Batch adsorption experiments were conducted for the adsorption of Eu(Ⅲ) ions from aqueous solution by D113 resin. The results indicated that D113 resin could adsorb Eu(Ⅲ) ion effectively from aqueous solution. The adsorption was strongly dependent on pH of the medium with enhanced adsorption as the pH turned from 3.50 to 7.00 and the optimal adsorption condition was in HAc-NaAc medium with pH value of 6.50. The maximum uptake capacity of Eu(Ⅲ) ions was 290.9 mg/g D113 at 298 K, at an initial pH value of 6.50. The overall adsorption process was best described by Lagergren-first-order kinetics. When Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms were tested, the latter had a better fit with the experimental data. The thermodynamic parameters such as free energy (G) which were all negative, indicated that the adsorption of Eu(Ⅲ) ions onto D113 resin was spontaneous and the positive value of enthalpy (H) showed that the adsorption was endothermic in nature. Thomas model was applied to experimental column data to determine the characteristic parameters of column useful for process design. Furthermore, Eu(Ⅲ) could be eluted by using 3.0 mol/L HCl solution and the D113 resin could be regenerated and reused.  相似文献

The pH dependent sorption of rare earth ions (La(Ⅲ), Ce(Ⅲ), Pr(Ⅲ), Nd(Ⅲ), Y(Ⅲ), Sm(Ⅲ), Eu(Ⅲ), Gd(Ⅲ), Tb(Ⅲ), Dy(Ⅲ), Ho(Ⅲ), Er(Ⅲ), Lu(Ⅲ), and Yb(Ⅲ)) from HAC-NaAC buffer solution at 298 K by D152 resin containing -COOH function groups were presented. The sorption behaviors of D152 resin for Sm(Ⅲ) were discussed as an example. The effects of operational conditions such as pH, temperature, and contact time were studied. The statically saturated sorption capacity was 510 mg/g resin at pH 6.70 in HAc-NaAc medium at 298 K. The sorption behaviors obeyed the Freundlich isotherm. The capacity value for column study was obtained by graphical integration as 495 mg/g resin. Thomas model was applied to experimental data to predict the breakthrough curve and to determine the characteristic parameters of the column useful for process design.  相似文献

The removal of arsenic from water and wastewater is obligatory.Resin is one of the most effective adsorbents for the removal of arsenic.In order to improve the adsorption capacity of resin,a new cerium-loaded cation exchange resin arsenic adsorbent was prepared by impregnating cerium into the cation exchange resin.Batch adsorption experiments under various conditions,such as time,temperature,pH and with coexisting ions were carried out to evaluate the adsorption characteristics of cerium-loaded resin in the removal of As(Ⅴ)and As(Ⅲ) from aqueous solutions.The results showed that the adsorption kinetics of As(Ⅴ)and As(Ⅲ)obeyed a pseudo second-order kinetic model and the adsorption rate constants were 0.3159 and 0.5215 g·mg-1 ·min-1 ,respectively.The adsorption of As(Ⅴ)followed the Freundlich adsorption isotherm model and the adsorption isotherm data for As(Ⅲ)fitted well to the Langmuir equation model.The adsorption capacities were 1.0278 mg/g for As(Ⅴ)and 2.5297 mg/g for As(Ⅲ).Both the adsorption of As(Ⅴ)and As(Ⅲ)were found to be pH sensitive and the optimum pH was found to be 5-6.Except for the phosphate ion,the coexisting anionics,such as nitrate,chlorate,sulphate and carbonate,showed no remarkable effect on As(Ⅴ)and As(Ⅲ)adsorption.The desorption and regeneration study showed that the adsorption capacity of Ce-loaded resin for As(Ⅴ)and As(Ⅲ)could be restored to 97.80%and 69.61%,respectively,using 0.5 mol/L sodium hydroxide solution.  相似文献

The sorption behavior and mechanism of a Macroporous weak acid resin, (D155 resin,) for Gd(Ⅲ) were investigated. The statically saturated sorption capacity is 283 mg/g resin at 298 K in HAc-NaAc medium. The Gd(Ⅲ) adsorbed on macroporous weak acid resin, (D155 resin,) could be reductively eluted with the mixed solution of HCl and NaCl, and the elution percentage was as high as 100%. The resin could be regenerated and reused without remarkable decrease in sorption capacity. The apparent sorption rate constant was k298=1.98×10^5 s^-1. The apparent activation energy was Ea=2.78 kJ/mol. The sorption behavior of D155 resin for Gd(Ⅲ) obeyed the Langmuir isotherm. The thermodynamic sorption parameters were △H=33.0 kJ/mol,△S=192 J/mol/K, and △G298=-24.3 kJ/mol. The sorption mechanism of D155 resin for Gd(Ⅲ) was examined by using chemical method and IR spectrometry. The coordination compound was formed between oxygen atoms in the functional group of D155 resin and Gd (Ⅲ).  相似文献

