High-pressure phase behavior of supercritical (SC) CO2 ethanol system was investigated at 333.2 K, 348.2 K, 353.2 K, 368.2 K, 413.2 K and 453.2 K and pressure from 2.0 MPa to 14.3 MPa. The measurement was carried out in a cylindrical autoclave with a moveable piston and a window for adjustment and observation of phase equilibria at given T and p. The samples were taken from two coexisting phases and were analyzed to obtain their compositions. It is shown that the solubility of SC CO2 in ethanol increases drastically with pressures at the given temperature, but the content of ethanol in CO2-rich phase increase faintly.  相似文献

Supercritical adsorption equilibrium has a significant role in defining supercritical adsorption behavior. In this paper, the adsorption equilibrium of citric acid from supercritical CO2/ethanol on a cyano column was systemat-ical y investigated with the elution by characteristic point method. Equilibrium loading was obtained at 313.15 K and 321.15 K with supercritical CO2/ethanol densities varying from 0.7068 g·cm?3 to 0.8019 g·cm?3. The exper-imental results showed that the adsorption capacity of citric acid decreased with increasing temperature and in-creasing density of the supercritical CO2/ethanol mobile phase. The adsorption equilibrium data were fitted wel by the Quadratic Hill isotherm model and the isotherms showed anti-Langmuir behavior. The monolayer satura-tion adsorption capacity of citric acid is in the range of 44.54 mg·cm?3 to 64.66 mg·cm?3 with an average value of 56.86 mg·cm?3.  相似文献

The solubility of carbon monoxide in phenol+ethanol mixed solvents at elevated pressures is reported in this article. The experimental results revealed the influence of pressure on the solubility of CO in phenol+ethanol mixtures. These mixtures are a poorer solvent for carbon monoxide. The solubility of CO is a linear function of pressure, and the extended Henry's constants were presented at different concentrations of phenol. The cubic Soave-Redlich-Kwong equation of state was used to correlate the experimental gas liquid equilibrium data and to predict the solubility of CO. At the same time, the binary interaction parameters, kO, for CO-phenol, CO-ethanol and phenol-ethanol systems were estimated by fitting experimental GLE data at 303.15 K and at 2.0-9.0 MPa. Hence, a model was suggested for the solubility of CO in phenol+ethanol mixed solvents. The agreement between experimental and calculated solubilities with the proposed model was rather satisfactory.  相似文献

The liquid–liquid equilibrium data for two ternary systems, ethanol–water–KF and ethanol– water–K2CO3, were determined at 25℃. Experiments show that by adding KF or K2CO3 into the ethanol–water system two phases are formed: an ethanol-rich phase with negligible salt and a water-rich phase with negligible ethanol, thus water can be separated out easily. A mathematical calculation of the liquid–liquid equilibrium data was carried out with the Pitzer theory on water activity in the aqueous phase, and with the Wilson or NRTL or UNIQUAC equations for that in the ethanol phase, which is in good agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

The high-pressure phase behavior of coating -solvent-supercritical or sub-critical carbon dioxide system was investigated experimentally.The coating matrix used was 108-acrylic resin at concentration raging from 10% to 50%(by mass) in mixtures with n-butyl acetate ,The experiments were conducted in a high-pressure view cell for temperatures from 35℃to 65 ℃ and for pressures from 3.0 MPa to 8.0 MPa ,The effect of temperature,pressure and content of every component on the phase behavior of the systems was observed,Finally ,the ternary phase diagram for resin-solvent-CO2 was plotted.  相似文献

N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAm) was used to synthesize NIPAAm homopolymer (nonionized) and NIPAAm-sodium methacrylate copolymer (ionized). The swelling equilibria for both gels were obtained in aqueous solution of ethanol with concentration ranging from 0 to 100%(by mass) at 25℃. The swollen gel in water shrank first with the addition of a small amount of ethanol and then reswelled with further addition of ethanol showing not only a discontinuous volume phase transition but also a typical reentrant phenomenon. A thermodynamic model based on the UNIQUAC with the “free-volume“ contribution was applied to correlate and predict the swelling behavior of the poly(NIPAAM)-gels in ethanol-water mixture.  相似文献

