A microstrip bandstop filter is described that overcomes the problems of radiation and surface-wave generation at high frequencies (40 GHz). An attenuation greater than 17 dB has been measured over at least a 10% bandwidth. The peak attenuation in the band can exceed 30 dB. 相似文献

A tunable bandstop filter with a wide tuning range is presented. A piezoelectric transducer with an attached dielectric perturber is used to perturb the filter to obtain a wide tuning range. Without changing the dimensions of the bandstop filter the tunable bandstop can provide a wide tuning range of 25% from 4.5 to 6 GHz. A uniplanar wideband bandstop filter is proposed using two bent open-end stubs. The proposed filter consists of the bent connecting line of /spl lambda//sub g//2 between two bent /spl lambda//sub g//4 stubs, which results in wideband design with a rejection bandwidth of 90% at 2.05 GHz. Further, the connecting line and stubs have the same characteristic impedance. The proposed filter compared to the conventional one is also more compact. The area of the novel filter is (/spl lambda//sub g//4)/sup 2/ at the center frequency of the stopband, while the area of the filter realized using the nonbent stubs and connecting line is 2(/spl lambda//sub g//4)/sup 2/ for the same stopband characteristics. 相似文献

The bandstop characteristic of a slot-type split-ring resonator (SRR) on a substrate used for microwave frequencies is presented for a bandstop filter. Analogously to the conventional strip-type SRR, the slot-type SRR is very attractive for notching unwanted band because of its small dimension and high Q operation. In addition, the complementary SRR can be easily applied for coplanar configuration, which is favourable to MMIC designs. Based on the simulation and measurement results, the slot-type SRR for the bandstop filter is very effective in rejecting unwanted frequency in terms of its selectivity and size. 相似文献

A novel one-section bandstop filter (BSF), which possesses the characteristics of compact size, wide bandwidth, and low insertion loss is proposed and fabricated. This bandstop filter was constructed by using single quarter-wavelength resonator with one section of anti-coupled lines with short circuits at one end. The attenuation-pole characteristics of this type of bandstop filters are investigated through TEM transmission-line model. Design procedures are clearly presented. The 3-dB bandwidth of the first stopband and insertion loss of the first passband of this BSF is from 2.3 GHz to 9.5 GHz and below 0.3 dB, respectively. The design and realisation of original millimetre-wave tunable bandstop filters using MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical-systems) technology for millimetre-wave applications is presented. The tunable behaviour is achieved by using MEMS switches. The overall structures, including the MEMS switches, have been manufactured using dielectric membrane in order to minimise the dielectric losses. A compact dual-band bandstop filter composed of main transmission line and four folded resonators is presented. Through analyzing the structure of folded resonator, it is found that the main transmission line connected with two proposed folded resonators exhibits the characteristic of band-rejection. Simulated results show that the center frequency of stopband is 2.72 GHz. Then, through adding another pair of folded resonator; a compact dual-band bandstop filter is achieved. Simulated results demonstrate that transmission poles are induced to have better selectivity. Additionally, in order to explain the mechanism of proposed structure, the LC equivalent circuit, analysis of parametric effect and surface current distributions are given. Due to the folded structure, the filter dimensions are reduced and the adjustable stopband is another feature. By virtue of optimization, proposed structure is fabricated. In this article, by replacing the series quarter-wavelength connecting line of conventional open-stub bandstop filter (BSF) with the equivalent P-shaped line, a compact dual-band BSF is proposed and designed. Furthermore, it suppresses a lot of spurious passbands of the open-stub BSF. Design equations of P-shaped line are achieved by ABCD matrixes. To validate the design concept, two full-wave electromagnetic simulators are used and the proposed filter is fabricated. The simulate results are in excellent agreement with measurement results. The circuit area of the dual-band BSF is only 50% of the conventional open-stub BSF. 相似文献

A dual-band bandstop filter (DBBSF) with a dual-mode loop resonator is presented. In order to allow the DBBSF to exhibit high skirt selectivity and to generate a wide rejection bandwidth a capacitive coupled-line section is introduced. 设计了一种基于可重构超材料的太赫兹三带可调带阻滤波器。该滤波器各单元均由可动部分与固定部分构成,两部分均采用金-硅两层结构,表层金的厚度为0.65 μm,下层硅的厚度为25 μm。可移动部分由电热驱动器进行驱动,最大位移为5 μm。可动部分为两边长不同的矩形环,固定部分为开口环。用时域有限积分方法研究了滤波特性和频率可调机理,并根据表面电流分布情况,建立了等效电路。由表面电流分布可知,前两个阻带中心频率分别由固定部分的低频偶极子和高频偶极子振荡产生,第三个阻带中心频率由可动部分表面的偶极子振荡产生。该可调带阻滤波器在太赫兹通信和频率选择性太赫兹探测领域有重要应用价值。 相似文献

以中心工作频率130 GHz、衰减深度为-40 dB的太赫兹带阻滤波器为制备对象,介绍了其在制备过程中蒸镀、光刻、显影及湿法刻蚀等工艺步骤中的一些技术细节。制备得到的太赫兹滤波器加工误差<±3 μm,考察了加工误差对滤波器传输性能的影响,该加工误差在可接受范围。为进一步验证工艺的可靠性,使用空间测量装置获得了滤波器样品传输性能,测试结果与设计值吻合度较好。最后,探讨了本工艺推广至更高频率器件的适用性及需要改进之处。文中介绍的硅基太赫兹器件加工工艺适用于电子器件与光子器件的融合发展。 相似文献

Compact and highly selective filters can be implemented by loading a transmission line with series printed capacitors and shunt resonant λ/4 stubs resembling the familiar printed negative-refractive-index transmission- line topology. Simulation and experimental results of a microstrip two-stage bandpass filter and a bandstop notch filter are presented. The four-pole bandpass filter exhibits an elliptic-type response with 3% fractional bandwidth. The microstrip bandstop notch filter exhibits a 50 dB deep stopband and a notch /spl varrho/ of 50. A novel bandstop filter (BSF) structure is proposed and measured for wideband and compact circuit applications. The proposed BSF realizes the wide stopband (2-octave) characteristics by superposing two different photonic bandgap (PBG) structures into a coupled double-plane configuration. Only three cells of the proposed structure are enough for the measured 10 dB stopband from 4.3 to 16.2 GHz. We expect this novel BSF structure is widely used for compact and wideband circuit applications, such as compact high-efficiency power amplifiers using harmonic tuning techniques. 相似文献
