Radical polymerization of butyl acrylate (BA) and random copolymerizations of styrene (St) and BA and St and methyl methacrylate (MMA) in the presence of 7-aza-15-hydroxydispiro[5.1.5.3]hexadecane-7-yloxyl (1) and 1-aza-2,2-dimethyl-4-hydroxyspiro[5.6]dodecane-1-yloxyl (2) were carried out. Radical polymerization of BA at 120 °C in the presence of 1 gave poly(BA) with Mn=20200 and Mw/Mn=1.30 at 23% conversion. The termination of polymerization observed around ∼20% conversion was solved to a certain extent by an addition of small amounts of dicumyl peroxide, and poly(BA) with Mn=37400 and Mw/Mn=1.33 was obtained in 46% yield. Random copolymerizations of St and BA and St and MMA in the presence of 1 and 2 at 80 °C gave the corresponding random copolymers with narrow polydispersities of 1.12-1.38 at the molar fraction above 0.30 of St in feed. The kinetic study for the NO-C bond homolysis of the corresponding alkoxyamines prepared from 1 and 2 were carried out, and evaluation of the preexponential factors (Aact) and the activation parameters (Eact) showed that the steric factors of the nitroxides are reflected mainly on Eact.  相似文献

A new cyclic nitroxide 1 and the corresponding alkoxyamines 9 and 10 were synthesized and the polymerization of styrene (St) initiated with 10 was investigated. The NO-C bond of 9 is very weak, cleaving at room temperature. On the other hand, alkoxyamine 10 is stable at room temperature and the Aact and Eact for the NO-C bond homolysis were determined to be 1.4 × 1015 s−1 and 124.5 kJ mol−1, respectively. When the polymerization of St was carried out at 70 °C, the resultant poly(St) showed narrow polydispersities below 1.25. In the polymerization at 90 °C, the resulting poly(St) showed narrow polydispersity until 60% conversion, but Mw/Mn was rapidly increased above 60% conversion. On the other hand, the polymerization at 120 °C gave poly(St) with broad polydispersities. The unusual polymerization behavior was discussed on the basis of the SEC and ESR results.  相似文献

The anionic polymerizations of 2-chloroethyl methacrylate (1), 2-bromoethyl methacrylate (2), and 2-iodoethyl methacrylate (3) were carried out in THF at −78 °C with 1,1-diphenyl-3-methylpentyllithium in the presence of LiCl. The polymerizations proceeded in a controlled manner to quantitatively afford polymers with predictable molecular weights and narrow molecular weight distributions. Under similar conditions, the anionic block copolymerizations by the sequential addition of methyl methacrylate (MMA) followed by 1, 2, and 3 generated the corresponding diblock copolymers with well-defined structures. On the other hand, in the block copolymerization by the reverse addition of monomer, a well-defined diblock copolymer, poly(1)-block-PMMA, could be synthesized only by the sequential addition of 1 followed by MMA, whereas the block copolymerizations using 2 and 3 were not successful because of instabilities of the propagating chain-end anions derived from 2 and 3. The side reactions which occurred during the polymerization were discussed.  相似文献

4-Vinylbenzyl glucoside peracetate 1 was polymerized with α,α′-bis(2′,2′,6′,6′-tetramethyl-1′-piperidinyloxy)-1,4-diethylbenzene 2 in chlorobenzene using (1S)-(+)-10-camphorsulfonic acid anhydrous (CSA) as an accelerator ([1]=0.4 M,[1]/[2]/[CSA]=75/1/1.3) at 125 °C for 5 h. The polymerization afforded poly(4-vinylbenzyl glucoside peracetate) having TEMPO moieties on both sides of the chain ends, 3, with a molecular weight (Mw,SLS) of 8500, a polydispersity index (Mw/Mn) of 1.09, and an average degree of polymerization of the 1 unit (x) of 17. Styrene (St) was polymerized with 3 in chlorobenzene at 125 °C (St/chlorobenzene=1/2, w/w). The polymerization successfully afforded polystyrene-poly(4-vinyl glucoside peracetate)-polystyrene, 4, when the polymerization time was below about 2 h. Polymer 4 with the Mw,SLS of 12,500, 17,900, and 29,400, the compositions (y-x-y) of 20-17-20, 45-17-45, and 100-17-100, and the Mw/Mn of 1.12, 1.14 and 1.17 were modified by deacetylation using sodium methoxide in dry-THF into polystyrene-poly(4-vinyl glucoside peracetate)-polystyrene, 5. The solubility of polymer 5 was examined using a good solvent for polystyrene such as toluene and for the saccharide such as H2O.  相似文献

