We discuss the design and performance of an airborne (underwing) in-line digital holographic imaging system developed for characterizing atmospheric cloud water droplets and ice particles in situ. The airborne environment constrained the design space to the simple optical layout that in-line non-beam-splitting holography affords. The desired measurement required the largest possible sample volume in which the smallest desired particle size (~5 μm) could still be resolved, and consequently the magnification requirement was driven by the pixel size of the camera and this particle size. The resulting design was a seven-element, double-telecentric, high-precision optical imaging system used to relay and magnify a hologram onto a CCD surface. The system was designed to preserve performance and high resolution over a wide temperature range. Details of the optical design and construction are given. Experimental results demonstrate that the system is capable of recording holograms that can be reconstructed with resolution of better than 6.5 μm within a 15 cm(3) sample volume.  相似文献

为了对被测工件的尺寸、外观及疵病实现快速准确的检测和识别,本文设计了一种光学成像技术与计算机图像处理技术相结合的应用系统.本测量系统的原理是由摄像机摄取被测工件图像,对工件的图像进行外型轮廓提取,并利用先验数学模型计算工件的几何尺寸,最终对工件进行合格品与非合格品的分选.该系统具有测量精度高,采样速度快,稳定可靠的优点.本文提出了一种改进的哈夫变换图像检测算法,该算法对边缘曲线检测效率高,具有受噪声和曲线间断的影响较小的优点.实验结果表明,本测量系统优于传统的测量方法.  相似文献

Real time measurement of melt rheology has been investigated as a Process Analytical Technology (PAT) to monitor hot melt extrusion of an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) in a polymer matrix. A developmental API was melt mixed with a commercial copolymer using a heated twin screw extruder at different API loadings and set temperatures. The extruder was equipped with an instrumented rheological slit die which incorporated three pressure transducers flush mounted to the die surface. Pressure drop measurements within the die at a range of extrusion throughputs were used to calculate rheological parameters, such as shear viscosity and exit pressure, related to shear and elastic melt flow properties, respectively. Results showed that the melt exhibited shear thinning behavior whereby viscosity decreased with increasing flow rate. Increase in drug loading and set extrusion temperature resulted in a reduction in melt viscosity. Shear viscosity and exit pressure measurements were found to be sensitive to API loading. These findings suggest that this technique could be used as a simple tool to measure material attributes in-line, to build better overall process understanding for hot melt extrusion.  相似文献

为了解决光纤多普勒测振仪远距离非接触测量物体振动时,信号偏弱、过零点波形凌乱、难于解调的问题,本文提出了一种新型光纤准直系统。本系统主要采用在小型C-lens光纤准直器后端增加整形系统并借助ZEMAX软件对高斯光束进行准直并优化,通过对光纤准直系统成品进行耦合测试实验,使用C-lens准直器与光纤准直系统进行信号耦合效率的测试对比。实验结果表明:改进后的准直系统能够满足2 m的工作距离,空间返回光耦合效率最大能达到6.3%,极大地提升了多普勒信号的对比度,提高了远距离光纤多普勒测振仪对振动的测量精度。

Little attention has been paid to joining unidirectionally-reinforced high strength natural fibre composites in the manufacture of engineered structures. Therefore the main objective of the paper is to investigate the effect of joint geometry on the strength of natural fibre composite joints. Epoxy-bonded single lap shear joints (SLJs) between henequen and sisal fibre composite elements were manufactured and tested in tension to assess the shear strength of the structural bonds. The performance of co-cured joints, termed “intermingled fibre joints” (IFJs) and “laminated fibre joints” (LFJs) was also evaluated. These IFJ and LFJ configurations possess much higher lap shear strengths than the single lap shear joints and the failure modes of the three joint configurations are compared. SLJ and LFJ joints have been modelled using finite element analysis, allowing interpretation of the experimental observations.  相似文献

In this paper we have presented some geometric techniques to characterize and parametrize surfaces of industrial parts in range images. The surfaces are characterized to one of plane, sphere, cylinder and cone, because they form the majority of object surfaces in man-made industrial parts. The problem has been studied for two different situations. In the first case,a priori knowledge about the surface shape is assumed. In such a situation the problem of surface characterization reduces to that of surface parameter estimation. The standard deviations of the estimated parameters give a measure of uncertainty of characterizing a surface patch to one of the four surface types. In the second case, noa priori information regarding the shape of a surface is available. This includes partially visible surfaces also. To deal with such a situation, a fuzzy classifier is designed using the uncertainty values. The fuzzy classifier classifies the unknown surface patch (including partially visible surfaces) to one of the four surface types. Experimental results with synthetic range images are presented to highlight the distinctive features of our technique.  相似文献

Time-averaged in-line digital holography is applied for vibration analysis. In particular, by use of a double-exposure approach, simultaneous determination of vibration mode shape and mean static state deformation during a vibration cycle are obtained. The subtraction of two numerically reconstructed digital holograms recorded at the same resonant frequency but with a small difference in amplitude shows the mixing of Bessel-type time-averaged fringes owing to vibration and of the double-exposure fringes owing to differences in the mean deformation of the object. It is shown that separation of these fringe patterns can be readily accomplished numerically. An experimental demonstration of this effect by use of in-line digital holography for relatively small membranes is demonstrated.  相似文献

An example of application-level performance measurement on a distributed computing system using software-based instrumentation is considered. Embedded software instrumentation for measuring the performance of a decentralized adaptive task-sharing algorithm in a distributed computing system is described. For the application considered, the simplicity and flexibility provided by software-based instrumentation are demonstrated, and its limitations are discussed. A microcomputer-based, Turbo Prolog expert system for selection of industrial trucks is described. Details of the industrial truck information supporting the development of the expert system are provided. The structuring of this information into a usable knowledge base and design of the inference mechanism to specifically address the truck selection problem are overviewed.
