Flexible and fast security solution for wireless LAN

The great promise of wireless LAN will never be realized unless they have an appropriate security level. From this point of view, various researches have proposed many security protocols for wireless LAN. This is in order to handle WLAN security problems which are mostly due to the lack of physical protection in WLAN or because of the transmission on the radio link. In this paper, we propose a security protocol named FFTLS (flexible and fast transport layer security), an EAP authentication method that enables secure communication between a client and an authentication server in a powerful and flexible way. Unlike existing EAP authentication methods, FFTLS protocol has the ability to combine between shared secrets and certificate-based infrastructures and to natively ensure additional security services such as identity protection, non-repudiation and perfect forward secrecy. Moreover, it efficiently optimizes the computational time and the message flows needed to open secure sessions for both clients and authentication servers.

LAN security: problems and solutions for Ethernet networks

Despite many research and development efforts in the area of data communications security, the importance of internal local area network (LAN) security is still underestimated. This paper discusses why many traditional approaches to network security (e.g. firewalls, the modern IPSec or various application level protocols) are not so effective in local networks and proposes a prospective solution for building of secure encrypted Ethernet LANs. The architecture presented allows for employment of the existing office network infrastructure, does not require changes to workstations' software, and provides high level of protection. The core idea is to apply security measures in the network interface devices connecting individual computers to the network (i.e. network interface cards (NICs)). This eliminates the physical possibility of sending unprotected information through the network. Implementation details are given for data and key exchange, network management, and interoperability issues. An in-depth security analysis of the proposed architecture is presented and some conclusions are drawn.

通过分析安全局域网系统文件动态分级管理技术机制以及系统基于动态监控交换机的终端行为监控结构,提出了一种基于安全局域网分级文件分发系统的设计与实现方案。该系统解决了原有安全局域网系统监控结构的网络化扩展问题,实现了网络文件的分级可控管理,除了能够防范来自系统外部的普通网络攻击行为外,确保了对系统合法用户操作行为的控制,有效阻止了内部人员信息泄露的基本途径,能够提高各类共享数据的安全性。     

对企业级局域网的网络安全问题探讨

针对目前国内企业局域网的安全问题，讨论局域网网络安全体系的设计过程中涉及的原理与方法．并且针对企业局域网的特点提出具体的技术实现手段。
