A comprehensive theoretical and experimental investigation is presented on the performances of cost-effective radio over fiber (RoF) links where the RoF Transmitter is directly modulated by signals complying the Universal Mobile Telecommunications Service (UMTS) and Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) standards. A numerical model for calculating intermodulation related quantities like the adjacent channel leakage ratio has been developed for this purpose. Measurements have also been performed over real RoF Systems modulated by UMTS and WiMAX signals. A very good agreement has been found between measured and modelled results, and the feasibility of these connections over distances of tens of kilometers has been investigated.   相似文献

本文首先指出40Gbit/s系统的市场需求已经明朗,技术已基本成熟,成本已趋近启动门限,规模应用指日可待。接下来,本文重点分析和探讨了超高速光纤系统的几个关键技术问题,包括色度色散、极化模色散、非线性损伤、光信噪比要求、调制格式的选择、超级FEC、彩光接口和白光接口的选择等。最后简要讨论了100Gbit/s系统的现状和前景以及40/100Gbit/s系统的发展策略问题。  相似文献

高级光调制格式能够有效抑制随信道速率的增加而给系统带来的色散、非线性等传输损伤,是高速光传输系统的关键技术之一.研究了基于马赫-曾德尔凋制器(MZM)产生的八进制差分相位幅度键控非归零码(NRZ-ODPASK)、八进制差分相位幅度键控归零码(RZ ODPASK)以及八进制差分相位幅度键控载波抑制归零码(CSRZ-0DPAsK)在40 Gbit/s速率下的传输性能.结果表明,RZ-ODPASK调制格式抗色散能力较强,且相位支路的色散容限均大于幅度支路;在波分复用(WDM)系统中,CSRZ-ODPASK信道间串扰代价比NRZ-ODPASK和RZ-ODPASK分别小0.81 dB和0.19 dB,更加适合高速光纤传输系统.  相似文献

光源的光谱特性对高速光纤通信系统的传输特性有很大的影响,本文分析了半导体激光器的相位噪声(线宽)对高速光纤通信系统特性的影响,分析结果指出,在高速长距离IM/DD系统的设计与分析中必须考虑激光器线宽的影响,由于光纤的色散特性,激光器的相位噪声在接收端将转化为强度噪声,使光接收机的接收灵敏度产生恶化,并在BER-Pr曲线上表现出“饱和”现象(floor)。本文的实验结果验证了这一点  相似文献

研究了一种基于高非线件光纤(HNLF)中交叉相位调制效应的全光频率上转换射频耦合到光纤无线通信(ROF)系统.数值计算结果表明,由于交叉相化调制引起的调制不稳定性.波长1.54μm,重复频率为40 GHz的抽运光可使波长为1.56μm,载有速率为2.5 Gbit/s的非归零码作为下行链路数据的弱信号光光波分裂,产生与载波距离为40 GHz且与载波相干的两个一阶调制边带,抽运光脉宽、抽运光功率和光纤长度对载波与边带功率差有较大影响.仿真实验结果证实了以上原理,速率为2.5 Gbit/s的数据信号在高非线性光纤中被上转换到40 GHz毫米波上.信号光功牢为0 dBm时,得到的优化光纤长度为600 m,抽运光功率为17 dBm.  相似文献

Radio Over Fiber for Picocellular Network Architectures   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
We have studied RF transmission over various multimode fibers (MMFs) and a standard single-mode fiber, targeting picocellular networks for voice, data, and video applications. Bandwidth requirements of MMF links that are based on vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) have been extensively studied. The performance of the radio-over-fiber link is assessed in terms of the error vector magnitude. Also conducted was a full system analysis, including the investigation of an achievable dynamic range and a noise figure for different low-cost architectures. This was compared to coax-based RF transmission. The IEEE 802.11 a/b/g standard, as well as other applications like radio frequency identification tracking, was considered. For experimental investigations, we have used both commercial wireless access points and a vector signal generator as a signal source, with two types of directly modulated VCSELs - 850-nm sources and 1310-nm high-speed uncooled single-mode AlGaInAs/InP VCSELs. A robust system performance was demonstrated in both 2.4- and 5-GHz RF bands, and record multimode and standard single-mode fiber transmission distances were achieved. A transponder design that can meet system requirements in terms of sensitivity (< -90 dBm) and spurious-free dynamic range (> 95 dBldrHz2/3) for a dual-band wireless LAN (WLAN) fiber-radio picocellular network was developed. A full 14-cell experimental WLAN system with cells of 4-m radius was implemented to study networking issues such as handoff and cochannel interference.  相似文献

This article puts forward long-reach and high-performance Radio over Fiber (RoF) Communication Systems.Two schemes are proposed for solving the transmission restriction factors of the RoF system and verifies the system through experiments.One scheme is 40GHz RoF system based on external modulation with odd-order sideband-suppressed.The other one is 40GHz Optical Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system based on Optical Carrier-Suppression (OCS),external modulation.Both theory and experiment prove that the two systems allow not only low chromatic dispersion,but also long-distance transmission.  相似文献

运用分步Fourier算法求解非线性薛定谔方程,研究了非零色散光纤中三阶色散系数对孤子脉冲在光纤中传输的影响.结果表明,通过数值模拟,在三阶色散作用下,孤子在光传输中脉冲的能量、脉冲频移、脉冲宽度、中心位置都随传输距离呈现振荡式变化.与零色散光纤对比,分析了孤子间相互作用随传输距离变化的特性,证明在非零色散位移中孤子间距和增加二阶滤波器能有效保持信号稳定的传输;这对实现超远距离光纤传输,提高通信系统超高码率有一定实际意义.  相似文献

在甚高频(VHF)无线通信系统中,发射机互调干扰已成为一个影响通信质量和通信安全的重要因素。互调干扰不仅污染了周边电磁环境,还会干扰正常通信,降低通信质量。文中研究了互调干扰的形成与危害;分析了互调干扰的测试方法;并利用搭建的互调干扰测试系统对甚高频无线发射机互调干扰进行了测试与分析;讨论了降低和消除互调干扰的措施。研究成果对于提高甚高频通信系统的抗干扰能力,实现甚高频无线通信设备科学合理的频谱规划,提高系统间电磁兼容具有重要的应用价值。  相似文献

This paper discusses measurement limitations, and then briefly surveys the fundamental techniques employed in practical measurement sets. 文章简要地介绍了高速ADC电路性能评估系统的整体设计方案、系统的硬件设计以及PC应用软件的设计方法。评估系统硬件包括ADC电路评估板、数据采集子板、PCI-E采集卡三块子板,并分别阐述了各子板的功能框图、结构组成和设计要点。系统应用软件采用图形化显示界面,经实际使用表明,该高速ADC电路评估系统结构灵活、性能稳定可靠,方便更换不同的ADC评估板来测试不同的ADC电路,既可用于分辨率为8-16bit、采样频率500MHz以内的高速ADC电路性能评估,也可以用于多达64通道、125M的高速数据采集。  相似文献
