随着移动通信2G向3G技术的演进,以话音为主的移动业务向着话音和数据业务并重的方向发展,移动互联网的新型业务以及电信运营商的全业务拓展需求推动着移动业务和承载网络的IP化进程。本文介绍了IPRAN的发展背景,对关键问题进行了分析。同时,对主流的IPRAN技术做了一定的介绍;特别针对PTN的技术原理以及组网策略进行了论证。在此基础上,讨论了全业务运营环境中,如何以IP RAN作为切入点来构建一个融合承载移动、视频及宽带等综合业务的承载网络架构。最后,通过某电信运营商的实际网络部署策略方案为案例,对IPRAN网络部署策略做一定阐述。 相似文献

This article summarizes the major results from European projects drawing final conclusions and recommendations from the technoeconomic evaluation of three telecommunications market studies. It presents an analysis addressing a wide range of crucial telecommunications questions debated today. The business cases are: seamless mobile IP service provision, 3G mobile virtual network operators (MVNO), and fixed networks for broadband IP services. Extensive market analysis has been carried out for modeling demand, penetrations, and tariff structures for new mobile services and broadband services as an input to the business cases. Results show that over a 10-year study period, UMTS business is profitable in most cases for established operators with reasonable market share. The 3G MVNO business case is profitable under typical conditions when MVNO yields about 10 percent penetration, depending on the country type. Provision of fixed broadband services with a fiber to the curb solution is viable in dense urban and urban areas, but not in suburban environments, while fiber to the home is viable only in dense urban areas, despite the selection of protocol (ATM vs. Ethernet). Furthermore, broadband wireless access (BWA) systems, in dense urban and urban areas, show quite promising economic results. 相似文献

As broadcasting sports content has proved to be a popular strategy for driving the growth of the digital premium content marketplace in the past, mobile service operators aim to enter the sports rights market. However, as the markets for live sports broadcasting are still dominated by established broadcasters, mobile network operators are facing significant barriers to access premium content creating bottlenecks in the construction of business models. Therefore, content regulation is seen as essential for the development of mobile television platforms. Television is likely to start being broadcast to PDAs and mobile phones soon, with the help of shrinking screen technologies. With 3G take-up going far slower than operators hoped and the pioneering service in the UK struggling to achieve initial sales targets, stakeholders from network operators to content providers are looking at more reliable ways of generating money in a saturated handset market. Adding broadcast television functionality to mobile devices, whether they are phones or personal digital assistants, could be the answer. Getting a 100 second video clip to a million mobile subscribers at 100 kbps could occupy an entire 3G network for up to 15 minutes, while the same content could be delivered by the broadcast route using only around 0.1% of capacity. A new standard, DVB-H, will address issues like power saving. Impatient broadcasters may use existing platforms to deliver services rather than waiting for DVB-H. This raises the prospect of a digital audio standard, like DAB, being used to deliver television to a mobile phone. The article outlines some of the research being carried out. 相似文献
