset somewhat by appealing to arguments based on constraint of potential/postulated shallow cracks. In this paper, it is demonstrated that the fracture toughness values for shallow flaws are higher than those determined from standard deep cracked test specimens based on constraint consideration. The J-A2 three-term solution is used to characterize the crack-tip stress field where J represents the level of loading and A2 quantifies the level of constraint. Based on the RKR cleavage model, procedures to quantify the temperature shift between specimens with different constraint levels are developed. The experimental data by Sherry et al. [Sherry AH, Lidbury DPG, Beardsmore DW. Validation of constraint based structural integrity assessment methods. Final report, Report No. AEAT/RJCB/RD01329400/R003, AEA Technology, UK, 2001] for the A533B RPV steel are used to demonstrate the procedure and it is shown that the ductile-brittle transition curve shifts to lower temperature from high constraint to low constraint specimens.  相似文献

In this work, the influence of different metal ions on laccase activity and laccase-catalyzed dye decolorization was investigated under in vitro conditions using crude laccase obtained from a white rot fungus Ganoderma lucidum. Laccase activity was enhanced by metal ions such as Ca2+, Co2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ at low concentrations (1 mM). Increasing the concentration of metal ions except that of Cu2+ and Zn2+ up to 5 mM and above decreased the enzyme activity. Among several heavy metals, Fe2+ highly inhibited the enzyme activity. Effect of metal ions was tested on decolorization of two reactive dyes, namely Remazol black-B (RB-5) and Remazol brilliant blue R (RBBR) at a concentration of 50 mg l−1. The presence of heavy metals generally did not exert much influence on the decolorization except Fe2+. Cu2+ and Cr6+ enhanced the decolorization of both dyes. In the presence of 1 mM Cu2+, 94% of RB-5 and 35.5% of RBBR were decolorized during 1 h incubation. G. lucidum laccase was able to tolerate mixture of several metal ions. Treatment of simulated reactive dye effluent by laccase showed that the redox mediator system is necessary for effluent decolorization. Syringaldehyde, a natural redox mediator, was very effective than the synthetic mediator 1-hydroxybenzotriazole (HBT). The initial rate of effluent decolorization in presence of syringaldehyde (0.0831 h−1) was 5.6 times higher than HBT (0.0152 h−1). Although the rate of decolorization was markedly decreased in the effluent containing mixed metal ions, presence of syringaldehyde showed effective decolorization. This study indicates that G. lucidum laccase and natural redox mediator system could be a potential candidate for color removal from reactive dye effluent.  相似文献

The chemical structure and electrical properties of HfO2 thin film grown by rf reactive magnetron sputtering after rapid thermal annealing (RTA) were investigated. The chemical composition of HfO2 films and interfacial chemical structure of HfO2/Si in relation to the RTA process were examined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Hf 4f and O 1s core level spectra suggest that the as-deposited HfO2 film is nonstoichiometric and the peaks shift towards lower binding energy after RTA. The Hf-Si bonds at the HfO2/Si interface can be broken after RTA to form Hf-Si-O bonds. The electrical characteristics of HfO2 films were determined by capacitance-voltage (C-V) and current density-voltage (J-V) measurements. The results showed that the density of fixed charge and leakage current density of HfO2 film were decreased after the RTA process in N2 atmosphere.  相似文献

An experimental study of the influence of deposition conditions of GaAs thin films growth, by radio frequency sputtering method, on the structure and the refraction index has been performed. The X-ray diffraction and spectrophotometer results, with different deposition conditions, are reported.The refraction index depends on the structure, which also depends on four deposition parameters, namely, the self-bias voltage, Vp, the argon pressure, PAr, the target-to-substrate distance, d, and the substrate temperature, Ts. Hence, it has been observed that, the index refraction of the films decreases with Vp and Ts and increases essentially with PAr.  相似文献

The demand for effective adsorbents is to increase in response to the widespread recognition of the deleterious health effects of Cr(VI)-oxyanions exposure through drinking water. In this study, Cr(VI)-oxyanions uptake from aqueous solutions by a new bolaform N,N,N,N',N',N'-hexamethyl-1,9-nonanediammonium dibromide reagent-modified natural zeolitic materials from Zahedan, Iran, was investigated using batch technique. Spectrophotometry method was used for Cr determination. The Cr(VI)-solution concentration varied between 2 and 104 mg L(-1). It was shown that the Cr(VI) uptake strongly depended on pH. The maximum removal of Cr(VI) occurred in acidic media at pH<1.5. The amounts of Cr(VI) adsorbed increased with increase in dose of both adsorbents and their contact time. Based on results an adsorption mechanism has been suggested. The adsorption data for modified zeolite using the amine was consistent with Langmuir isotherm equation and the equilibrium data was analyzed using the Langmuir isotherm.  相似文献

