分析了光非归零-差分正交相移键控(NRZ-DQPSK)、33%归零-差分正交相移键控(33%RZ-DQPSK)和载波抑制归零-差分正交相移键控(CSRZ-DQPSK)三种调制格式的频域特性。并数字仿真了40Gbit/s的单信道光纤系统中三种调制格式在对色散(CD)进行后补偿、预补偿和对称补偿等三种补偿方式及考虑偏振模色散(PMD)和非线性效应情况下的传输性能。仿真结果表明,33%RZ-DQPSK对自相位调制(SPM)有最好的容忍度,但缓解PMD和CD的能力较弱;CSRZ-DQPSK在色散后补偿方式中对PMD和非线性效应具有最好的抑制能力。 相似文献

Interest in advanced modulation formats for optical communication systems has so far experienced two major waves. The first one was motivated by the potential to enhance receiver sensitivity of thermal noise-limited systems using coherent detection in combination with phase shift keying. It ended with the advent of optical amplification, enabling high sensitivities together with polarization insensitive, simple and stable direct detection. The second wave is still rolling, fueled by the potential of advanced modulation formats to increase robustness of optical transmission systems against signal distortions. Due to performance limitations given by direct detection and nonlinear effects in the transmission fiber, it is not decided yet, whether there will be widespread application in carrier networks. 相似文献

Orthogonal ASK/DPSK labeling, which encodes label information on optical carriers in a modulation format, is regarded as a competing scheme to subcarrier multiplexed optical labeling. However, the inherent cross-talk limits the extinction ratio (ER) of the payload and label sensitivity. In this paper, two optical coding methods-Manchester coding and 8B10B coding-which can remarkably improve the system quality to obtain acceptable ER are discussed. A novel optical packet encoding methodmark-insertion coding-is demonstrated to significantly reduce cross-talk between the amplitude shift keying ASK) payload and the differential phase shift keying (DPSK) label through spectrum shaping. The performance of mark-insertion coding depends on the number of inserted 'marks'. Finally, the transmission over a 40 km single mode fiber (SMF) is compared with optical label swapping for a. 40 Gbit/s ASK payload and 2.5 Gbit/s DPSK label under these coding schemes. This paper presents a new quaternary modulation scheme called SOQPSK. The principle on the optical SOQPSK generation is derived and analyzed, which is implemented by traditional Mach–Zehnder modulators. The performance of the optical SOQPSK modulated system is evaluated and compared with those of quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) and offset QPSK (OQPSK) modulation systems via simulation, in terms of spectral efficiency, receiver sensitivity and density DWDM transmission performance. Simulations show that the novel modulation scheme improves spectral efficiency for DWDM transmission and provides better transmission performance than QPSK. 相似文献
