A Unix-to-Versados link

In this paper the implementation of CV, a utility for calling up the Versados system under Unix, is described. CV provides useful resource-sharing features to Unix users such as file transfers between the two systems and accessibility of a real-time environment. The implementation of the Unix-to-Versados link requires detailed knowledge of the hardware and software interfaces of the systems. Problems encountered and their solutions are discussed; the experience gained here could be useful to others in solving similar problems.     

郝景文、郝景龙侵入银行计算机系统盗窃案

Community-based link prediction

This work proposes a community-based link prediction approach for identifying missing links or the links that are likely to appear in near future. Earlier works on link prediction consider only connectivity pattern or node attributes. We incorporate the notion of community structure in link prediction. An algorithm is designed to account the influence of communities on link prediction. We have considered recently developed edge centrality measures to compute likelihood scores of missing links. The performance of proposed algorithm is analyzed in terms of three metrics and execution time on both real-world networks and synthetic networks, where ground truth communities are already defined. The time complexity of proposed algorithm is also analyzed.

     

NERVTRACK--a neuroanatomical data bank

To provide the neurologist with a detailed and easily accessible neuroanatomical reference, we have developed a data bank including all relevant efferent and many afferent neuroanatomical pathways. NERVTRACK contains 4000 anatomical data items arranged in a tree-like manner reflecting structural and functional relationships. The program is able to address problems like the following: (1) What is the spinal, radicular, and peripheral innervation of a given muscle? (2) Which muscles are affected by a lesion of a given peripheral nerve, a root, or a segment of the spinal cord? (3) For a given muscle, what are synergists and antagonists, and which clinical test is applicable to evaluate its strength? NERVTRACK runs on IBM-compatible microcomputers, even on lap tops. It is a fast and comfortable reference for clinical practice and serves as a readily accessible teaching aid.     

The bank of Scotland''s COMPASS—The future of bank lending?

This paper describes the background surrounding the need for risk analysis of commercial business within the domain of bank lending and of the development of an expert system for that task. Previous attempts at constructing expert systems in this area have either proved unsuccessful, software difficulties often being cited as the cause; or have stopped short of encapsulating all the relevant expertise. This paper considers the relevance of knowledge engineering to successful expert system construction. It reports on the development and structure of COMPASS, the Bank of Scotland's commercial lending adviser expert system which, by appropriate application of knowledge engineering, has succeeded in capturing and modelling the inherent risk of the Bank of Scotland's commercial lending process. The stages of its development are outlined; the knowledge elicitation process is described; knowledge articulation is examined from the perspective of the expert; the architecture of the system is explained; and the consultation procedure is described. In addition, reference is made to major attempts elsewhere to produce lending adviser expert systems; and the advantages; by-products, and long-term benefits of COMPASS are summarized.     

Transputer link break-out box

During recent work on transputer development, it was found necessary to monitor the communication of programs and data between transputers for subsequent analysis. To accomplish this a transputer link break-out box (L-BOB) based on the BBC microcomputer was constructed. The L-BOB system and its accompanying utility software are described, and its ‘side effects’ as regards synchronization and performance are discussed.     

Developing the micro link

The fundamental purpose of a micro-to-mainframe link is to provide information that is readily useable by the user of a personal computer. The article describes one approach which uses a generalized ‘Extractor’ database query language that is not specific to one particular database management system.     

无线网络链路质量评估

主要针对无线链路质量测量的方法进行整理及对比,通过对无线链路质量指标的测量分析来评估质量的好坏。通过对美国某实验室针对roofnet无线网络链路质量测量统计出的数据进行分析,提取表征链路质量的参数信息,运用MATLAB软件对其进行仿真,分析无线链路信道的特征及其影响无线链路质量的相关因素。
