A theoretical calculation of pump power deposition in a direct water-cooled Nd:YAG laser rod, side pumped by three diode laser bars is presented. Enhanced efficiency and stabilized beam-power generation were proved for a high-brightness cw-based 500-W Nd:YAG rod laser by compensation of the thermally induced bifocusing of the Nd:YAG rod. Maximum laser power of 500 W cw was obtained at lamp input power of 18.4 kW, with beam quality M(2) = 19 orωθ (radius x, the half-angle of divergence) = 6.4 mm mrad and power fluctuation of less than 1%. 相似文献

A 10-kHz pulse repetition frequency dye laser, end pumped by a Nd:YLF laser, is reported. This laser was tunable from 590 to 655 nm, and up to 2.55 W of output power was obtained at the 609-nm peak tuning wavelength. By inserting an etalon into the dye laser cavity and frequency doubling using a beta-barium borate crystal, we obtained up to 125 mW of 308-nm single-etalon-mode output, which shows potential for the performance of airborne measurements of tropospheric hydroxyl radical concentrations. 相似文献

We describe a diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser that is suitable for micromachining applications and is capable of generating 2.3-mJ pulses at a 4-kHz pulse repetition frequency. The output pulse duration is 20.5 ps. The system is based on a Nd:YAG regenerative amplifier with a novel four-pass postamplifier. The postamplifier incorporates birefringent depolarization compensation and simultaneously prevents parasitic laser oscillation by use of a nonreciprocal beam path. We demonstrate a simple way to achieve single-frequency operation by using fiber-coupled diode-pumped Nd:YVO(4)/KTP green lasers in a short standing-wave linear cavity. A single-mode output with 3.2-W green power was generated with a 12.6-W pump power corresponding to a conversion efficiency of 25.4%. The single-mode operation was obtained through the combined action of the anisotropic emission cross section of Nd:YVO(4) and the KTP crystal acting as a birefringent filter. 相似文献

The removal of top resin layer is an essential task prior to adhesive bonding of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites. This paper investigates the technical feasibility of using a low power continuous wave carbon dioxide laser for removing the top resin layer of CFRP without damaging the underlying fiber. The operating window and damaging threshold were experimentally determined. Irradiating the CFRP surface at a power of 14 W, scanning speed of 880 mm/sec, and a beam overlap of 25% provides an optimal thermal condition for removal of top resin layer. A finite element model was used to explain the removal mechanisms. 相似文献

本提出了一种新的激光光纤准直方法。利用光传播的平行性和直线性,光学准直技术被用于精密地建立几何参数的测量基准,在这些应用中,光束、处理电路的漂移、杂散光是影响测量精度的主要因素。为了消除这些影响,本利用调制半导体激光技术和光纤技术形成准直光束,四象限探测器进行探测,相敏检波技术对光电调制信号进行解调,所有的信号共享同一信号处理信道,且光束的调制频率远离杂散光的频率范围,激光光束漂移杂散光、电路漂移被抑制,在1m范围获得了0.3μm的准直精度。 相似文献

We put forward a new method for improving the output power stability of a cw laser. The basic idea is to replace the output mirror of a laser with a nonlinear mirror that is formed by a dispersive nonlinear Fabry-Perot étalon. Based on the semiclassical dynamic model for this system, first we derive the static conditions for this laser operating with stabilized output power, then we study the dynamic responses of output power to gain fluctuations. Both static and dynamic results show that, compared with normal lasers, the output power stability of our laser can be improved significantly when the output power fluctuations are caused by the fluctuations of the gain. The improvement of the output power can be explained by the fact that there exists an optical servoloop in this laser that is produced by the nonlinear mirror. 相似文献

采用光纤激光-MIG 复合焊和光纤激光焊分别对6009铝合金进行焊接,研究两种焊接方式下焊接接头的成型性、显微组织、拉伸性能、显微硬度、断口形貌的不同。研究表明:激光电弧复合焊的焊接速度是激光焊接的3倍;相比于激光焊,激光电弧复合焊焊缝中心显微组织更加细小;接头的抗拉强度达到母材的63%以上,而激光焊接的抗拉强度仅仅只有母材的38%;显微硬度试验表明:复合焊存在软化区,而激光焊接几乎没有软化区;断口分析表明:复合焊和激光焊的拉伸断口都是典型的韧窝状态,但是复合焊接的韧窝更加均匀。 相似文献

为丁在激光告警中实现全方位角度探测,并且在一定探测精度的前提下尽量使结构简单、稳定,提出了基于偏振编码的光纤天线的测量方法.该方法是通过在不同方向上放置不同起偏角的偏振片编码,再将各个方向的光纤耦合成一束,经准直透镜组射入解偏光路中,通过判断电路分析得到激光入射方向.在计算及仿真了经偏振片后激光能量的衰减,求解电路能检测到最弱激光的幅值与偏振衰减最大时激光引起的响应电流的幅值的关系,得到在激光角分辨率为30°时满足探测要求.实验显示,在初始激光功率在20~150 mW的条件下,每20°划分的偏振角度中设定最小识别电压为20 mV时,满足全方位激光方向探测的要求. 相似文献

As much as 1.6-W average output power was emitted in a simple setup from a diffusion-bonded Nd:YAG rod with 70-100-ns Q-switched pulses at 946 nm and repetition frequencies between 15 and 45 kHz at 22-W incident diode-pump power. A Cr(4+):YAG crystal with a bleachable loss of approximately 2.5% and a length of 0.5 mm was used as a saturable absorber. The extraction efficiency was 47% in comparison with the continuous-wave laser output power of 3.37 W in the free-running regime. 相似文献

A system for the interrogation of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors using a strain-tuned EDF laser with linear cavity is described. An optical switch is spliced to one end of the laser cavity and connects one of two high-strength draw-tower fiber Bragg gratings (DTGs). The gratings are simultaneously tuned by a stretching device and act as the end reflector of the laser cavity. By applying a ramp signal to the actuator synchronized to the optical switch, the laser signal sweeps over two different wavelength intervals, depending on the connected DTG. This approach represents a hybrid wavelength-time-domain interrogation for multiplexed sensors and doubles the number of sensors that may be addressed when compared with single DTG scanning. In addition, the use of the DTG allows a fivefold increase in the strain tuned wavelength interval over standard fiber Bragg gratings. An example application is demonstrated where temperature inside an electrical motor is measured during operation. 相似文献

窄线宽光纤激光器的线宽作为相干光学系统的重要参数需要进行准确的测定,延时自外差法(DSHI)是测量窄线宽比较理想的方法.本文讨论了DSHI测量线宽的基本原理,根据DSHI的功率谱表达式,利用MATLAB程序对不同光纤延迟线长度条件下的DSHI功率谱进行了仿真,并分析和讨论了光纤延迟线长度对线宽测量结果的影响.建立了1550 nm波长的DSHI线宽测量系统,对IPG公司的光纤激光器线宽进行了测量.该系统用示波器代替频谱仪,并采用FFT软件算法对示波器获取的光电流信号进行分析,测得该激光器的线宽约为16 kHZ,在理想的精度范围内. 相似文献