Extraction of chromium(III) from a model solution and from a tannery waste solution was studied by ion exchange using Indion 790 resin which is a macro-porous strongly acidic cation exchange resin of sulfonated polystyrene group. The resin was found to be selective for the sorption of chromium(III) in the pH range 0.5–3.5 from a model solution containing 500 ppm Cr(III). Beyond pH 3.5 extraction of chromium(III) drastically decreased from 92% to 76%. Sorption of chromium(III) on Indion 790 followed the Freundlich isotherm with a high Freundlich constant value (Kf = 8.57) confirming strong chemical interaction of the metal ion with the resin. Desorption of chromium(III) from the loaded resin increased with the increase in concentration of eluant (5–20% H2SO4). With 20% sulfuric acid solution 89% Cr(III) was eluted in two stages. The bench scale results were also validated in continuous mode in a fixed bed column and for the recovery of chromium(III) from a tannery solution.  相似文献

Novel soft materials,Eu(III)-containing complex dissolved in [C8mim][X](X=Cl-,PF6-and Tf2N-) ionic liquids,were synthesized.FT-IR and elementary analysis of complex proved that the molecular formula is [C8mim][Eu(TTA)4].The complex and ionic liquids had highthermal stability according to TGA.The photoluminescence spectra showed that the [C8mim][Eu(TTA)4] exhibited typical red emission deriving from 5D0-7F2 transition.After dissolving the complex in [C8mim][X](X=Cl-,PF6-and Tf2N-) ionic liquids,the luminescence intensitydecreased in the following order:[C8mim][Tf2N]≈[C8mim][PF6 ]>[C8mim][Cl].This was because Tf2N-and PF6-anions had larger molecularvolume and weaker coordination ability than Cl-.  相似文献

The 1,3,5-triazine diphosphine oxide ligands with donor-acceptor properties formed strong complexes with europium(III) ion in acetonitrile. Spectrophotometric titrations and mass spectra indicated that two ligands coordinated to one europium ion. The stability constants varied from 11.64 to 14.60 (log β). Binary complexes exhibited rather weak luminescence in solution. 1,3,5-triazine diphosphine oxides engaged as co-ligands in Eu(III) (2-thenoyltrifluoroacetonate)3 complex contributed to the overall photoluminescence and allowed for excitation with longer wavelengths than the parent complex.  相似文献

Pr( Ⅲ ) and Nd( Ⅲ ) can be utilized as absorption spectroscopic probes to investigate the interaction of biomolecules like Lysozyme (HEW) with Ca( Ⅱ ) in-vitro ; the most abundant metal ion in the human body system. The spectroscopic techniques involving comparative absorption, absorption difference, and quantitative intensity analysis using 4f-4f transitions are utilized for changes in the inner sphere coordination pattern of Pr( Ⅲ ) and Nd(Ⅲ ) in solution as well as in solid state. The present study deals with an important biomolecule in human metabolism, that is, Lysozyme (HEW). The absorption er-Condon the probab spectral parameters such as the oscillator strength (P), the Judd-Ofelt (Tλ) intensity parameters, and the Slatinter electronic parameters are calculated using chi square methods. The obtained results are used to determine le geometry of the complex in the solution, the nature of the bond between Pr(Ⅲ)/Nd(Ⅲ) with lysozyme, and the inner sphere coordination environment of f-f transitions. The results obtained from various experimental conditions are utilized to investigate the coordination changes in the Pr(Ⅲ)/Nd(Ⅲ) complexes caused by different coordinating sites of lysozyme, normalized bite, denticity, the solvent nature, the coordination number, the nature of bond and other parameters to mimic the interaction of the Ca( Ⅱ ) ion with such biomolecule.  相似文献

Lanthanum is one of the rare earth metals which due to specific chemio-physical properties, has wide applications in different industries. In this research, the ability of the synthesized metal-organic framework (MOF), [Zn(bim)2(bdc)]n (ZBB) for the removal of lanthanum ions from the aqueous stream was investigated in the batch and column processes. The synthesized MOF was characterized by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The effect of pH on lanthanum ions adsorption was evaluated in the range from 1 to 7. Moreover, isothermal, kinetic, and thermodynamic parameters for adsorption of La(III) ions onto the synthesized MOF were evaluated. The adsorption capacity of lanthanum ions onto the synthesized MOF was calculated to be about 130 mg/g. Thermodynamic studies demonstrate the endothermic and chemical nature of lanthanum adsorption, while kinetic studies suggest the pseudo-first-order of reaction. In column mode, the effect of solution flow rate passing through the fixed-bed was studied. Experimental data confirm that increasing the bed flow rate causes a decrease in the adsorption capacity of lanthanum ions on the synthesized MOF.  相似文献

Eu( Ⅲ ) can be utilized as an indirect electrochemical probe to investigate the interaction of bio-molecules such as DOPA and Dopamine with Ca( Ⅱ ) in vitro. The interaction of DOPA and Dopamine with Eu( Ⅲ )-Eu( Ⅱ ) redox pair was investigated by electrochemical techniques. Both the neurotransmitters are structurally related and undergo interaction with Eu (Ⅲ ). Eu ( Ⅲ ) coordinates with DOPA and Dopamine through five-member chelate tings via carboxylic oxygen and amino nitrogen. The electrode kinetic parameters viz, transfer coefficient (αna), diffusion coefficient (D), forward heterogeneous rate constant ( k^0 fh) were evaluated for Eu( Ⅲ )-DOPA/Eu( Ⅲ )-Dopamine. The results obtained were used to investigate the nature of interaction of Eu (Ⅲ) with muhi-donor biomolecules. The possible mechanism was also proposed.  相似文献

