A knowledge-based system (KBS) was designed for automated system identification, process monitoring, and diagnosis of sensor faults. The real-time KBS consists of a supervisory system using G2 KBS development software linked with external statistical modules for system identification and sensor fault diagnosis. The various statistical techniques were prototyped in MATLAB, converted to ANSI C code, and linked with the G2 Standard Interface. The KBS automatically performs all operations of data collection, identification, monitoring, and sensor fault diagnosis with little or no input from the user. Navigation throughout the KBS is via menu buttons on each user-accessible screen. Selected process variables are displayed on charts showing the history of the variables over a period of time. Multivariate statistical tests and contribution plots are also shown graphically. The KBS was evaluated using simulation studies with a polymerization reactor through a nonlinear dynamic model. Both normal operation conditions as well as conditions of process disturbances were observed to evaluate the KBS performance. Specific user-defined disturbances were added to the simulation, and the KBS correctly diagnosed both process and sensor faults when present. 相似文献

采用多向主元分析的间歇过程故障监测方法需假设过程数据严格服从高斯分布,而且要对监测批次的测量未知值进行预测,这在一定程度上限制了其应用范围.为此通过建立迭代的多模型序列,不仅有效地解决了测量未知值的预测问题,而且考虑了各个间歇过程时间片之间的关联信息.同时,利用独立成分分析方法提取出过程的非高斯信息,通过引入支持向量数据描述方法对独立成分进行进一步建模,实现非高斯特性下的间歇过程故障在线监测.通过一个实际的半导体制造过程的实验研究,表明提出的新方法可以更有效地处理间歇过程数据信息. 相似文献

Electrical capacitive tomography (ECT) has been used to monitor sections of aircraft wiring, as a tool for prognostic analysis. To apply the principles of ECT across a cross section of only 4 mm, modification of the basic circuit was required. Additionally, a more novel method of placing the necessary electrodes was needed, this being accomplished by etching them from flexible copper sheeting and wrapping them inside the perimeter of an enclosure. Results showed that at this small scale, it was possible to determine the position of a wire-under-test inside the 4 mm diameter enclosure to about 0.1 mm, and that by measuring capacitance between pairs, it was also possible to determine whether or not the insulation of wire passed between the electrodes was damaged. With more than one wire-under-test present, it was possible to determine whether or not damage was present, and if so, which wire was damaged. By detecting insulation damage in this way, ECT has proven to be a useful tool in prognostic monitoring, helping faults to be found before they become safety-critical onboard an aircraft. 相似文献

Various condition monitoring techniques are used collectively to monitor the health of aircraft engines and transmission, a concept known as Integrated Health Monitoring (IHM). A well-established quantitative technique is Aircraft Oil Analysis (AOA), in which spectroscopic techniques such as Rotating Disk Electrode Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (RDE-AES) are employed to analyse periodic oil samples for wear debris. Usually, no sample preparation is undertaken, as the oil sample containing both dissolved and suspended metallic wear debris is analysed directly. AOA works well for oil-lubricated systems with relatively coarse filtration that allow circulation of the debris and its subsequent abrasive contact with moving components. To avoid this secondary wear, finer filtration is employed on both new and older aircraft. Less wear debris, and thus information, is available in the oil. A technique that quantitatively analyses the wear debris caught on the filter has been developed and is termed Quantitative Filter Debris Analysis (QFDA). Actual oil filters from CF88 Challenger ALF 502L-2C and Hornet F404 engines were obtained in sequence, when possible, prepared by the developed procedure, and analysed with AOA instrumentation. With sufficient results, both normal and abnormal levels of wear rates emerged, as has been recorded and used for AOA. In this research, the cutting process online monitoring and optimization in jet engine impeller machining, cranio-maxillofacial surgery, and hydraulic servo valve deburring are introduced as examples of intelligent machining.
