NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH IN DAIRYING

The National Institute for Research in Dairying held two Open Days on 25th and 26th May 1976. The events, amid the beautiful surroundings of Shinfield, Reading, attracted a large cross-section of the public, from scientists, farmers and dairy engineers to students and parties of schoolchildren.

由中国造纸学会主办、芬兰造纸工程师协会和中国制浆造纸研究院协办的“2014 CIPTE国际造纸技术报告会”定于2014年9月4日在上海世博展览馆召开,会期一天。“CIPTE国际造纸技术报告会”是造纸科技工作者了解国际造纸工业发展成果与发展动向的一个平台,在中国国际造纸科技展览会举办期间召开,目前已成为中国造纸行业中最有影响、最受欢迎的学术盛会之一。

樊纲认为绝不应放弃制造业

10月18日,著名经济学家,央行货币政策委员会委员、国民经济研究所所长樊纲教授在浙江大学演讲时认为绝不应放弃制造业。樊纲在对国内、国际经济形势作出了分析之后,又指出了"后危机时代"的四大经济趋势。     

LOOKING AT AN INDUSTRY

The National Institute for Research in Dairying invites each year an outstanding person in the dairy industry, engaged either in the field of milk production, milk distribution, milk manujacture, dairy economics, dairy research or dairy education, to give a Special Lecture to the whole of the Institute staff. The Special Lecturer is given entire jreedom of choice as regards the title of his address, though it is hoped that it will have some bearing, direct or indirect, on the work of the Institute .
The Special Lecturer for 1957-58 was Mr. J. L. Davies, C.B.E., General Manager of the Milk Marketing Board. His lecture delivered at the Institute on 17th February, 1958, was not only of particular interest to the N.I.R.D. staff, but had wider interest to many others associated with the dairy industry and he has kindly consented to its publication in the Journal of the Society of Dairy Technology. 在2014中国国际造纸科技展览会（CIPTE）（2014年9月3-5日,上海）举办期间,由中国造纸学会、芬兰造纸工程师协会、中国制浆造纸研究院联合主办,上海市造纸学会协办,中国造纸杂志社承办的“2014 CIPTE国际造纸技术报告会”于9月4日在上海世博展览馆成功召开。报告会开幕式由中国制浆造纸研究院院长曹春昱先生主持,中国造纸学会理事长陈学忠先生和芬兰造纸工程师协会CEO Pirkko Molkentin-Matilainen女士分别致开幕辞。来自国内外造纸及相关企业、高等院校、研究院所的近260名代表参加了本次技术报告会。

Modelling the intake of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans: impact of energy under-reporting and number of reporting days in dietary surveys

A probabilistic long-term intake estimation of dioxins was carried out using food consumption data obtained from the National FINDIET 2007 Survey (Paturi et al. 2008 Paturi M, Tapanainen H, Reinivuo H, Pietinen P. editors. 2008. National FINDIET 2007 Survey. Helsinki: National Public Health Institute.  [Google Scholar]). The study population consisted of 606 participants who were first interviewed with a 48-h recall and then filled in a 3-day food record twice. The concentrations of dioxins were obtained from previously published studies. The intake was estimated using a semi-parametric Monte Carlo simulation. The analyses were done separately for the whole study population and for the population excluding energy under-reporters. To diminish the impact of intra-individual variation and nuisance effects, adjustment with software (C-SIDE®) was also done after Monte Carlo simulation. It was found that when C-SIDE® was used, the 95th percentile of intake and its confidence limit was higher with 2 reporting days than with a higher number of days. However, with a crude intake estimation (no adjustment), the confidence intervals of the 95th percentile were also smaller with a higher number of days, but the 95th percentiles were higher with a higher number of reporting days. When under-reporters were excluded the intakes increased, but the impact of energy under-reporting was smaller with 8 reporting days than with 2 days and smaller using C-SIDE® than with a crude estimation. To conclude, adjustment for intra-individual variation and taking energy under-reporting into account are essential for intake estimation of dioxins with food consumption data of a limited number of reporting days.     

活性红195在中性电解质溶液中的聚集行为

为研究染料聚集行为及其对染色上染率的影响,将不同质量浓度的6种中性电解质加入到活性红195染料溶液中,借助紫外-可见分光光度计和激光粒度仪等研究了活性红195染料在不同电解质溶液中的聚集行为,并探讨了电解质对染色上染率的影响。结果表明:随着电解质质量浓度的增大,染料聚集程度增大;常温下,6种金属离子对染料聚集的影响程度依次为Al³⁺ > Ca²⁺ > Mg²⁺ > K⁺ > Na⁺ > Li⁺;电解质中所含金属离子的离子半径越大、化合价越高,越易引发染料聚集,其中金属离子的化合价是影响染料聚集的主要因素;染色时染料聚集程度越大,上染率越高。     

Trends in monitoring residues of pharmacologically active group B substances in products of animal origin in Lithuania from 1999 to 2008

Monitoring data of group B pharmacologically active substances in the Republic of Lithuania during the period 1999–2008 are presented. Peer review is based on data taken from residue-monitoring plans of the years 1999–2008 and the National Food and Veterinary Risk Assessment Institute reports on analyses performed in various foods. The data were analysed with the SPSS statistical package. Analysis of group B pharmacologically active substances residues monitoring results from the years 1999–2008 revealed that 25,030 samples were tested to detect 421 (1.68%) non-compliant samples in three groups of substances: antibacterials, anthelmintics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Most residues (88.3%) were found in milk, and were far less in beef, pork, sheep and goat meat.

