A new type of partial-dielectric-loaded rectangular waveguide grating slow-wave structure (SWS) for millimeter wave traveling wave tube (TWT) is presented in this paper. The radio-frequency characteristics including the dispersion properties, the longitudinal electric field distribution and the beam-wave coupling impedance of this structure are analyzed. The results show that the dispersion of the rectangular waveguide grating circuit is weakened, the phase velocity is reduced and the position of the maximum E z is basically invariant after partially filling the dielectric materials in the rectangular waveguide grating SWS. Although the coupling impedance decreases a little, it still keeps above 40 Ω. 相似文献

A general analysis approach to multi-object(M-object)scattering systems of ar-bitrary structure is presented.Through the system scattering equation(SSE),the M-objectproblems are first transformed into a series of single-object(S-object)problems and then arethey solved,one-object by one-object,to determine the unknown coefficients of SSE.Finally theSSE is solved to yield the global solutions of original M-object problems.As to the solution ofS-object problems concerned,we use the global numerical boundary condition(GNBC)basedfinite element method(FEM)for complex scatterers,or the moment method(MM)for conduct-ing scatterers.For clarity we will confine ourself in two-dimensional(2-D)cases,and show somecalculation examples of M-object scattering systems for demonstration. 相似文献

A generalized spectral Green's function formulation of N-layer substrate structure is given with three dimension sources, which is a set of closed form formulas. A full-wave analysis model for rectangular microstrip antennas covered with N-dielectric layers has been established by using the above spectral Green's function. The unknown surface current density on the niicrostrip patch for such structure is found as a solution of an integral equation. The input VSWR and radiation patterns of the antenna are also obtained. An improved generalized admittance (GAM) matrix technique is presented in this paper. Matrix transformation eliminates the singularity factor of GAM, denominator (1+Γ), because of new presentations of GAM. The relationship equations between II-port current and I-port incidence wave is computed by mode matching method. The generalized scattering matrix (GSM) of waveguide structure and its discontinuity problems is obtained with relationship equations and reflection coefficients. The GSM’s of millimeter-wave multistepped bend and T-junction in rectangular waveguide are computed by the improved GAM technique. The results comparisons between the proposed method and commercial software HFSS10.0 show the validity of the proposed method, which improves the validity of the GAM technique and reduces mathematical efforts. It is general, very efficient and can be used to solve other complicated and multiport network problems. 相似文献

Based on the second kind of Green's identity,a boundary integral equation forarbitrary cross-section waveguide is transformed to a system of linear homogeneous algebraicequations by means of expansion of boundary bases and by using the eigenfunctions of a fictitiousregular boundary as weighting functions,which corresponds to less algebraic equations than BEMand simpler coefficients than the modified BEM.The numerical results for some typical metallicwaveguides are given by using the method of eigen-weighted boundary integral equation,and theyare accurate enough with fast convergence. 相似文献

A rigorous electromagnetic theory is developed to analyze multiport waveguide junctions with artificial inclusions formed of the conducting strips and dielectric layers. The method is based on the Fourier transform technique combined with the mode matching method technique that takes into account the edge conditions in vicinity of the strip edges. The scattering characteristics of a 3-port junction are discussed with the numerical examples for the SWR maps, the power reflection and transmission coefficients, and the 2D plots of near fields distributions inside the junction area. A strategy of optimize matching properties of the 3-port waveguide junctions is also presented. 相似文献

The dispersion characteristics of a circular dielectric waveguide with periodic metal-lic strips are analyzed by the Galerkin's method.After obtaining the rigorous dispersion equation,the dispersion curves for both TE_(01)and TM_(01)modes are calculated by the improved Newton'smethod.The variations of the normalized center frequency,width and maximum attenuation con-stant of the stopband with the normalized width of the metallic strips are given.The convergenceproperties of numerical solutions are also discussed.On the basis of the analysis,some usefulguidelines for filter design are thereby suggested. 相似文献

