Fabric hand is a comprehensive sensation when fingers touched the fabrics, and it is an important index in evaluating the comfort of clothes. In this study, electroencephalogram (EEG) method was used to record the brain potentials when people touched and evaluated the fabrics for softness sensation, compared with subjective assessment and physical indicators tested by KES, the results show that Alpha wave’s power and the activity area of Alpha rhythm had significant positive correlation with subjective evaluation and physical indicators of fabric softness sensation. 相似文献

In order to improve the dyeing depth and softness, hemp fabrics were treated with chitosan (molecular weight less than 10,000, degree of deacetylation 90%) and epoxy modified silicone oil in different volume ratios, and then dyed with Remazol Brillant Blue R vinyl sulphone. The changes in fine structure were characterized by means of SEM, FT‐IR, TG, DSC, and XRD. In addition, the effects of chitosan/silicone oil on the properties of tensile, bending, whiteness, dyeing, and color fastness were also investigated. It was found that compared with the untreated hemp fiber, the thermal stability of modified hemp fiber was improved and the percent residual weight increased in the range of temperature 25°–550°. The size of crystal grain decreased and the degree of crystallization increased. For the chitosan/silicone oil treated fabric, the handle was improved but the tensile properties degraded. As the content of chitosan increased, the color yield increased. Color fastnesses with regard to to rubbing, wet scrubbing, and washing durability were also improved when the volume ratio of chitosan to silicone oil was 5:1. 相似文献

Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) has been widely used to investigate material properties such as thermal transitions and complex modulus of polymers. Until now, only a few articles have been published to discuss applications of DMA in studying human hair and evaluating hair care products due to difficulties in handling hair samples. In DMA, a complex modulus (E*), an elastic (storage) modulus (E') and an imaginary (loss) modulus (E') are determined which give a better characterization of viscoelastic properties of hair than regular tensile strength. A new DMA test methodology including a hair bundle preparation and sample clamping technique was developed and applied to study human hair samples. Effects of hair type (Caucasian vs. Asian), bleaching time, environmental relative humidity (RH), and cosmetic treatments on hair viscoelasticity and storage bending modulus/stiffness were investigated. Average complex modulus and Young's modulus of single hair fibers and storage bending modulus of hair bundles before and after cosmetic treatments at various relative humidity levels were determined. Subjective evaluations of hair soft feel by salon panelists were conducted and the results compared with those of objective measurements (changes in hair storage bending modulus).
