Over the past few decades, robotics technology and applications have attracted considerable interest from many researchers both in academia and industry. This interest mainly covers the development and implementation of control strategies for robotic systems such as adaptive control, robust control, active disturbance rejection control (ADRC), etc. The continuous complexity of physical systems that are being controlled necessitates some practical considerations for the controller design, analysis and implementation. In recent years, the ADRC approach has become a popular control framework adopted in robotic applications due to many advantages such as its simplicity of implementation as well as its robustness and ability to reject varying uncertainties and disturbances. This review paper provides a comprehensive assessment and insights into various ADRC frameworks developed for robotic systems and highlights the basic problems involved in this field. By a thorough review of existing ADRC schemes for robotic systems, recent results of these strategies that have broad implications are classified and analyzed in terms of their structural features and computational complexity. Moreover, we attempt in this review paper to provide a reference source in this area to help researchers and practitioners select a suitable ADRC structure for solving robotic application problems as well as to light up unsolved problems in the field. An example that illustrates the practical application of the linear and nonlinear ADRC to the 4-DOF robotic arm is presented in this review paper.  相似文献

Active learning is a decision-making process. In both abstract and physical settings, active learning demands both analysis and action. This is a review of active learning in robotics, focusing on methods amenable to the demands of embodied learning systems. Robots must be able to learn efficiently and flexibly through continuous online deployment. This poses a distinct set of control-oriented challenges—one must choose suitable measures as objectives, synthesize real-time control, and produce analyses that guarantee performance and safety with limited knowledge of the environment or robot itself. In this work, we survey the fundamental components of robotic active learning systems. We discuss classes of learning tasks that robots typically encounter, measures with which they gauge the information content of observations, and algorithms for generating action plans. Moreover, we provide a variety of examples – from environmental mapping to nonparametric shape estimation – that highlight the qualitative differences between learning tasks, information measures, and control techniques. We conclude with a discussion of control-oriented open challenges, including safety-constrained learning and distributed learning.  相似文献

The germanium selenide/polymer bilevel photoresist system is reviewed covering the literature up to mid 1984. The review is oriented towards the prospects of germanium selenide as a high resolution photoresist for VLSI production and covers the preparation of the lithographic product and its processing. These processes include sensitization, exposure, fixing and development. The mechanism of silver photodoping in germanium selenide is also discussed. After considering the outstanding problems, it is concluded that the photoresist system has reached a sufficient degree of maturity for implementation in a production environment.  相似文献

This paper presents the Expert Operator's Associate (EOA) project, which studies the applicability of Expert Systems to day-to-day space operations. A prototype Expert System is developed, which operates on-line with an existing spacecraft control system at the European Space Operations Centre, and functions as an “operator's assistant” in controlling satellites. The prototype is demonstrated using an existing real-time simulation model of the MARECS-B2 telecommunication satellite. By developing a prototype system, it is examined to what extent the reliability and effectiveness of operations can be enhanced by AI based support. In addition, the study examines the questions of acquisition and representation of the “knowledge” for such systems, and the feasibility of “migration” of some (currently) ground-based functions into future space-borne autonomous systems.  相似文献

The goal of our control system is to improve the reliability, accuracy, and economy of operation of a sequence of interrelated processes. We achieve this task by using well known, rigorous statistical techniques to continuously monitor process parameters, detect out-of-control equipment, and then optimally adjust relevant machine inputs to bring the process back on target We have implemented the supervisory control system on the photolithography sequence in the Berkeley Microfabrication Laboratory, where it has been conclusively proven that the supervisory control system increases significantly the capability of the entire process. The supervisory control algorithms, consisting of feedback and feed-forward control, multivariate, model-based statistical process control (SPC), and automated specification management algorithms, are independent of machine and/or process, and can be applied to any semiconductor manufacturing sequence  相似文献

An application of the backpropagation neural network to the tracking control of industrial drive systems is presented. The merits of the approach lie in the simplicity of the scheme and its practicality for real-time control. Feedback error trajectories, rather than desired and/or actual trajectories, are employed as inputs to the neural network tracking controller. It can follow any arbitrarily prescribed trajectory even when the desired trajectory is changed to that not used in the training. The use of semiconductor bulk phenomena in implementing microwave control components is reviewed. The principal phenomena explored to date have been the dielectric and conductive properties of the plasma state. A brief discussion of these properties is presented to identify their potentially useful characteristics for microwave control. It is noted that to date only the conductive plasma properties have proved practical for application. More specifically, electron-hole plasmas, generated by impact ionization or by contact injection, existing in silicon have been successfully incorporated in microwave circuitry to yield control components with substantially improved performance over junction devices. Examples of the design, fabrication, and results obtained for bulk semiconductor control components are presented illustrating the application of impact ionization to limiter and duplexer operation and contact injection utilizing a window configuration to switching and phase shifting operation. The principal improvements are gained through achieving at least an order of magnitude increase in power handling and full guide bandwidth in utilizing the window. In addition, it is noted that the bulk approach is virtually the only practical semiconductor approach for millimeter wave control components.  相似文献

Active noise control (ANC) is achieved by introducing a cancelling “antinoise” wave through an appropriate array of secondary sources. These secondary sources are interconnected through an electronic system using a specific signal processing algorithm for the particular cancellation scheme. ANC has application to a wide variety of problems in manufacturing, industrial operations, and consumer products. The emphasis of this paper is on the practical aspects of ANC systems in terms of adaptive signal processing and digital signal processing (DSP) implementation for real-world applications. In this paper, the basic adaptive algorithm for ANC is developed and analyzed based on single-channel broad-band feedforward control. This algorithm is then modified for narrow-band feedforward and adaptive feedback control. In turn, these single-channel ANC algorithms are expanded to multiple-channel cases. Various online secondary-path modeling techniques and special adaptive algorithms, such as lattice, frequency-domain, subband, and recursive-least-squares, are also introduced. The structure and operation of the Federated Computer-Aided Control Design System is discussed. The system is termed "Federated" to indicate that it consists of several independently developed subsystems tied together by a unified database. The objective is to provide the user with a unified system that spans the entire control design problem: modeling, design, and simulation. This paper discusses how the management of the database is handled and the operation of an overall system supervisor. A set of supervisor commands are given which allow considerable flexibility to add subsystems and to tailor commands to the individual installation.  相似文献

The correlation dimension of optokinetic nystagmus (OKN) eye movements from a normal human subject was computed. Results indicate a value of about 2.8, indicating the possibility of chaotic dynamics in OKN. This was found to differ from the dimension of an artificial OKN signal with the same second-order statistics.  相似文献