A series of phosphoryl (PO) contained compounds: triethylphosphate (a), diethylphenylphosphate (b), ethyldiphenylphosphate (c) triarylphosphates (d and h-m), triphenylphosphine oxide (e), phenyl diphenylphosphinate (f) and diphenyl phenylphosphonate (g) have been prepared. Iron catalysts, which are generated in situ by mixing the compounds with Fe(2-EHA)3 and AliBu3 in hexane, are tested for butadiene polymerization at 50 °C. Phosphates donated catalysts have been, unprecedently, found to conduct extremely high syndiotactically (pentad, rrrr = 46.1-94.5%) enriched 1,2-selective (1,2-structure content = 56.2-94.3%) polymerization of butadiene. Introduction of electron withdrawing substituents on phenyl rings oftriphenylphosphate (k-m) remarkably promotes catalytic activity, while bulky substituent isopropyl at 2-position (h) has beneficial influence on regioselectivity. Employment of e, f or g as donor, results in a suppressed monomer conversion, accompanied by deteriorated 1,2-regioselectivity. The effects of polymerization conditions such as reaction temperature, types of cocatalysts and polymerization medium are also investigated by using catalyst system with tri(2,4-difluorophenyl)phosphate (m) as donor. Highly tolerance to polymerization temperature up to 80 °C is observed for the first time in the iron-based catalyst.  相似文献

Poly(phenylacetylene)s carrying alkoxyamine moieties in the side chain were prepared by Rh-catalyzed homopolymerization of 1-(4-ethynylphenyl)-1-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxyl)ethane (1) and random copolymerization of 1 and 4-methoxy-1-ethynylbenzene (2a) or 4-decyloxy-1-ethynylbenzene (2b). 1H NMR spectra showed that the poly(phenylacetylene)s adopted a cis-transoid structure. Using the poly(phenylacetylene)s as the macroinitiator the nitroxide-mediated radical polymerization of styrene (St) was carried out at 120 °C to yield densely grafted copolymers as a light yellow powder. The side chain lengths of the graft copolymers were determined by both 1H NMR and conversion of St, which agreed with each other. The SEC profiles of the graft copolymers were unimodal at low conversions but were not unimodal at high conversion: a shoulder was observed in the high molecular=weight region and a small peak was observed in the low molecular=weight region. 1H NMR measurements of the graft copolymers indicated that the copolymers adopted a trans-transoid structure, revealing that isomerization from cis-transoid to trans-transoid forms took place during the polymerization of St at 120 °C.  相似文献

The ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of norbornene derivatives 1-5 bearing oligomeric siloxane pendant groups was carried out with Grubbs 1st and 2nd generation, and Grubbs-Hoveyda ruthenium (Ru) catalysts. Monomer 1 gave high-molecular-weight polymers (Mn ca. 27?000-180?000) in high yields (80-100%). Monomers 2-5 also polymerized with Ru carbene catalysts to give high-molecular-weight polymers (Mn ca. 34?000-240?000) in high yields (66-100%). The onset temperatures of weight loss (T0) of the polymers were 180-250 °C. The glass transition temperatures (Tgs) of poly(1) and poly(2) bearing branched siloxane linkages were near or higher than room temperature (27 and 101 °C). Meanwhile, the Tgs of poly(3)-poly(5) bearing linear siloxane linkages were much lower (−115 to −23 °C), and decreased with increasing length of the siloxane linkages. Poly(1) and poly(2) were hydrogenated completely, which was confirmed by 1H NMR spectroscopy. The free-standing membranes of poly(1) and poly(2) showed high gas permeability; especially poly(2) is the most permeable to various gases among ROMP-polynorbornene derivatives reported so far.  相似文献