Process characteristics of CO2 absorption using aqueous monoethanolamine(MEA) in a microchannel reactor were investigated experimentally in this work.A T-type rectangular microchannel with a hydraulic diameter of 408 μm was used.Operating parameters,i.e.temperature,pressure and molar ratio of MEA to CO2 were studied.Under 3 MPa pressure,the mole fraction of CO2 in gas phase could decrease from 32.3% to 300×10?6 at least when gas hourly space velocity ranged from 14400 to 68600 h?1 and molar ratio of MEA to CO2 was kept at 2.2.In particular,the effects of temperature on CO2 absorption flux,mass transfer driving force,gas-liquid contact time and en-hancement factor were analyzed in detail and found that mass transfer enhancement by chemical reaction was a crucial factor for the process of CO2 absorption.  相似文献

The phase behaviors of toluene/polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon mixture systems were investigated with a continuous-flow type apparatus at 573.2,598.2.623.2 and 648.2K,while the pressure changed from 1 tp 5 MPa,The pseudo-binary phase behaviors were predicted with the Peng-Robinson equation of state with interaction parameters between toluene and pseudo-components considered.The phase diagrams of the system have been classified following the category of phase boundary diagram models.The extraction selectivity and efficiency of toluene as a solvent was discussed by comparing with that of hexane .The prediction model for selectivity was also suggested.  相似文献

Vapor-liquid phase equilibrium data including composition, densities, molar volume and equilibrium constant of isobutanol in supercritical carbon dioxide from 313.2 K to 353.2 K were measured in a variable-volume visual cell. The properties of critical point were obtained by extrapolation. The results showed that critical temperature, critical pressure and critical compressibility factor of CO2-isobutanol system decreased with the increase of critical CO2 content. The phase equilibrium model was established by Peng-Robinson equation of state and van der Waals-2 mixing regulation, and model parameters were determined by optimization calculation of nonlinear least square method. The correlation between calculated values and the experimental data showed good agreement.  相似文献

The extraction of ethanol with the solvents of aldehydes mixed with m-xylene was studied for the bioethanol concentration process.Furfural and benzaldehyde were selected as extraction solvents,with which the solubility of water is small,expecting large distribution coefficient of ethanol.The liquid–liquid two-phase region was the largest with m-xylene solvent,followed by benzaldehyde and furfural.The region of two liquid–liquid phase became larger with the mixed solvent of m-xylene and furfural than that with furfural solvent.The NRTL model was applied to the ethanol–water–furfural–m-xylene system,and the model could well express the liquid–liquid equilibrium of the system.For any solvent used in this study,the separation selectivity of ethanol relative to water decreased as the distribution coefficient of ethanol increased.The separation selectivity with m-xylene was the largest among the employed solvents,but the distribution coefficient was the smallest.The solvent mixture of furfural and m-xylene showed relatively high distribution coefficient of ethanol and separation selectivity,even in the higher mass fraction of m-xylene in the solvent phase.The ethanol extraction with a countercurrent multistage extractor by a continuous operation was simulated to evaluate the extraction performance.The ethanol content could be concentrated in the extract phase with relatively small number of extraction stages but low yield of ethanol was obtained.  相似文献