Rapid sample preparation procedure for As speciation in food samples by LC-ICP-MS

This paper describes a rapid method for arsenic (As) speciation by LC-ICP-MS in several types of food samples. Prior to analysis, samples were milled and the As species extracted from biological tissues by sonication in only 2?min with a solution containing MeOH (10%, v/v) plus HNO? (2%, v/v). As species were separated by LC using an anion exchange column. Method detection limits for AsB, As3?, DMA, MMA and As?? were 1.3, 0.9, 0.6, 0.7 and 0.8?ng?g?1, respectively. Method accuracy and precision were traceable to Certified Reference Materials SRM1577 bovine liver from the National Institute of Standards and Technology, CE278 mussel tissue from the Institute of Reference Materials and Measurements and DOLT-3 dogfish liver tissue and DORM-3 fish protein from the National Research Council of Canada. Finally, the method was applied to speciate As in food samples (egg, fish muscle, beef and chicken) purchased in Brazilian markets.     

移栽期对海南雪茄外包皮烟叶生长发育及产量品质的影响

为明确海南优质雪茄外包皮烟叶适宜移栽时间,采用田间对比试验,设置4个移栽期处理（12月16日、1月15日、2月14日、3月16日）,研究不同移栽期对烟株生长发育进程及烟叶产量、品质的影响。结果表明,雪茄生育期随移栽期推迟而缩短,主要表现在现蕾之前的营养生长阶段,生育期与平均气温呈极显著负相关关系;雪茄烟株生长速率随移栽期推迟而加快,打顶期株高、茎围、叶片大小随移栽期推迟而显著增大;随移栽期推迟,雪茄有效外包皮烟叶产量呈先增加后降低趋势,叶片厚度、含梗率呈降低趋势,但拉力强度也呈降低趋势。综合评价,初步确定海南雪茄外包皮烟以1月中旬移栽较为适宜。     

重庆丝绸工业“十二五”发展初探

回顾了重庆丝绸工业在十一五期间所取得的成绩,为十二五发展奠定的物质基础,并从政策支撑、劳动力供给、产品发展、人才科技四方面分析了重庆丝绸工业的发展潜力所在,结合各项设备产能指标和当前社会经济的发展水平,预期各项产能水平和价格走势,对重庆丝绸工业十二五的发展目标进行探索,提出了措施建议。     

中温大曲在发酵和贮存过程中微生物群落结构分析

通过聚合酶链式反应-变性梯度凝胶电泳（PCR-DGGE）技术解析中温大曲在不同发酵期和贮存期的微生物群落结构,获得表征中温大曲细菌和真菌群落结构的DGGE指纹图谱。结果表明,中温大曲细菌有19种,其中芽孢杆菌属（Bacillus）和乳酸菌属（Lactobacillus）均属于优势菌群;真菌共13种,其中根霉属（Rhizopus）和酵母属（Saccharomyces）均属于优势菌。大曲微生物总体的变化趋势是发酵开始时微生物数量较少,发酵中期（4～8 d）微生物数量达到顶峰,大量细菌和真菌旺盛繁殖,发酵后期（12 d）微生物群落逐渐减少并趋于稳定;贮存期内,微生物的种类的趋于平稳,数量变化较大。     

我国第一颗人造金刚石的诞生

1963年12月6日我国第一颗人造金刚石的诞生,是第一机械工业部通用机械研究所、磨料磨具磨削研究所和地质部地质科学研究院联合攻关所取得的一项重大科技成果。文章从对人类探索金刚石晶体生成奥秘的历史,到我国人造金刚石研究课题的下达与任务的分工,及其研究成果由试验室走向工业生产的全过程做了阐述。指出我国第一颗人造金刚石的研究成功是集体智慧的结晶,是社会主义大协作的体现,这个铁定的史实不是谁想改变就能改变的。     

BARLEY COMMITTEE REPORT 1976/1977 SEASON

The Barley Committee, the constitution and activities of which have already been described,¹ is one of the Technical Committees of the Institute of Brewing. It has been decided that it would be useful to publish more widely a summary of the annual results of the Committee's investigations. Since this is the first such report the section of varietal constants and malting grades includes recalculated results for all the varieties currently on the list recommended to farmers by the National Institute for Agricultural Botany (NIAB). In future years recalculations will be done only for those varieties on or just promoted from the Provisional Category.