This paper describes the preparations and lithium-ion conductivities of various solid polymer electrolytes for potential use in high-energy density lithium-ion batteries. The ring opening polymerization of epoxides (M1M6), catalyzed by Zn(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) complexes in the presence of tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB), yielded polyethers (P1P6) in which phosphates were attached as pendant groups. A reaction condition where Zn(II) catalyst used slightly excess to TBAB increased the polymerization rate remarkably and yielded the polyethers with higher molar masses in a short time. These polymerizations proceeded following a “monomer activated anionic ring opening polymerization” mechanism. These living like polymerizations also progressed according to “formation of polymer chain per initiator” model. The solid-state lithium-ion conductivities of these polymers were examined using lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI). The conductivity of one of the solid polymer electrolytes with 40 wt% of LiTFSI was 5.2 × 10−5 S cm−1 at room temperature and 2.9 × 10−4 S cm−1 at 80 °C.  相似文献

A series of new titanium isopropoxide complexes (1-4-Ti(OiPr)2 based on enantiopure (1-H2), racemic (2-H2), meso (3-H2) and diastereomeric (4-H2) aminodiol ligands have been prepared and tested as initiators for the ring opening polymerization (ROP) of l/rac-lactide in solution and in bulk conditions. All complexes were shown to have significant activity in solution at 70 °C and higher activity in bulk at 130 °C with a good control over the molar mass distribution and molecular weights. The complex derived from the racemic-aminodiol ligand gave partially heterotactic polylactide in ROP of rac-lactide and afforded atactic polylactide in the bulk, whereas all other complexes yielded atactic polylactides both in solution and in bulk. Ligand variation (chirality) in the complexes has little effect on either the activity or selectivity of the initiators. The polymerization kinetics using (1-Ti(OiPr)2) as an initiator indicated a first order reaction with respect to the monomer concentration.  相似文献

4-Vinylbenzyl glucoside peracetate (1) was copolymerized with divinylbenzene (DVB) using 1-phenyl-1-(2′,2′,6′,6′-tetramethyl-1′-piperidinyloxy)ethane (2) as an initiator in m-xylene at 138 °C for 20 h ([DVB]/[2]=28; [DVB]=0.62 mol L−1). The copolymerizations were performed using the mole fraction of 1 in the total feed of 1 and DVB (F1: [1]/[1]+[DVB]) ranging from 0.11 to 0.38 that produced the polystyrene (PSt) microgel with acetyl glucose, 3, in 46-53% yields. Dynamic laser light scattering (DLS) measurements showed that 3 was stably suspended in toluene as particles with average diameters (d's) ranging from 12 to 22 nm. A static laser light scattering (SLS) measurement gave the average molar mass, Mw,SLS, of 3 that ranged from 9.69×104 to 6.96×105. The numbers of the 1, 2, and DVB units in 3 (N1, N2, and NDVB, respectively) were from 111 to 238, from 17 to 208, and from 350 to 4510, respectively. The deacetylation of 3 was achieved by treatment with sodium methoxide in dry 1,4-dioxane to produce the PSt microgel with glucose as the hydrophilic segment, 4. The solubilities of 4 in toluene, CHCl3, THF, 1,4-dioxane, pyridine, DMF, DMSO, and H2O, and the mixture of H2O and 1,4-dioxane were examined, indicating that a hydrophilic property had been effectively introduced into 4.  相似文献

