An experiment was designed to determine the response of milk protein production and N utilization in dairy cows to supplementation of a predominantly rumen-undegradable protein (RUP) mixture with a fixed amino acid (AA) pattern and the response to the amount of feed intake. The experiment was designed as a 6 x 6 Latin square with a 3 x 2 factorial arrangement of treatments. The factors were three concentrations of RUP supplement (4.5, 14.9, and 29.1% of dry matter intake) and two levels of feed intake restriction (10 and 20%) of the basal diet. The supplement was designed to approximate a postruminal AA pattern that was similar to bovine caseins for Met, Lys, Phe, His, and Thr. Measurements were made during the last 5 d of each 21-d period. Milk protein production responded linearly as the concentration of RUP supplement in the treatment diet increased within the given range. The difference in feed intake restriction did not affect milk protein production. Efficiency of N utilization for milk production exceeded 30% for cows fed the lowest RUP supplement. Results indicated that there is an opportunity to increase milk protein production by using RUP formulations that are balanced for AA while minimizing waste N excretion.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to determine the effects of steam-rolled versus steam-flaked corn in the diet with or without the addition of a culture of Aspergillus oryzae on the performance of high producing dairy cows during hot summer weather. Thirty-two Holstein cows averaging 92 (+/- 60) d in milk were fed a pretreatment diet for 21 d followed by a 70-d experimental period in a completely randomized block design with a 2 x 2 factorial arrangement of treatments. Diets were 1) steam-flaked corn plus 3 g/d of A. oryzae, 2) steam-flaked corn, 3) steam-rolled corn plus 3 g/d of A. oryzae, and 4) steam-rolled corn. Intake was not affected significantly by grain processing or addition of A. oryzae. Compared with effects from steam-rolled corn in the diet, steam-flaked corn increased milk production; percentage of milk protein; yields of milk protein, lactose, and SNF; and the efficiency of conversion of dry matter to fat-corrected milk. Addition of A. oryzae tended to increase protein percentage and increased the percentage of SNF. Changes in body weight and body condition score tended to be higher, and somatic cell count tended to be lower, for cows fed the flaked corn than for cows fed the rolled corn. No interactions were significant. Treatments did not affect rectal temperatures or respiration rates; however, high mean values measured at 1400 h once weekly indicated thermal stress. These data show improved milk production from cows fed steam-flaked corn but not from those fed diets supplemented with A. oryzae.  相似文献

The objectives of this experiment were to determine whether ruminally protected amino acids (AA) increased milk protein when this content was depressed by the addition of whole cottonseeds in the diets of early lactation Jersey cows. Treatments were 1) a control diet, 2) a diet containing whole cottonseed, and 3) a diet containing whole cottonseed and ruminally protected lysine and methionine. Cows were assigned to treatments at a mean of 7 d postpartum and remained on the experiment for 18 wk. Dry matter intake and yields of milk, milk fat, fat-corrected milk, and energy-corrected milk were not affected by treatment. Milk fat content tended to decrease for cows fed diets containing whole cottonseed. However, the percentages of milk protein, total N, and casein N were depressed by the addition of whole cottonseed and were increased by the addition of ruminally protected AA. Plasma concentrations of methionine, but not lysine, were increased when ruminally protected AA were fed, suggesting that lysine was the most limiting.  相似文献