The new lanthanum (Ⅲ) and praseodymium (Ⅲ) complexes of the general formula [Ln(L)3] (Ln=La(Ⅲ) or Pr(Ⅲ); LK=potassium salt of dithiocarbazinates) were prepared by both, conventional thermal and by the use of microwave technology. Elemental analyses, elec-trical conductance, magnetic moment and electronic, infrared, far-infrared, 1H and 13C NMR spectral studies were used to characterize the complexes. The molecular weights of few complexes were determined by FAB-mass spectra. Nephelauxetic ratio, covalency parameter and bonding parameter for these complexes were also calculated. The probable structures of the complexes were proposed. The antifungal and antibacterial activities of the complexes were evaluated. The present research is aimed at the development of D151 resin as an adsorbent that it can be used in the adsorption of Ce(Ⅲ) ions.The adsorption and desorption behaviors of Ce(Ⅲ) on D151 resin have been investigated by chemistry analysis.The influence of operational conditions such as contact time,initial concentration of Ce(Ⅲ),initial pH of solution and temperature on the adsorption of Ce(Ⅲ) had also been examined.The results show that the optimal adsorption condition of D151 for Ce(Ⅲ) was achieved at pH=6.50 in HAc-NaAc medium.The maximum uptake capacity of Ce(Ⅲ) was 392 mg/g resin at 298 K.The adsorption of Ce(Ⅲ) followed both the Langmuir isotherm and Freundlich isotherm,and the correlation coefficients had been evaluated.Even kinetics on the adsorption of Ce(Ⅲ) had been studied.The adsorption rate constant k298 K valued was 1.3×10-5 s-1.The calculation data of thermodynamic parameters which ΔS0 value of 91.34 and ΔH0 value of 7.07 kJ/mol indicate the endothermic nature of the adsorption process.While,a decrease of Gibb’s free energy(ΔG0) with increasing temperature indicated the spontaneous nature of the adsorption process.Finally,Ce(Ⅲ) could be eluted by using 0.5 mol/L HCl solution and the elution percentage was as high as 100%.Adsorption mechanism was also proposed for the adsorption of Ce(Ⅲ) ions onto D151 resin using infrared spectroscopy technique.  相似文献

The Eu(III) nitrate complex of the meso- N,N′-bis(2-pyridylmethylene)-1,2-(R,S)-cyclohexanediamine ligand was synthesized and characterized by single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction. The crystal lattice of the complex is capable of absorbing and desorbing selectively acetonitrile molecules, at 293 K upon an acetonitrile vapor pressure of ∼0.1 × 105 Pa. This process, which is partially reversible, can be easily followed by both powder X-ray diffraction (P-XRD) and Eu(III) luminescence spectroscopy. The acetonitrile molecule, located in the outer coordination sphere of the metal ion, does not affect the radiative transition probability of 5D0 level of Eu(III) and also it does not activate further non-radiative channels from this level. On the other hand, this molecule is capable of affecting the energy position and intensities of the crystal field components of the 5D07F2 transition. The complex in solid form can be considered a promising material for the optical sensing of acetonitrile vapors.  相似文献

The sorption study of La(Ⅲ) was carried out on poly[dibenzo-18-crown-6] and L-valine medium. The quantitative adsorption of La(Ⅲ) was found at 1x10-2 to 1x10-5 mol/L L-valine. The various eluting agents were found efficient eluents for La(Ⅲ). The capacity of crown polymer for La(Ⅲ) was found to be 0.43 ±0.01 mmol/g. The tolerance limit of various cations and anions for La(Ⅲ) was determined.La(Ⅲ) was quantitatively separated from other metal ions in binary as well as multicomponont mixtures. The study was extended to sequen-tial separation of La(Ⅲ), U(Ⅵ) and Th(Ⅳ). The good separation yields were obtained and had good reproducibility (±2%). The method in-corporated the determination of La(Ⅲ) in real sample. The method was simple, rapid and selective.  相似文献

New adsorbent material was obtained by modification of commercial Amberlite XAD7 with thiourea that represents a non-toxic, cheap and environmentally friendly extractant. Prepared adsorbent was used for removal of neodymium ions from aqueous solutions. Thiourea modified Amberlite involved in this study shows good adsorption capacities (74.3 mg/g) and excellent efficiency during Nd removal process. In order to elucidate the mechanism of the Nd adsorption process kinetic, thermodynamic and equilibrium studies were performed, establishing this way which kinetic model better describes the Nd adsorption process. Moreover the thermodynamic studies prove that the Nd adsorption on thiourea modified Amberlite XAD7 is an endothermic and spontaneous process.  相似文献