According to the observable evidence from 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry, new dinuclear constrained geometry catalysts (DCGCs) with a structure of [{Ti(η51-(C9H5)Si(CH3)2NtBu)Cl2(CH2)n}2(C6H4)] [n = 0 (10), n = 1 (11), n = 2 (12)] were synthesized successfully. Copolymerization of ethylene and styrene were tested by using three new DCGCs and Dow CGC. The catalyst activity, the molecular weight (MW) and styrene content of the copolymers were sharply improved as the bridge structure was transformed from para-phenyl (10) to para-xylyl (11) and para-diethylenephenyl (12). The activity of 11 and 12 was about four to five times greater than that of 10 regardless of the polymerization conditions. In addition, the capability to form high MW polymers increased in the order of Dow CGC ≈ 10 < 11 < 12. The styrene contents in copolymers generated by 11 and 12 were higher than those of 10.  相似文献

A series of novel amphiphilic fluorescent CBABC-type pentablock copolymers (Py-PMMA-PEG4600-PMMA-Py) were prepared from BAB-type amphiphilic triblock copolymer (PMMA-PEG4600-PMMA) as macroinitiator with various contents of 1-(methacryloyloxyethylamino-carboxylmethyl) pyrene (PyMOI) by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) in toluene using CuBr/2,2-bipyridine as catalyst system. Triblock copolymer (PMMA-PEG4600-PMMA) was prepared by ATRP and obtained from Br-PEG4600-Br as macroinitiator with methyl methacrylate in tetrahydrofuran using the same catalyst. The molecular weights of pentablock copolymers which were reinitiated by PMMA-PEG4600-PMMA macroinitiator were calculated from 1H NMR spectra up to 42,400 gmol−1. The polydispersity of pentablock copolymers obtained from GPC analysis was narrow between 1.10 and 1.38. The crystallinity of triblock copolymer (PMMA-PEG4600-PMMA) was decreased slightly with incorporating PMMA segment. Introducing the bulky pyrene substituent into pentablock copolymer, the melting temperature was not observed and all pentablock copolymers showed amorphous patterns in wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) due to decrease in the degree of crystallinity of polymer chain because of disturbing regular packing. The temperatures at 10% weight loss (Td10), examined by TG analysis, showed values ranging from 265 to 323 °C in nitrogen and 264 to 313 °C in air. Fluorescence spectra of Py-PMMA-PEG4600-PMMA-Py exhibited stronger excimer emission at ca. 480 nm due to the aggregations of pyrene group formed via interaction of the hydrophobic chains. The more content of PyMOI segment in pentablock copolymers can obtain the higher emission intensity ca. 480 nm. When there were higher PyMOI contents (84.9 wt% PyMOI) in pentablock copolymers, they formed larger aggregates (210 nm) in SEM micrographs. On the other hand, while increasing the concentration of the polymer solution in THF, the morphology was changed from spherical (0.1 mg/mL) to chainlike (1.0 mg/mL) aggregates.  相似文献

(R)-(−) (1) and (S)-(+)-2-(3′-Thienyl)ethyl N-(3″,5″-dinitrobenzoyl)-α-phenylglycinate (2) monomers were synthesized, characterized, and polymerized in chloroform using FeCl3 as an oxidizing agent. Molecular weights of 2.6 × 104 and 3.2 × 104 for poly1 and poly2, respectively, were determined by SEC analysis. FTIR spectra of the polymers indicated the coupling of monomers through the α positions. UV-vis spectra showed absorption bands at λmax = 226 and 423 nm for poly1 and poly2, ascribed to transitions of side groups and polythiophene backbone, respectively. Poly1 and poly2 remained stable up to 210 °C. At higher temperatures, a two step weight loss degradation process was observed for both polymers by TGA analysis. 1H NMR, in the presence of Eu(tfc)3, and optical rotation measurements indicate the chiral properties of the monomers 1 ([α]D28 = −76.2) and 2 ([α]D28 = +76.0), and the maintenance of chirality after polymerization (poly1 [α]D28 = −29.0 and poly2 [α]D28 = +28.4, c = 2.5 in THF). According to scanning electron microscopic analysis, the polymers are highly porous.  相似文献