OBJECTIVES: L-arginine exerts anti-atherosclerotic effects in hypercholesterolaemic rabbits via modulating endogenous NO production. We investigated whether L-arginine inhibits thromboxane formation in vivo and platelet aggregation ex vivo in this animal model. METHODS: The urinary excretion rates of 2,3-dinor-6-keto-PGF1 alpha (major urinary metabolite of PGI2) and 2,3-dinor-TXB2 (major urinary metabolite of thromboxane A2) were used as indicators of platelet-endothelial cell interactions in vivo. Rabbits were fed 1% cholesterol (Cholesterol group, N = 8), 1% cholesterol plus 2.25% L-arginine (Cholesterol + L-arginine, N = 8), or normal rabbit chow (Control, N = 4) for 12 weeks. Urine samples were collected in weekly intervals. At the end of the study period platelet aggregation ex vivo and endothelium-dependent and -independent vascular function of isolated aortic rings in vitro was assessed. RESULTS: Urinary 2,3-dinor-TXB2 excretion significantly increased in the cholesterol group (p < 0.05), and endogenous NO formation (measured as urinary nitrate excretion) decreased (p < 0.05). Both parameters were significantly correlated with each other (R = 0.48, p < 0.01). L-arginine partly restored urinary nitrate excretion and significantly reduced TXA2 production to values even below those in the control group (p < 0.001). Urinary 2,3-dinor-6-keto-PGF1 alpha excretion increased in early hypercholesterolaemia and returned to control values in the second half of the study period. The early increase in urinary 2,3-dinor-6-keto-PGF1 alpha excretion was attenuated by L-arginine. Platelet aggregation was significantly enhanced in cholesterol-fed rabbits and attenuated by dietary L-arginine. L-arginine also improved the impaired endothelium-dependent relaxations to ADP, and normalized the vasoconstrictor effects of 5-HT in isolated aortic rings. CONCLUSIONS: Cholesterol-feeding enhances platelet aggregation and TXA2 formation, and stimulates platelet-endothelial cell interaction in rabbits. These effects are probably due to impaired NO elaboration, as indicated by decreased urinary nitrate excretion. Chronic dietary supplementation with L-arginine elevates systemic NO elaboration and significantly increases the PGI2/TXA2 ratio. It thus beneficially influences the homeostasis between vasodilator and vasoconstrictor prostanoids in vivo.  相似文献

Although the effect of hyperoxia on antioxidant enzymes is well known, the effect of subtoxic levels of hyperoxia on gamma-glutamyltransferase (gamma-GT), involved in the degradation and uptake of extracellular GSH for intracellular GSH synthesis, is unknown. The aim of the study was to investigate (1) the effects of in vitro hyperoxia on gamma-GT activity of type II cells and (2) the effects of the lazaroid U-74389G and N-acetylcysteine (NAC) on the hyperoxia-induced changes in gamma-GT and antioxidant enzyme activities. At 48 h after isolation, rat type II cells were exposed for 2 days to air, 60% O2 or 85% O2 with or without 30 microM U-74389G or 100 microM NAC. After the exposure, the cells were harvested and assayed for superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), gamma-GT activity, and GSH levels. In another series of experiments 85% O2-exposed cells, with or without U-74389G, were used for Northern blotting of gamma-GT mRNA. Exposure to 60% O2 decreased gamma-GT and GSH by -47 and -34%, respectively, while SOD and GPx activities remained unchanged. After 85% O2-exposure gamma-GT decreased by -55%, SOD and GPx increased by +55 and +87%, respectively, while GSH decreased by -35%. NAC treatment decreased gamma-GT activity by -42% in the air-exposed cells. After 60% O2, U-74389G led to significantly higher gamma-GT (+117%) and GSH (+26%) while NAC only led to higher GSH (+28%) compared to the oxygen-exposed cells not treated with NAC or U-74389G. After 85% O2 U-74389G increased gamma-GT, SOD, and GSH by +72, +58, and +68%, respectively, while NAC only increased SOD (+49%) and GSH (+26%) compared to the oxygen-exposed cells not treated with NAC or U-74389G. The 85% O2 exposure, with or without U-74389G, had no effect on gamma-GT mRNA levels. The results show that hyperoxia decreases rat type II cell gamma-GT activity in vitro. This effect was not related to an altered regulation at mRNA level and it was not associated with the hyperoxia-induced decrease in intracellular GSH, since restoration of the GSH levels by NAC did not restore gamma-GT activity. The lazaroid U-74389G with vitamin E-like properties effectively prevented the decrease in gamma-GT and GSH, so that direct inactivation of the membrane-bound gamma-GT by hyperoxia is the most likely mechanism.  相似文献

