We have developed a distributed software package which allows neurophysiologists to have at hand a set of network and graphic tools in order to perform the analysis of data collected from the electrical activity of neurons, studied in the experimental laboratory. This system is built around three major components. First, the experimental data are processed in order to select specific data files from the networked computer and display the spike trains as raster dots. The second part selects one type of analysis (e.g., cross-correlation, out of a set of possible choices) after configuration of some specific parameters. Finally, the third component deals with the results of data analyses, which are selected and displayed on a multi-parameter graphic “ring binder.” We have used the Java programming language to implement this application. This recent object-oriented language offers platform-independent software tools including graphic package and standard network protocols.  相似文献

针对中小型企业数据处理的特点,提出了一种基于局域网的分布式内存管理系统,介绍了系统的数据组织方式、设计原理和各功能实体的具体实现。系统利用局域网内存资源存储数据,解决了磁盘输入/输出的性能瓶颈问题。把数据分成包,通过包管理实体对内存资源进行管理,利用同步协议机制保持主包和备包的同步。测试结果表明,利用系统对数据进行处理的效率是本机硬盘的5到7倍。  相似文献

This paper describes the design of a user friendly interactive software package which can easily be used in both educational and industrial environments. The package contains applications for Quality Control Charts, Project Management, and Linear Programming. It is written in the BASIC programming language using the IBM Disk Operating System (DOS version 3.1). An IBM Personal Computer (PC, XT or AT) or compatible with one disk drive, a monochrome VDT and a line or dot matrix printer are required. The programs incorporate human factors considerations and the user is not required to have any previous computer programming experience. The package has data management options for adding new data, deleting data, listing data, storing data on a disk file and printing data collection forms for each program. The programs have been extensively validated using text book examples and comparisons with similar packages on main frame computer systems (such as EZLP, PPERT, LPRG, etc.). Based upon testing, this package was found to be easier to use and produced the desired results in approximately one third of the total time required by using the main-frame packages.  相似文献

Programs for rule based electromyography (EMG) interpretation and reporting are described. A number of parameters are obtained during an EMG investigation. The combination of these data leads to a neurophysiological conclusion. Knowledge from the literature, research and experience is the basis for rule development. Rules have been developed for 14 of the most commonly used classifications of an EMG. The syntax is relatively easy and the user may change the rules, add rules or apply the system for other types of data. The results are displayed in a new graphical way. The system presented here is part of an integrated EMG laboratory with administrative routines, distributed databases for storage of results and routines for automatic report generation.  相似文献

对信息系统运行记录、操作日志、告警信息的采集问题进行了研究,提出了一种面向泛政府行业安全运行管理平台的统一日志采集系统。采用基于消息队列的流式处理架构,实现日志采集、日志处理、日志上报等各个环节的解耦;采用标准化接口和插件技术,实现各种异构日志信息的采集和数据上报;采用消息队列的流量削峰技术,保证日志传输的安全可靠;依据日志流量特征,提出一种支持动态调整消费组的设计模式,满足系统的高性能要求。整个系统由日志采集、数据上报、数据管理、系统管理、策略管理、Agent管理、日志源管理模块和日志采集代理(Agent)子系统组成,可满足对各类安全数据的集中分析、安全威胁感知和智能研判。  相似文献

Spectrum sensing is a vital phase in Cognitive Radio (CR) to identify the unutilized spectrum for dynamic spectrum access (DSA). Cooperative/multinode sensing is being used for signal detection to achieve spatial diversity gains. In cooperative sensing, the sensing channels are assumed to be noisy. However, the reporting/control channels (channels between CR and fusion center) are also contaminate with the noise, which degrades the cooperative detection accuracy. In this paper, (i) effect of reporting channels are studied and used forward error correction technique (convolutional encoder) to mitigate the effect of reporting channel noise, (ii) differential evolution algorithm is used to evaluate the optimum weights for cooperative users to maximize the sensing performance. Three different detection methods are considered for performance analysis. The simulations are carried out with different signal-to-noise ratio in control channel with and without error correction. The results reveal that, detection probability and accuracy of the system can be improved with convolutional coding together with differential evolution algorithm.  相似文献

The package of FORTRAN programs described provides the field geologist with a system for processing and analyzing orientation data. The facilities offered include the plotting of stereograms, maps and rose diagrams together with rotations and statistical analysis of orientations. Orientation data may be supplied to the package in a variety of frequently used styles. Package facilities are specified by option statements, which the package interprets, that may be supplied in any sequence thus allowing maximum manipulative flexibility. The package has been successfully used to process and analyse structural data from a metamorphic terrain within the Norwegian Caledonides, but may be applied readily to other types of orientation data. The emphasis in writing this package was placed upon the production of usable graphical output, thus replacing tedious manual plotting and drafting tasks. These programs are not designed to undertake sophisticated interpretative operations on orientation data, these tasks remain with the user who will have hopefully more time in which to accomplish them.  相似文献

