In this study, a new type of solar dryer was designed and manufactured. This new solar dryer is composed of a heat pipe collector, a drying chamber, a load cell, an air circulation fan, photovoltaic cells (PvC), batteries, and halogen lamps. In this experimental study, tomatoes were used to test the drying process. The drying air was heated by the heat pipe collector and forced through the tomatoes by a blower fan during the daytime. The photovoltaic cells, which were used to run the fan, were also used to charge the batteries during the day. These charged batteries were used for running the halogen lamps during the night, when the halogen lamps were used to heat the drying-air-assisted photovoltaic cells. During the drying period, the drying air temperature, relative humidity, air flow rates, solar radiation, and loss of mass were measured in the solar dryer. Then, the measured data were used for energy analysis.  相似文献

采用基于移动加热板的颗粒热传递模型计算大型旋转列管干燥机的传热系数。在料床完全混合的简化假设下 ,按物料在干燥机内的实际干燥过程分段计算各段的传热系数及整机总传热系数 ,其结果与干燥机的实际运行情况基本相符。  相似文献

Experimental and numerical investigations showed that the air flow velocity distribution between the shelves with identical inlet cross sections is nonuniform; in the gaps between the shelves located in the bottom part of the dryer the velocity is rather high and in the gaps between the shelves located in the middle and at the top of the dryer the velocity is low. A nonuniform air flow distribution causes unequal drying of the product; therefore, the position of shelves with the products must be periodically changed; that is, operation of the dryer is not optimal. It was revealed during numerical investigations that the use of variable inlet cross sections between the shelves gives more uniform air flow distribution. Numerically obtained air flow velocity distribution results between the shelves with the use of variable inlet cross sections were also justified experimentally.  相似文献

锅炉结垢不但使传热系数降低,还容易导致发生爆管事故,同时也会产生过量排污、浪费燃料和浪费水资源等一系列问题.加强水处理可以优化水质有利于锅炉的防垢、除垢及保障安全,不但能提高锅炉热效率,还可以降低锅炉排污率,节约水资源,改善工作环境.此外,采用优化燃料、冷凝水再生技术也有助于提高锅炉热效率.运用以上方法可达到节能降耗的最终目的.  相似文献

小型工业锅炉因其炉型、使用工况各有不同,运行管理水平参差不齐,能源综合利用又要求各种热力参数互相耦合,单独采用某项通用节能措施往往达不到能源高效综合利用的目的,因此小型工业锅炉的节能改造方案应根据其具体情况来量身定做。文章用框图法对小型工业锅炉系统普遍存在的问题进行归类,指出节能改造的方向和实施流程,并以某印染厂一台循环流化床锅炉为例,分析改造前锅炉存在的问题及原因,提出了节能综合改造方案。通过对改造前后锅炉各项参数的分析对比,该锅炉改造后的锅炉效率比改造前提高了15%,每年节省用煤成本约245万元,经济效益明显。  相似文献

The residence time distribution (RTD) of heterogeneous citrus waste particles was determined in a semi-pilot-scale rotary dryer with concurrent flow under several operational conditions. The experimental methodology was based on the stimulus-response technique, which consisted of injecting pulse-like tracers in the dryer feed stream. Measurements of RTD were performed to build up experimental curves that were numerically integrated to provide the mean residence time. A perfectly-stirred-tank in series model and a neural network model were derived. In addition, empirical and semi-empirical correlations from the literature were used to estimate residence time and the influence of operating conditions on this variable was investigated.  相似文献

Abstract

The mass transfer process inside the drum of a clothes dryer affects its performance. The area-mass transfer coefficient was defined and correlated to the weight of the clothes, drum speed, the Reynolds number, Schmidt number, and Gukhman number using the experimental results of 32 runs on a Frigidaire clothes dryer. The coefficient of correlation was 0.994. A separate correlation for the Sherwood number was evaluated for a single piece of cloth stretched perpendicular to the flow in a pipe. This second correlation was used to compare the mass transfer inside the actual dryer with that of the “idealized” mass transfer process for a single piece of cloth. The results indicated that the average mass transfer efficiency for clothes in the dryer was only 26.4% of the ideal process. Means to enhance the area-mass transfer coefficient and the reasons for the poor performance of an actual dryer are discussed.  相似文献