Based on previous in vitro results that showed reduced biohydrogenation of oleamide by ruminal microbes, this study was conducted to determine whether the addition of oleamide to the diets of dairy cows would enhance the C18:1 concentration in milk. Nine first lactation Holstein cows were fed three diets in a 3 x 3 Latin square replicated three times. Each period lasted 3 wk. The total mixed diets consisted of 42% corn silage and 58% concentrate (dry matter basis) with either no added fat (control), 3.5% high oleic canola oil, or 3.5% oleamide. Dry matter intake was reduced when oleamide was added to the diet but not when canola oil was added. Milk yields were the same for cows fed all three diets. Canola oil reduced fat-corrected milk yield and milk fat concentration, but these were not affected by oleamide. Milk protein concentration was lower for cows fed oleamide than for cows fed canola oil. Milk C18:1 averaged 23.16% of total fatty acids for cows fed the control diet and increased to 35.13% when canola oil was fed. Oleamide further increased C18:1 to 48.16% of total fatty acids in milk. All fatty acids with > or = 16 carbon chain length were reduced by oleamide. Oleamide was more effective than was canola oil in this study at increasing the oleic acid content of bovine milk. Oleamide reduced dietary intake when added at 3.5% of the dietary dry matter but still had no effect on milk yield or milk composition.  相似文献

Thirty-two Holstein cows (8 primiparous) were assigned to negative control or to one of three treatments to assess three forage harvesting and conservation techniques. Forage was harvested as low moisture silage by either a cylinder-type forage harvester, a self-loading forage harvester, or a round baler. Treatment diets were fed from wk 4 to 15 of lactation and consisted of silages harvested by the respective methods supplemented with concentrate at 1.1% of BW. Unsupplemented silage harvested by a cylinder-type forage harvester was used as a control. Daily DMI was higher for cows fed supplemented heap silage cut with either a cylinder-type forage harvester (23.7 kg) or a self-loading forage harvester (22.6 kg) than for cows fed the control (20.0 kg) or supplemented round bale silage (20.1 kg). Milk yield was highest for cows fed supplemented heap silage cut with a cylinder-type forage harvester (26.6 kg/d) and lower for those fed supplemented heap silage cut with a self-loading forage harvester (22.7 kg/d) or the control (20.8 kg/d). Milk composition and digestibilities of DM, N, ADF, and energy were similar among treatments. Postfeeding NEFA concentration decreased more for control cows than for those fed supplemented silage, which was related to greater BW loss. The high milk yield for cows fed supplemented heap silage cut with a cylinder-type forage harvester could be related to a high DMI and low BW gain.  相似文献

The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the influences of Ca and P contents in an anionic diet on the mineral metabolism in plasma, urine and bone in periparturient diary cows. Fifteen multiparous Holstein-Friesian cows were divided into 3 dietary groups (5 cows/group) by dietary Ca and P contents and dietary cation-anion balance [(Na + K) - (Cl + S) mEq/kg DM]; diet 1 [low Ca (0.46%), low P (0.24%), cationic (+195.8 mEq/kg DM)]; diet 2 [low Ca (0.46%), low P (0.24%), anionic (-32.4 mEq/kg DM)]; and diet 3 [high Ca (0.93%), high P (0.60%), anionic (-41.0 mEq/kg DM)]. Cows were fed one of these 3 diets from approximately 4 weeks before the expected calving date to 5 days after calving. There was no outbreak of milk fever in any cows fed these 3 diets; however, plasma Ca levels at 1 and 2 days after calving tended to be higher in the cows fed diet 3 than those in the cows fed diets 1 or 2. Fractional urinary excretion of Ca in the cows fed diet 2 or 3 was higher than that in the cows fed diet 1. Fractional urinary excretion and plasma level of Pi were higher during the periparturient period in the cows fed diet 3 than those in the cows fed diets 1 or 2. There were no significant differences in plasma parathyroid hormone levels among the 3 groups. In the spongy substance of ilium at 5 days after calving, the Ca and Mg contents bone volume and trabecular thickness were the lowest, but not significant, in the cows fed diet 2. These data suggest that sufficient Ca and P contents in an anionic diet may be effective in maintaining plasma Ca and Pi levels of periparturient cows and further in preventing of potential bone damage brought about by increased urinary mineral excretion following the feeding of an anionic diet.  相似文献

