AbstractFibre-optic Bragg grating (FBG) sensors have been recognised as one of the smart localised and globalised structural health monitoring devices for many structural applications. A particular interest has been placed on embedding these sensors into advanced composites for in situ manufacturing process monitoring and then, lifetime structural health monitoring (SHM). There is no doubt that the need of maintaining structural integrity of these composites has been increased owing to an increasing use of carbon and glass fibre composites in real life structural and engineering applications. In the public transportation, the structural components of Airbus 350 XWB and Boeing 787 are made by over 50% of composite materials to replace traditional aluminium alloys. Electric vehicles have used lightweight carbon fibre composites as their chassis to overcome the weight penalty from batteries. With the advantages of high specific stiffness to weight ratio and good damping properties of polymer based composites, these composites are also used to reinforce and strengthen civil concrete structures that are located on the earthquake zones. In some critical engineering components, glass fibre composites with embedded shape memory alloy (SMA) wires are used for stiffness and shape controls during marginally operational conditions. Therefore, developing better SHM technologies is an urgent need to ensure the structural integrity and safety of structures. In this paper, FBG sensors for different SHMs are introduced and discussed. The use of the sensors with appropriate design for smart composites with sensing and actuating capacities is also presented. 相似文献

目的研究不同丝网印刷工艺对RFID标签性能的影响,得到最优丝网印刷工艺条件组合。方法研究印刷速度、刮印压力、刮印角度、固化条件等参数变化对天线性能参数的影响。结果当刮刀速度为50~70 m/min时,天线的阻抗稳定,印刷成品质量好,天线的可识别距离最大;刮印压力的最优值为100 N/m左右,刮刀角度应大于40°,固化温度大于110℃,固化时间应在20~40 min之间。结论标签阻抗随刮刀速度呈现U形变化,而最大识别距离呈现相反趋势;标签阻抗随刮刀压力和刮刀角度均成U形变化趋势;天线阻抗随着固化时间和固化温度的升高而降低,最大识别距离呈现相反趋势。 相似文献

This paper describes a case study of the research and development of an intelligent context-aware decision support system (ICADSS) prototype for real-time monitoring of container terminal operations in Hong Kong. We present the system design and development of the prototype system, and discuss the experiences and lessons learned. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first identifiable application of an intelligent context-aware decision support system for the real-time monitoring of container terminal operations reported in the academic literature. The intelligent context-aware decision support system employs ZigBee-based ubiquitous sensor network (USN) technology. In this study, an ICADSS prototype was built and implemented in a real world setting. The results of the system prototype evaluation are satisfactory and support the contention that it is more effective in supporting the real-time tracking and tracing of container trucks, quay cranes, and rubber-tired gantry cranes in a container terminal. The results also validate the practical viability of the proposed system architecture. Given the contextual details of the study, we present the lessons learned from developing and operating the system in a container terminal and provide suggestions for further research. We hope that the proposed system architecture and developed prototype system can help both practitioners and academics in the further use and research of intelligent context-aware decision support systems. 相似文献

针对目前尺寸检测技术的不足,在嵌入式技术的基础上,设计出了一种可视化、便携、人机交互性良好的零件尺寸检测系统。重点阐述了系统的总体结构和软硬件的实现方法,最后通过实验对系统的可靠性进行验证。采用ARM9处理器、嵌入式WinCE操作系统、通用的串口通信作为数据传输接口,在尺寸检测技术和质量控制理论的基础上实现数据的采集、存储、分析、处理。实验表明,该系统能够提高检测的精度和工作效率,可靠性高且操作便捷。 相似文献