A new family of iron (II) complexes (2ah) bearing tridentate 2-pyrazolyl substituted 1,10-phenanthroline ligands were successfully prepared and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and mass spectra. Complexes 2af and 2h were further confirmed by the X-ray crystallographic analysis. 2a, 2b, 2e, and 2f adopted distorted trigonal bipyramidal configuration. 2c displayed a distorted octahedron formed by six coordinated nitrogen atoms of the two ligands. Linked by two bridged chloride atoms, complex 2d was a centrosymmetric dimmer, and complex 2h adopted a six-coordinate distorted octahedral geometry due to the coordination of two solvent molecules. These complexes activated by alkylaluminum were examined in butadiene polymerization. In combination with AliBu3, complexes 2ac exhibited high catalytic activity (73.5%–94.3%) at 20 °C, whereas other complexes exhibited much lower activity. Interestingly, the activity and selectivity of the complexes increased as increasing polymerization temperature. In particular, 2b and 2c displayed both high activity (99% and 80%, respectively) and trans-1,4 selectivity (95.6% and 96.2%, respectively) at 60 °C. The trans-1,4 selectivity of 2b varied as alkylaluminum used as a cocatalyst, in the following order: AliBu3 > AlOct3 > AlEt3 > AlMe3, whereas much lower trans-1,4 selectivity was observed in the cases of using MAO and MMAO.  相似文献

Electrochemical oxidation of “cathodically generated 4-aminocatechol (2)” has been studied in the presence of 4-toluenesulfinic acid (4a) and benzenesulfinic acid (4b) as nucleophiles in aqueous solutions, using cyclic voltammetry and controlled-potential coulometry. The results indicate that the o-benzoquinone derived from 4-aminocatechol (2) participates in Michael addition reaction with 4a or 4b to form the corresponding new organosulfone derivatives (5a and 5b). In this work we have proposed a mechanism for the electrode process. A Fe(CN)63−/Fe(CN)64− redox mediator was used for the anodic oxidation of 4-aminocatechol (2) to the corresponding o-quinone 3. The indirect electrochemical process consists of a multi-step such as (a) cathodic reduction of 4-nitrocatechol (1) to 4-aminocatechol (2), (b) chemical oxidation of 4-aminocatechol (2) to 4-aminoquinone (3) with the resulting Fe(CN)63−, (c) the chemical reaction of 4-aminoquinone (3) with 4-toluenesulfinic acid (4a) or benzenesulfinic acid (4b), and (d) the anodic regeneration of Fe(CN)63−. The paired electrochemical synthesis of organosulfone derivatives (5a and 5b) has been successfully performed in an one-pot process at carbon rod electrode as a working and platinum as a counter electrode in an undivided cell.  相似文献

Two novel magnesium aryloxides have been prepared and their catalytic activities toward ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of ε-caprolactone and l-lactide have been investigated. The reaction of 2,2′-(2-methoxybenzylidene)-bis(4,6-di(1-methyl-1-phenylethyl)phenol) (MEMPEP-H2) (1) and 2,2′-methylene-bis(4,6-di(1-methyl-1-phenylethyl)phenol) (MMPEP-H2) with nBu2Mg yield dimeric magnesium complexes [Mg(μ-MEMPEP)(THF)]2 (2) and [Mg(μ-MMPEP)(THF)]2 (3), respectively. Catalytic studies of complexes 2 and 3 illustrate that both 2 and 3 are good catalysts in ε-caprolactone and l-lactide polymerization. Theoretical study of the ROP mechanism of ε-caprolactone catalyzed by 2 demonstrates that the initiator, benzyl alcohol, is activated by the formation of a hydrogen bond with the phenoxy oxygen of MEMPEP2− ligand.  相似文献