Effect of Aeolosoma hemprichi on excess activated sludge reduction   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In order to stabilize the growth of A. hemprichi and minimize the sludge production through biological predation, A. hemprichi was inoculated in batch and continuous experiments to investigate the growth characteristics and the effect on sludge reduction in this study. Various available volatile suspended solid (AVSS) concentrations were obtained after the ultrasonic irradiation on pre-sterilized sludge. It was found the density of A. hemprichi was proportionate to AVSS concentration. A. hemprichi reached the maximum density when AVSS concentration was more than 3000mg/L. No obvious difference was found between the initial specific growth ratio (mu) of A. hemprichi at various AVSS concentrations. When N>0.5N(L), mu decreased with the increase of A. hemprichi and Logistic model was adopted to fit the growth of A. hemprichi. Sludge reduction rate was correlated with both the growth rate and the density of A. hemprichi. The results indicated the sludge reduction rate was maximum at the density of 315ind./mL. Sludge retention time (SRT) could effectively control the growth density of A. hemprichi in continuous tests.  相似文献

We are developing a bioreactor system for treating dioxin-contaminated soil or water using the dioxin-degrading fungus, Pseudallescheria boydii (P. boydii). In order to design the bioreactor system, this study estimated the rate at which P. boydii degraded 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (2,3,7,8-TCDD), which is the most toxic of the dioxins. The experimental results showed that P. boydii degraded 2,3,7,8-TCDD during its logarithmic growth phase, using glucose as a carbon source for growth, and that the growth of P. boydii was not affected by 2,3,7,8-TCDD concentrations usually found at contaminated sites. These results were then used to apply successfully an existing mathematical model to the degradation of 2,3,7,8-TCDD by P. boydii. This allowed an estimation of the rate of degradation of 2,3,7,8-TCDD by P. boydii that can be used in the design of the bioreactor system.  相似文献

The objective of the present study is to determine the influence of the loading rate on the critical energy release rate GIc of fibre-reinforced epoxy laminates. In order to perform pure mode I loading at higher opening velocities, a new test device is developed. The approach is based on a symmetrical opening displacement applied to a DCB specimen. In the data reduction, the influence of the kinetic energy has to be taken into account. The results obtained on the unidirectional carbon-epoxy laminate T300/914 at crack opening rates up to 1.6 m/s show a slight effect of the loading rate on GIc.  相似文献

Bagasse is a by-product of sugar milling and important fuel resource for that industry. It is a fibrous, low density material with a very wide range of particle sizes and high moisture content. The goal of this study is the development of a system based on the use of the ligninolytic enzyme manganese peroxidase (MnP) produced by Phanerochaete chrysosporium for the degradation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), of which anthracene was selected as an example. The white rot fungus P. chrysosporium immobilized on bagasse was grown in both stationary and agitated cultures (rotary shaker, 80rpm) using nitrogen limited growth medium to study the ability of the fungus to degrade anthracene in aqueous media. Production of MnP occurred simultaneously in nitrogen limited culture medium with the added MnSO4 at 40ppm. The MnP activity was at relatively high level (76Ul(-1)) and in this condition, the residual anthracene concentration was 16%.  相似文献

A few researchers have reported on work concerning bioleaching of heavy-metal-contaminated soil using Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans, since this acidophile is sensitive to dissolved low molecular weight (LMW) organic acids. Iron oxidation by A. ferrooxidans R2 as well as growth on ferrous iron was inhibited by a variety of dissolved LMW organic acids. Growth experiments with ferrous iron as an oxidant showed that the inhibition capability sequence was formic acid>acetic acid>propionic acid>oxalic acid>malic acid>citric acid. The concentrations that R2 might tolerate were formic acid 0.1mmolL(-1) (2mmolkg(-1)soil), acetic and propionic acids 0.4mmolL(-1) (8mmolkg(-1)soil), oxalic acid 2.0mmolL(-1) (40mmolkg(-1)soil), malic acid 20mmolL(-1) (400mmolkg(-1)soil), citric acid 40mmolL(-1) (800mmolkg(-1)soil), respectively. Although R2 was sensitive to organic acids, the concentrations of LMW organic acids in the contaminated soils were rather lower than the tolerable levels. Hence, it is feasible that R2 might be used for bioleaching of soils contaminated with metals or metals coupled with organic compounds because of the higher concentrations of LMW organic acids to which R2 is tolerant.  相似文献

