Little in-depth data exists regarding what users actually do with their camera phones. Our goal was thus to understand how people use camera phone images for social and personal purposes and affective and functional purposes. We had two main objectives. The first was to explore the range and diversity of use to help broaden our outlook on current and future camera phone use. Cyberterrorism has become a hotly debated research issue in the past decades because of the convergence of mobile computing
powers and the fledging multimedia communication computing capabilities. Cyberterrorism is the exploitation of computer network
tools to incur malfunction or shut down critical infrastructures with several keyboard punches, which is dramatically different
from traditional terrorism. Due to the ubiquitous multimedia communication tools, they have radically transformed the ways
concerning data transmission. Unfortunately, it also incurs unprecedented opportunities for committing cyber crimes that we
were not able to foresee two decades ago. Undoubtedly, the mushrooming proliferation of mobile phones spectacularly triggers
the information security leakage while most people heavily rely on mobile phones for daily communication. As cybercrime or
cyberterrorism surges, digital forensics (DF) of mobile communication devices still enormously lags behind than computer forensics.
Hence, in this research paper, we provide a hypothetical case review concerning the DF of a potential cyberterrorist attack
that was triggered by a mobile multimedia smart phone utilizing a popular web 2.0 application program via ubiquitous Wi-Fi access points. The corresponding DF of the mobile device was conducted in a step-by-step manner as well as the crime scene

One major challenge to successful aging is the capability to preserve health, or from another perspective to avoid disease.
Unfortunately, a large percentage of the elderly people are living with chronic diseases or disabilities. Home care technologies
and other emerging technologies have the potential to play a major role in home-based health care approach. The advent of
sensor technology, in addition to telecom industry has made this possible. The main goal of the presented research in this
paper is to develop a cost-effective user-friendly telehealth system to serve the elderly and disabled people in the community.
The research also aims at utilizing the state-of-the-art advances in medical instrumentation technology to establish a continuous
communication link between patients and caregivers and allow physicians to offer help when needed. Hence, we are presenting
here an integrated user-friendly model of a smart home which provides telemedicine for elderly at home. The general problem
addressed in this paper is that of offering a smart environment which monitors the elderly continuously as he moves around
at home, and sends an emergency call for help in case of an occurrence of an accident or a severe health problem. The paper

The SlideBar is a physical linear input device for absolute position control of 1° of freedom, consisting of a physical slider with a graspable knob positioned near or attached to the keyboard. Its range of motion is directly mapped to a one dimensional input widget such as a scrollbar. The SlideBar provides absolute position control in one dimension, is usable in the non-dominant hand in conjunction with a pointing device, and offers constrained passive haptic feedback. These characteristics make the device appropriate for the common class of tasks characterized by one-dimensional input and constrained range of operation. An empirical study of three devices (SlideBar, mouse controlled scrollbar, and mousewheel) shows that for common scrolling tasks, the SlideBar has a significant advantage over a standard mouse controlled scrollbar in user preference. In recent years, the smart phone equipped with advanced mobile applications such as convenient and easy access to the Internet has become an essential tool for the multitasking era, recently termed the M-era. How we can understand customers’ needs and gaps and subsequently satisfy these needs and lessen these gaps by creating a high value-added product to enhance customer satisfaction and increase the benefits to, and the competitive advantage of, enterprises? This study proposes a smart phone improvement for promoting the product value to satisfy the customers’ needs with a hybrid MCDM model, which combines the DANP (DEMATEL-based ANP) and VIKOR. The DANP can establish an influential network relation map (INRM) to analyze interrelationship among dimensions/criteria by using the DEMATEL technique and then can measure the influential weights by combining the basic concept of the ANP. Furthermore, the VIKOR combining the influential weights in each criterion can integrate into each dimensional and overall evaluation based on the INRM to improve the gaps for achieving aspiration level and can enhance their competitive advantage in the smart phone market by lessening the gaps related to mobile convenience, thus creating a high value-added mobile phone product. 相似文献

In this paper, we design a user-support system for vision information using smart phones. When the user takes a picture of a target using the smart phone camera, our system can recognize the image of the target and recommend a suitable service to the user. The system executes simple image analysis and determines a suitable service for the target image. The simple image analysis can extract 13 parameters (e.g., color information (RGB), number of intersections, depth of intersection, line width, and line depth). We use machine learning to classify the parameters into each service. In our research, we use a Support Vector Machine as a learning machine tool. Our system design provides user support for several services such as translation, barcode readers, and diagnosis of skin images and demonstrates the effectiveness of our research. 相似文献

However, when one wishes to add a new event to the schedule book while taking into account the transit time for an existing event, it is necessary to switch to another application or website. In this study, we design a system that determines automatically whether the new event can be added. This study aimed at evaluating four vibrotactile capabilities for perceiving graphical information presented on a smart phone. Thirty-two blindfolded college students participated in four experiments to test their capabilities of two-point discrimination, relative and absolute judgments of line thickness, and recognition of basic shapes. All the information was received through the default vibration function of the phone, sensed by their scanning fingers. The results showed a good two-point discrimination accuracy rate, reaching 98.8% when the distance between two points was set at 3.2 mm; the relative judgment of line thickness reached the level of 78.3% accuracy when the two-line width difference ratio was set at 3%; the absolute judgment reached the level of 78.8% when the participants recognised line thickness from one of two. Overall, especially for the shapes judgment, the information transmitted by the various codes may be quite low. These findings should inspire advanced investigations and provide design guidelines. 相似文献