Catalytic behavior of tetrahydroborate complexes of rare earth metals, Ln(BH4)3(THF)x (1: Ln = La, x = 3; 2: Ln = Pr, x = 2; 3: Ln = Nd, x = 3; 4: Ln = Sm, x = 3; 5: Ln = Y, x = 2.5; 6: Ln = Yb, x = 3), for ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of six-membered cyclic esters, δ-valerolactone (VL) and d,l-lactide (d,l-LA), was studied. The controlled polymerization of VL with 1-6 proceeded in THF at 60 °C. The catalytic activities of these complexes for the ROP of VL were observed to be in order of the ionic radii of the metals: 1(La) ≥ 2(Pr) ≥ 3(Nd) > 4(Sm) > 5(Y) > 6(Yb). The obtained polymers were demonstrated to be hydroxy-telechelic by 1H NMR and MALDI-TOF MS spectroscopy. The controlled ROP of d,l-LA also proceeded by these complexes. The activities of these complexes for the d,l-LA ROP were also in order of the ionic radii of the metals.  相似文献

Novel chiral acetylene monomers bearing carbazole and triphenylamine groups, namely, (S)-3-butyn-2-yl 2-(9-carbazolyl)ethyl carbonate (1) and (S)-3-butyn-2-yl 4-(diphenylamino)benzoate (2) were synthesized, and polymerized with Rh+(nbd)[η6-C6H5B(C6H5)3] catalyst to give the corresponding polymers with moderate molecular weights (Mn 13.0 × 103 and 15.5 × 103) in good yields (86% and 88%). CD spectroscopic studies revealed that poly(1) and poly(2) took predominantly one-handed helical structure in CHCl3. The helical structures of poly(1) and poly(2) were very stable against heating and addition of MeOH. The solution of poly(1) and poly(2) emitted fluorescence in 0.52% and 7.2% quantum yields, which were lower than those of the corresponding monomers 1 and 2 (22.5% and 76.5%). The cyclic voltammograms of the polymers indicated that the oxidation potentials of the polymers were lower than those of the monomers. The polymers showed electrochromism and changed the color from pale yellow to pale blue by application of voltage, presumably caused by the formation of polaron at the carbazole and triphenylamine moieties. The onset temperatures of weight loss of poly(1) and poly(2) were 225 and 270 °C under air.  相似文献

Novel acetylene monomers containing N-phenyl-substituted carbazole (Cz) and triphenylamine (TPA) groups, namely, 3-ethynyl-9-phenylcarbazole (1) and p-(N,N-diphenylamino)phenylacetylene (2) were synthesized, and polymerized with several Rh-, W-, and Mo-based catalysts. Poly(1) and poly(2) with high number-average molecular weights (15?500-974?000) were obtained in good yields (77-97%), when [(nbd)RhCl]2-Et3N (nbd = norbornadiene) was used as a catalyst. The polymers exhibited UV-vis absorption peaks derived from the Cz and TPA moieties at 250-350 nm and polyacetylene backbone above 350 nm. The UV-vis absorption band edge wavelengths of the polymers were longer than those of the corresponding monomers. Poly(2) exhibited a UV-vis absorption peak at a longer wavelength than poly(1) did, which indicates that poly(2) has main chain conjugation longer than that of poly(1). The molecular weights and photoluminescence quantum yields of the polymers obtained by the polymerization using [(nbd)RhCl]2-Et3N were larger than those of the Rh+(nbd)[η6-C6H5B(C6H5)3]-based counterparts. The cyclic voltammograms of the polymers indicated that they had clear electrochemical properties; the onset oxidation voltage of poly(1) was higher than those of N-alkyl-substituted Cz derivatives. The polymers showed electrochromism and changed the color from pale yellow to blue by application of voltage, presumably caused by the formation of charged polaron at the Cz and TPA moieties. The temperatures for 5% weight loss of the polymers were around 350-420 °C under air, indicating the high thermal stability.  相似文献