Ultralightweight Thread (uThread) is a library package designed and optimized for user-level management of parallelism in a single application program running on distributed-memory computers. Existing process management systems incur an unnecessarily high cost when used for the type of parallelism exploited within an application. By reducing the overhead of ownership protection and frequent context switches, uThread encourages both simplicity and performance. In addition, uThread provides various scheduling support to balance the system load. The uThread package reduces the cost of parallelism management to nearly the lower bound. This package has been successfully running on most distributed-memory computers, such as the Intel iPSC/860, Touchstone Delta. A pediatric cardiology database was designed and implemented on a microcomputer using the MEDUS/A (Harvard School of Public Health) database management system. This database has potential utility in the areas of clinical research, patient management, and administration. Initial uses of the system include a study of ventricular septal defects, and automation of pacemaker clinic and cardiac catheterization laboratory records. Clinicians with little or no programming experience can alter the database structure and tailor complicated applications to their particular needs. Active database management systems (ADBMS) are used in different application domains and especially for cooperative and long duration activity management. This paper deals with performance analysis of long-lived cooperative transaction processing in an ADBMS. We first briefly discuss NP-QuadLock – a concurrency control scheme for cooperative and long durational transactions in ADBMS. A restricted version of NP-QuadLock named 2L-QuadLock has been used for simulation. We have modeled such an ADBMS supporting 2L-QuadLock scheme by a queuing model. The failure of the transactions running in such systems has been modeled by a failure recovery model. We have simulated this model for a transaction processing system serving long-lived and cooperative transactions. We also discuss some important emerging application scenarios, where the proposed cooperative complex transaction mechanism can be used (e.g. 3G-service environment, ubiquitous computing environment, feature composition in intelligent network environment, multi-site and multi-domain web-services).

An important objective of our work is to analyze quantitatively (a) the performance penalty on the system due to the partial abort, the number of locks held by a transaction, the number of states of the transactions, and (b) the gain in the performance of the system with the cooperation semantics proposed in 2L-QuadLock concurrency control mechanism. We have analyzed the effect of various parameters such as partial abort rate, cooperation rate, number of locks held by a transaction, multiprogramming level, on the performance metrics such as average service time, average saga length and the degree of compensation. Later, we characterize the application scenarios based on some important simulation parameters, and discuss the application performance needs for each of the application scenarios. The required performance parameters that need to be used for these application scenarios and the corresponding performance results using 2L-QuadLock are also discussed.  相似文献

In this paper we demonstrate how discrete event simulation technique can be used to optimise the use of catheterization capacity. The patient flow at the catheterization room is described. A simulation model of the current situation was built in MedModel, a discrete event simulation package, and the model was validated. A short presentation of MedModel is given. To investigate alternative ways to optimise the use of the catheterization room three experiments were formulated, modelled and simulated. Two different scheduling strategies were applied to the current situation and the three experimental situations. The number of patients that can be treated and the duration of a working day were determined as measures of performance. The results of the simulation experiments are discussed. The results of these experiments give the management of the catheterization room valuable information how to optimise the use of the catheterization room.  相似文献

The Institute of Metabolic Disease performs Supplemental Newborn screening for genetic biochemical abnormalities. A challenge facing many specialized high throughput-screening laboratories is fast, efficient data management, instrument integration, reporting, and invoicing. The Supplemental Screening laboratory operates three tandem mass spectrometry analyzers and screens samples for compounds that are not examined by typical newborn screening laboratories. The Institute of Metabolic Disease implemented NeoMate™ LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) to streamline sample demographic entry, data entry (manual, for more specialized tests and automated entry from instruments), automatic result reporting, follow-up and invoicing. The Institute consists of six departments which include; Supplemental Screening, Tissue Culture, Molecular Diagnostics, Neuropharmacology, Neurochemistry and Mass Spectrometry. These departments have unique requirements that differed from the high-throughput supplemental screening department. This required a system that offered the flexibility to provide custom interpretations, maintaining patient histories, sample storage, and graphing of patient results. This paper will focus on the process of implementing automation from project initiation, flow charting through software installation, instrument integration, system integration and going live.  相似文献

A genome mapping system has been developed that reads and assembles data from clones analysed by restriction enzyme fragmentation and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Input data for the system can be most effectively obtained by the use of a scanning densitometer and image-processing package, such as that described in this article. The image-processing procedure involves preliminary location of bands, cooperative tracking of lanes by correlation of adjacent bands, a precise densitometric pass, alignment of the marker bands with the standard, optional interactive editing, and normalization of the accepted bands.  相似文献