Despite its industrial importance, the subject of freeze-thaw (F/T) stability of latex coatings has not been studied extensively. There is also a lack of fundamental understanding about the process and the mechanisms through which a coating becomes destabilized. High pressure (2100 bar) freezing fixes the state of water-suspended particles of polymer binder and inorganic pigments without the growth of ice crystals during freezing that produce artifacts in direct imaging scanning electron microscopy (SEM) of fracture surfaces of frozen coatings. We show that by incorporating copolymerizable functional monomers, it is possible to achieve F/T stability in polymer latexes and in low-VOC paints, as judged by the microstructures revealed by the cryogenic SEM technique. Particle coalescence as well as pigment segregation in F/T unstable systems are visualized. In order to achieve F/T stability in paints, latex particles must not flocculate and should provide protection to inorganic pigment and extender particles. Because of the unique capabilities of the cryogenic SEM, we are able to separate the effects of freezing and thawing, and study the influence of the rate of freezing and thawing on F/T stability. Destabilization can be caused by either freezing or thawing. A slow freezing process is more detrimental to F/T stability than a fast freezing process; the latter actually preserves suspension stability during freezing. In 2002–2004, we examined the flight responses of 49 species of native and exotic bark and ambrosia beetles (Coleoptera: Scolytidae and Platypodidae) to traps baited with ethanol and/or (−)-α-pinene in the southeastern US. Eight field trials were conducted in mature pine stands in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Funnel traps baited with ethanol lures (release rate, about 0.6 g/day at 25–28°C) were attractive to ten species of ambrosia beetles (Ambrosiodmus tachygraphus, Anisandrus sayi, Dryoxylon onoharaensum, Monarthrum mali, Xyleborinus saxesenii, Xyleborus affinis, Xyleborus ferrugineus, Xylosandrus compactus, Xylosandrus crassiusculus, and Xylosandrus germanus) and two species of bark beetles (Cryptocarenus heveae and Hypothenemus sp.). Traps baited with (−)-α-pinene lures (release rate, 2–6 g/day at 25–28°C) were attractive to five bark beetle species (Dendroctonus terebrans, Hylastes porculus, Hylastes salebrosus, Hylastes tenuis, and Ips grandicollis) and one platypodid ambrosia beetle species (Myoplatypus flavicornis). Ethanol enhanced responses of some species (Xyleborus pubescens, H. porculus, H. salebrosus, H. tenuis, and Pityophthorus cariniceps) to traps baited with (−)-α-pinene in some locations. (−)-α-Pinene interrupted the response of some ambrosia beetle species to traps baited with ethanol, but only the response of D. onoharaensum was interrupted consistently at most locations. Of 23 species of ambrosia beetles captured in our field trials, nine were exotic and accounted for 70–97% of total catches of ambrosia beetles. Our results provide support for the continued use of separate traps baited with ethanol alone and ethanol with (−)-α-pinene to detect and monitor common bark and ambrosia beetles from the southeastern region of the US.  相似文献

Halyomorpha halys (Stål) (Pentatomidae), called the brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB), is a newly invasive species in the eastern USA that is rapidly spreading from the original point of establishment in Allentown, PA. In its native range, the BMSB is reportedly attracted to methyl (E,E,Z)-2,4,6-decatrienoate, the male-produced pheromone of another pentatomid common in eastern Asia, Plautia stali Scott. In North America, Thyanta spp. are the only pentatomids known to produce methyl 2,4,6-decatrienoate [the (E,Z,Z)-isomer] as part of their pheromones. Methyl 2,4,6-decatrienoates were field-tested in Maryland to monitor the spread of the BMSB and to explore the possibility that Thyanta spp. are an alternate host for parasitic tachinid flies that use stink bug pheromones as host-finding kairomones. Here we report the first captures of adult and nymph BMSBs in traps baited with methyl (E,E,Z)-2,4,6-decatrienoate in central Maryland and present data verifying that the tachinid, Euclytia flava (Townsend), exploits methyl (E,Z,Z)-2,4,6-decatrienoate as a kairomone. We also report the unexpected finding that various isomers of methyl 2,4,6-decatrienoate attract Acrosternum hilare (Say), although this bug apparently does not produce methyl decatrienoates. Other stink bugs and tachinids native to North America were also attracted to methyl 2,4,6-decatrienoates. These data indicate there are Heteroptera in North America in addition to Thyanta spp. that probably use methyl 2,4,6-decatrienoates as pheromones. The evidence that some pentatomids exploit the pheromones of other true bugs as kairomones to find food or to congregate as a passive defense against tachinid parasitism is discussed.  相似文献