The effect of different physicochemical treatments on the aerobic biodegradability of an industrial wastewater resulting from a cosmetic industry has been investigated. This industrial wastewater contains 11423 and 3148mgL(-1) of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and anionic surfactants, respectively. The concentration of COD and anionic surfactants were followed throughout the diverse physicochemical treatments and biodegradation experiments. Different pretreatments of this industrial wastewater using chemical flocculation process with lime and aluminium sulphate (alum), and also advanced oxidation process (electro-coagulation (Fe and Al) and electro-Fenton) led to important COD and anionic surfactants removals. The best results were obtained using electro-Fenton process, exceeding 98 and 80% of anionic surfactants and COD removals, respectively. The biological treatment by an isolated strain Citrobacter braakii of the surfactant wastewater, as well as the pretreated wastewater by the various physicochemical processes used in this study showed that the best results were obtained with electro-Fenton pretreated wastewater. The characterization of the treated surfactant wastewater by the integrated process (electro-coagulation or electro-Fenton)-biological showed that it respects Tunisian discharge standards.  相似文献

In this study, isolation and characterization of exopolysaccharides produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa B1, P. fluorescens B5, P. stutzeri B11 and P. putida B15 which had been seen to produce exopolymers of potential interest in biotechnological applications were examined. To initiate the observation of the organic pollutants–polymer interactions, the yield and properties of their extracellular polysaccharide were researched. The exopolysaccharide production by these strains during growth in nutrient broth medium (control) was 41–75 mg L−1. Also, P. aeruginosa B1, P. fluorescens B5, P. stutzeri B11 and P. putida B15 had exhibited high production of EPSs in presence of various organic pollutants (2,4-D, benzene, BTX and gasoline, respectively) in mineral salt medium (MSM) as a sole carbon source. EPS production by the 4 strains ranged from 40 mg L−1 to 8 mg L−1. Monosaccharide composition of EPS produced by these cultures were analyzed by HPLC. Results indicated that EPSs of strains contained neutral sugars and acetylated amino sugars. The neutral sugars in the EPS were mainly composed of glucose, arabinose, glycerol, ribose. The presence of galactronic acid, N-acetyl-d-galactosamin and N-acetyl-d-glucosamine indicated the acidic nature of the polysaccharide. Glycerol was the basic structural unit of EPS produced by the strains except P. stutzeri B11 (MSM with 1% BTX). Strain B1 (in NB medium) was found to be composed of neutral sugars (100%) while strain B1 [in MSM medium with 0.2% (v/v) 2.4-D] contained neutral sugars (70.0%), acetylated amino sugars (30.0%). Also, EPS content of strain B5 (in the NB medium) was neutral sugars (99.8%), acetylated amino sugars (0.2%) while the strain B5 [in MSM medium containing the 1% (v/v) benzene] was found to contain neutral sugars (99.9%), acetylated amino sugars (0.1%). However, EPS monomer composition by strain B11 was detected as neutral sugars (99.77%), acetylated amino sugars (0.23%) in NB medium while the strain B11 [in MSM medium with 1% (v/v) BTX] contained neutral sugars (98.2%) and acetylated amino sugars (1.8%). Lastly, in NB medium by strain B15 was found to contain neutral sugars (99.9%) and acetylated amino sugars (0.1%) while in MSM medium in the presence of 1% (v/v) gasoline it was found to contain neutral sugars (83.6%), acetylated amino sugars (16.4%). Monomer composition of control EPSs changed to different structures in the presence of various organic pollutants. Diversities of organic compounds as carbon source affected the monomer composition of EPS produced by some Pseudomonas spp. cultures.  相似文献

Hybrid thin films have been deposited on silicon substrates under several conditions such as different annealing temperatures and RF power by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition method using single molecular precursors. The result of the FT-IR measurement showed that the plasma polymerized thin films have highly cross-linked density with increasing RF power and annealing temperature. An impedance analyzer was utilized for the measurements of I-V and C-V curves. From the electrical properties measurements, the lowest dielectric constant and best leakage constant were obtained to be 2.26 and 10− 9 A/cm2 at 1 MV/cm, respectively. Also, the mechanical properties of the films were determined with nano-indentation.  相似文献
