With the growing potential for widespread use of permanent magnet brushless DC motor (PMBDC) drives in many low-cost applications, such as HVAC, refrigerators, and freezers in houses and small-velocity servos in process industries, it has become important to minimize the cost. One obvious place for cost reduction is in the cost of the inverter and its associated controller. With that perspective, a novel application of the converter topology for the PMBDC known as “C dump” in switched reluctance motor drives is proposed in this paper. The advantages and disadvantages of this topology vis-a-vis the conventional three-phase H-bridge converter, are highlighted from the points of view of economy in switches, volt-ampere rating, associated controller cost, and packaging. Design considerations for the PMBDC are derived for use with the proposed converter topology. The operational and design characteristics of this converter-driven PMBDC drive are derived for four-quadrant performance. Guidelines for the design of the proposed topology are derived, and presented in the paper. This paper presents a novel back-electromotive-force (EMF) detection method for sensorless brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive systems. By this method, a true back-EMF signal can be directly extracted for each phase without sensing the neutral point of the motor. The method proposed is not sensitive to switching noise and requires no filtering. Good motor performance is achieved over a wide speed range as well. This novel sensing scheme is implemented into a hardware macro cell inside a mixed-signal microcontroller. The proposed microcontroller-based sensorless BLDC drive system has been successfully applied to automotive fuel-pump applications, which require high reliability and intelligence at a low cost. 相似文献

利用矩阵变换器驱动无刷直流电机,可以实现无刷直流电机的交一交直接控制.针对无刷直流电机反电势为梯形波、相电流为方波的特点,提出一种用于驱动无刷直流电机的矩阵变换器的控制策略.将矩阵变换器等效为整流器和逆变器的虚拟连接,分别对这两个虚拟环节采用输入电流空间矢量调制和三相六拍120°持续导通模式,然后将两个环节的调制策略相结合,从而实现无刷直流电机交-交变频调速.该控制策略能够实现输出方波电流的同时实现输入电流的正弦化.对给出的控制策略进行了详细的理论分析与推导.实验验证了控制策略的正确性与可行性. 相似文献

A dc brushless motor is a kind of synchronous motor driven by an inverter and requires sensors to detect the rotor position. As one of the methods, the induced voltages of a brushless motor have been utilized in practice. However, there are some problems in this method, e.g., the motor can obtain insufficient torque due to the low induced voltages in a low-speed range. This paper proposes a new method which controls the inverter angular frequency ω1 by using inherent characteristics wherein the torque current ir is almost proportional to the internal phase angle φ where the primary flux of a synchronous motor is controlled to be constant. If the parameters of a motor are given exactly, the speed regulation is quite small and the transient characteristics with high response and high starting torque are obtained. Furthermore, it is possible to operate a synchronous motor in the field-weakening range. Here, the principle of the control method and the performance characteristics of a dc brushless motor having no position sensors are discussed. The simulation and the experimental results of the tested machine show that the proposed method is very useful for practical applications. 相似文献

The dc brushless motor, permanent magnet-type synchronous motor (PM motor), has been used widely in industrial robots, the machine tools for factory, and factory automations. Therefore, it is more desirable to improve the performance of the PM motor variable speed control system. Although only the torque component current is adjusted as the control method for the PM motor, so-called Vector Control, it is expected that the developed characteristics will be added to the PM motor. In this paper, new driving methods for the PM motor and a new design method for the variable speed control system are presented. The new motor driving methods which bring to the PM motor a new driving performance, e.g., a quick transient response or high-efficiency motor driving, can be implemented by controlling not only the torque component current, but also the magnetizing component current. A developed optimal control theory, i.e., the error system technique, is employed for designing the control system. The control law is endowed with a steady robustness against the variation of the system parameters and the ability of compensating the delay time due to the control processing. The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed by simulations and experiments. 相似文献

针对物联网通讯技术对微纳卫星提出的高性能、低成本的需求,提出了一种新型双圈磁钢无刷直流电机结构动量轮,介绍了其结构和工作原理。采用有限元法对气隙磁密进行仿真分析,结果表明,双圈构型电机气隙磁密和有效气隙磁密平均值均优于传统方案,气隙平顶宽度从传统方案的90°拓宽到120°,有效的提升了力矩输出性能。通过对无控制器状态下两种电机转速特性分析,验证双圈构型电机具有更优的动态和抗干扰性能;基于该结构设计了转速闭环PID控制系统并进行仿真分析,结果表明双圈构型电机在空载状态及突加负载两种情况下,电机达到稳定转速的时间和达到稳定转矩的时间均优于传统结构电机,且新型结构电机的脉动幅值降低约46.5%,可实现电机的高精度稳速控制。 相似文献

This paper presents a DC/DC converter topology for renewable energy systems. The proposed DC/DC converter can be used to obtain a well‐regulated output voltage from low‐voltage power source, such as wind turbine, photovoltaic array, fuel cell, etc. It has the merits of high efficiency, low device stresses, and low current ripple. The operating principle, theoretical analysis, and design criteria are provided in this paper. A laboratory prototype was successfully implemented. The possibility of developing failure diagnostics and remedial operating strategies, which together will make possible adaptive fault-tolerant operation, is investigated for a brushless DC motor drive with a fan load.
