A method of preventing the degradation in the isolation between the orthogonal polarization ports caused by beamforming network routing in combined edge/aperture fed dual-polarized microstrip-patch planar array antennas is described. The simulated and measured performance of such planar arrays is demonstrated. Measured port isolations of 50 dB at center frequency, and more than 40 dB over a 4% bandwidth, are achieved. In addition, insight into the physical reasons for the improved port-to-port isolation levels, of the proposed element geometry and beamforming network layout, is obtained through prudent use of the electromagnetic modelling.   相似文献

A class of planar, electrically-small UHF antennas suitable for direct integration with electronic components such as batteries is introduced. The new design approach combines a meander line section and a capacitive strip section. The geometries of the two sections can together be scaled in size over a wide range of planar form factors while still maintaining self-resonance and practically realizable line widths and spacings. No external matching network is required. Moreover, batteries can be mounted above or below the capacitive strip section, significantly reducing the total size of a wireless device. Three designs are demonstrated on printed circuit board at 433 MHz. Measurements show that the antennas provide good gain and excellent bandwidth, omnidirectional radiation patterns, and electrically small size. The effect of multilayer geometry on microstrip antennas is investigated for the design of antenna-integrated mechanical structure. Changes in the gain of antenna due to the geometry have been determined using a transmission line analogy. Design of high-gain antenna in bandwidth is proposed away from structural resonance. Experiments are done on microstrip antennas covered by superstrates in order to verify high-gain conditions theoretically derived herein. The off-resonant conditions that use practical materials of moderate thickness make it possible to design the antenna-integrated mechanical structure with the perfect integration of high mechanical and electrical performances  相似文献

Experimental Investigation of a Self-Biased Microstrip Circulator   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
An experimental investigation of an above-ferromagnetic resonant self-biased hexagonal ferrite circulator is detailed in this paper. The concept of the “region of opportunity” is invoked to establish a relationship between the ferrite's geometry and its $MH$ large-signal data for self-biased operation. This concept is used to design a working three-port nonreciprocal device that will serve as a basis for experimentally ascertaining best case insertion losses (ILs), return losses (RLs), and/or isolations (ISs) for circulator applications. Furthermore, we show that this nonreciprocal device when externally tuned as a circulator exhibits RLs and ISs of better than 15 dB across a narrow band; the ILs are on the order of 1.5 dB within this same band. This IL is correlated to the best case IL. Results confirm the conclusion that a ferrite with $H_{c}=4.0 {hbox{kOe}}$, $4pi M_{s}=4.375 {hbox{kG}}$ , and $Delta H=1.862 {hbox{kOe}}$ is suitable for self-biased circulator applications.   相似文献

A planar junction circulator consists, in general, of a three-fold symmetric resonator of arbitrary shape to which three transmission lines are connected. So far, the circulators having disk, triangle, and hexagonal resonators, have been studied in detail, In the analysis of the circuit parameters of circulators, two general methods which were presented in 1977 are used widely. One is based upon a contour-integral solution of the wave equation. In the other approach, the circuit parameters of the junction are expanded in terms of the eigenmodes of the magnetized planar resonator. Since both methods have been applied successfully to various circulators, there is no doubt as to the usefulness of the methods at present.  相似文献

This paper presents new results on integrated devices for radio and free-space optical dual-mode communication. Two novel hybrid packaging schemes using two different microwave printed antenna designs are presented for the integration of radio-optical front-end circuits on a planar compact printed circuit board with shared electrical and structural components. Full-wave electromagnetic (EM) simulations are presented for antenna optimization to minimize EM interference between the radio and optical circuits. A hybrid radio-optical package design is developed, prototyped, and experimentally studied using a modified quasi-Yagi antenna with split directors to form pads for opto-electronic device integration. Dual-mode link connectivity is investigated in simulations and experiments. A data rate of 2.5 Gb/s is demonstrated for the optical channel despite 15–20-dB signal coupling between the optical and microwave circuits.   相似文献

由于微带环行器具有体积小,易与微波电路集成等优点,从而成为现阶段环行器研究的主要对象。针对同一铁氧体基片,采用不同的设计方法,设计工作在X波段的微带结环行器,在HFSS中进行仿真,各设计方法的仿真数据均满足设计要求和性能指标。仿真结果表明经典理论设计与计算机仿真相结合对微带环行器的设计具有指导意义。  相似文献