This paper presents a method to derive the Dyadic Green's Function(DGF)ofa loaded rectangular waveguide by using the image method.In the calculation of the DGF,we use the integral transformation and replace the multi-infinite summation by a single one;thus it greatly simplifies the calculation and saves computer time.As an example of the DGF'sapplication,we give the moment method's scattering field calculation of a metal sphere resting onthe broad wall of the loaded rectangular waveguide.Results of our calculations well agree withboth data of experiments performed in our laboratory and those are published.It is easy to seethat the method used in this paper can be expanded to other related waveguide problems. 相似文献

The electron optical column for the variable rectangular-shaped beam lithographysystem DJ-2 is described,with emphasis on the analysis of the optical configuration and theshaping deflection compensation.In this column the variable spot shaping is performed with aminimum number of lenses by a more reasonable optical scheme.A high-sensitivity electrostaticshaping deflector with sequential parallel-plates is implemented for high-speed spot shaping.With a precise linear and rotational approach,the spot current density,the edge resolution aswell as the position of spot origin remain unchanged when the spot size varies.Experiments showthat the spot current density of over 0.4 A/cm~2 is obtained with a tungsten hairpin cathode,andthe edge resolution is better than 0.2μm within a 2×2 mm~2 field size. 相似文献

In this article, rectangle, trapezoidal and T type microstrip lines embedded into up cladding of the waveguide are designed. By the analysis of the finite element method (FEM), this embedded microstrip line has perfect velocity matching between the electric signal and lightwave carrier and at the same time, conductor loss of the trapezoidal and T type microstrip lines also reduce. Thus the modulator’s bandwidth increases greatly. Calculations show that, comparing with one of non-embedded rectangle microstrip line which is the most familiar configuration of polymer modulator, the optical 3-dB bandwidths of embedded trapezoidal and T type microstrip increase 264% and 339% respectively under the condition of impedance matching. 相似文献

The coupling properties of a transverse slot in the common wall between two buttingrectangular waveguides are discussed.By means of Galerkin's method which takes into accountthe wall thickness,equivalent magnetic currents on the aperture surface of the slot are obtained,and then the general formulae of scattering fields and of equivalent parameters are derived.Thedimensions as well as seats of those two waveguides and the slot,and the thickness of the wall arearbitrary.For example,the transforming coefficients and the VSWRs of numerical calculationand experimental results are given.They are in good agreement. 相似文献

This paper studies Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images contaminated by the coherent speckle noise with the multiresolution analysis of wavelet transform. This study shows that the influences of the speckle on different frequency components of the SAR image are different, and that the SAR image and the speckle have different manners of singularity. So, this paper presents a denoising method of wavelet analysis to reduce the speckle. Some experiments approve that this method not only suppresses the speckle effectively, but also preserves as much target characteristics of the original image as possible. It shows that this denoising method of wavelet analysis offers a very attractive alternative to suppress the coherent speckle noise of the SAR image. 相似文献

The arbitrarily open trapezoidal-groove guide is analyzed with the conformal mapping technique. A new formula is given for the evaluation of one fundamental parameter associated with the technique. The relationship between the cut-off wavelength for the dominant mode and the geometry of the guide structure is studied; dispersion characteristic of the groove guide is also given. Some numerical results are shown to be in good agreement with both experimental data and the results of the finite element method (FEM). Moreover, it is testified that dispersion of the trapezoidal-groove guide is low. The obtained results are significant for the design and application of the open trapezoidal-groove guide for millimeter waves. 相似文献

MODAL ANALYSIS OF A SLOTTED WAVEGUIDE: COMPARISON BETWEEN ANALYTIC SOLUTION AND COMPUTER SIMULATIONS
Because of the complicated geometry of the slotted structure, analytical theories of such structures are inevitably developed on the basis of simplifying assumptions. On the other hand, the accuracy of the theory is of importance to the design of microwave interaction structures. In this study, modes of the slotted waveguide are investigated analytically and simulated with the HFSS code. It is shown that, in spite of the approximations made, the dispersion relation and field patterns of the standard analytical theory are in excellent agreement with the HFSS simulations over the complete range of the slot depth. The analysis of cell loss rates in an ATM Mux with loss priorities is an important problem in the-study of traffic control in ATM networks. In this paper, the loss rates of the cells with different priorities in an ATM Mux are analyzed by approximating the actual input process with two-state MMDP and fluid flow technique, and the analytical expressions of the relation between the loss rates and the buffer size are obtained.