对八木微带天线进行了研究。仿真设计一种宽带宽波束圆极化八木微带天线,在中心频率上实现了波束由侧射向端射偏转26°,频率带宽达800MHz,0dB主波束宽度为110°;采用Wilkinson微带功分器产生两路幅度相等相位相差90°信号对天线进行馈电,实现了圆极化。同时研究了在设计天线中参数对于八木微带天线主波束偏转角度的影响,得出了偏转角度随各参数变化的一般规律。  相似文献

Planar ultrawideband (UWB) antennas with on-ground band-notched structures are studied in this paper. Two different slot resonators, which feature quarter-wavelength and half-wavelength configurations, are embedded into the arc shaped ground plane of the circular disk patch antennas in order to obtain the desired band-rejection around 5.8 GHz. Their principles and characteristics are analyzed and compared in detail providing designers with in-depth understanding and useful design information. By choosing the quarter-wavelength slot resonator, the first spurious stopband can be pushed up to 3 $f _{0}$ ($f _{0}$ stands for the center frequency of the notch) and this antenna retains a super wide working band which spans from 1.62 GHz to 17.43 GHz. Performance in both the frequency domain and time domain for this antenna has been investigated carefully. The transmission response of a transceiving antenna system and their corresponding transient analysis are discussed at the end of this paper.   相似文献

运用分层媒质格林函数结合矩量法对复合左右手(Composite Right/left-handed CRLH)结构微带天线进行了准确的数值计算,由于CRLH结构在匹配性能上的不足,该结构天线在S参数性能上很难达到要求。该文提出利用量子遗传算法对CRLH结构微带天线的虚地结构进行了编程优化,大大改善了CRLH结构微带天线的S参数,对优化获得的小型微带天线进行加工制作,测试结果较为理想,并得出:改变虚地的形状、大小不仅可以优化天线的S参数,而且可以改变天线的第一谐振频率。从而为实现CRLH结构微带天线的宽频化、多频化提供了一定的理论支持。  相似文献

目前商用环行器均需要外加偏置磁场,体积大,难集成。利用厚度为0.2mm的锶永磁铁氧体材料,基于带线结环行器理论,设计、优化并制作了一种自偏置微带双Y结环行器,器件无需外加偏置磁场,可显著降低环行器的体积和重量,便于集成化。测试结果和仿真结果基本吻合。测试结果表明,制作的器件在17.5GHz和29.3GHz频率点处均呈现明显的环行性能。在17.5GHz处,电压驻波比为1.3,插入损耗为4.2dB,隔离损耗为20.4dB。在29.3GHz附近,隔离损耗为18.1dB。在30.3GHz附近,插入损耗为3.1dB,电压驻波比约为1.2,最后探讨了所制作的环行器的插入损耗偏大的原因。  相似文献

An effective probe compensated near-field—far-field transformation technique with planar spiral scanning is developed in this paper. It makes use of an ellipsoidal modelling of the source, instead of the previously adopted spherical one. Such a modelling, tailored for quasi-planar antennas, allows one to consider measurement planes at a distance smaller than one half the antenna maximum size, thus reducing the error related to the truncation of the scanning surface. Moreover, it is quite general, containing the spherical modelling as particular case, and reduces significantly the number of the needed near-field data when dealing with quasi planar antennas. Some numerical tests, assessing the accuracy of the technique and its stability with respect to random errors affecting the data, are reported.   相似文献

为了满足现代通信的需求,设计了一种新型的超宽带平面天线,实现了良好的超宽频带阻抗匹配.该天线的辐射贴片与接地板结构相似,通过在辐射贴片上加载U型槽以及在馈线一侧加载新型陷波结构分别在中心频率3.5 GHz和5.5 GHz处产生陷波.天线实测与仿真结果基本相近,通带内辐射效果良好,且该天线对WIMAX及WLAN波段有很好的抑制功能,可用于超宽带系统.  相似文献

首先提出了一种小型超宽带酒杯形单极子天线结构,采用对接地板做切角处理和辐射贴片的曲流处理,提高了宽频天线性能。通过HFSS数值模拟仿真,该天线主抗带宽为3.08~11.18GHz,覆盖了FCC建议的频段。在整个频段内辐射方向图E面和H面具有良好方向图稳定性,满足了超宽带通信对天线的要求。  相似文献