The relationship between protein nutrition and milk urea N was investigated in three experiments with a total of 125 cows. After 4 wk of pretreatment, cows received 1 of 13 diets with different ratios of protein to energy for 16 wk. Milk was sampled individually for urea analyses during pretreatment and during wk 1, 5, 10, and 15 of treatment. Results were compared with N losses estimated from rumen fermentation and with N losses of metabolic origin. The mean milk urea N concentration was 12.6 mg/100 ml of milk (range, 9.0 to 18.3 mg). For bulk samples especially, the rumen efflux of crude protein intake was the main determinant of the variation in milk urea N (r2 = 0.81; residual SD = 1.1). However, N losses from the rumen explained only about 50% of the variation in the milk urea N content of samples from individual cows. The N losses of metabolic origin, which, in these experiments, were responsible for 47 to 100% of urinary N losses, were not related to milk urea N. Results showed that regular measurement of milk urea N in bulk samples can be used to monitor N losses from rumen fermentation. However, the value does not give an indication of the efficiency with which the absorbed protein is utilized.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To assess the effect of vaccination against bovine respiratory syncytial virus on milk production, reproductive performance, and health in lactating dairy cows. DESIGN: Prospective randomized block design. ANIMALS: 385 Holstein dairy cows and heifers. PROCEDURE: Cows were grouped by lactation number, season of calving, and previous mature equivalent 305-day milk production (where appropriate). Prior to parturition, cows and heifers were randomly assigned to be vaccinated i.m. against infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, bovine viral diarrhea, and parainfluenza 3 viruses by use of a three-way vaccine, or to be vaccinated against those viruses as well as bovine respiratory syncytial virus, using a four-way vaccine. Milk production was measured daily through 305 days of lactation. Reproductive and medical records were reviewed to obtain insemination dates and record medical problems of cows in each vaccine treatment group. RESULTS: Compared with the three-way vaccine, administration of the four-way vaccine was associated with higher milk production (1.39 kg [3.06 lb] more milk/d) in first-parity cows during the first 21 weeks of lactation. Vaccination did not have any effect on milk production after the first 21 weeks of lactation in cows of any parity. Conception rates at first insemination were higher for four-way vaccinated first-parity cows than for three-way vaccinated first-parity cows (54.6 vs 32.7%). Compared with second-parity cows that received the three-way vaccine, first insemination conception rate was improved for second-parity cows vaccinated with the four-way vaccine (28.9 vs 47.8%, respectively). In cows of third or greater parity, first insemination conception rate was not different between the 2 vaccine treatment groups. CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS: Vaccination of heifers against bovine respiratory syncytial virus prior to partrition may increase milk production and first insemination conception rates.  相似文献

Exocrine secretion from the pancreas and concentrations of cholecystokinin, gastrin, secretin, and somatostatin in plasma were measured in relation to feeding in 70- to 120-d-old preruminant calves fed either a milk diet or a soybean diet. Pancreatic fluid was continuously collected, measured, and reintroduced in catheterized calves. Blood samples were withdrawn for measurements of gut regulatory peptide concentrations in plasma. A slight increase in outflow of pancreatic fluid was observed 30 min before the milk diet was introduced but not before the soybean diet was fed. In contrast, concentrations and outflows of protein and trypsin immediately after feeding were higher when calves were fed the soybean diet. Overall, during the first 5 h postfeeding, the outflow of pancreatic fluid was 40% higher when the milk diet was fed than when the soybean diet was fed. No difference in outflow of protein was observed, but that of trypsin was 82% higher when the soybean diet was fed. This enhanced enzyme secretion could have been related to the increased plasma concentrations of gastrin and cholecystokinin after the soybean diet was fed. Secretin release was less in calves fed the milk diet that in calves fed the soybean diet during the first 2 h postfeeding, suggesting that this gut peptide along with gastrin and cholecystokinin, contributed to the stimulation of enzyme secretion. Plasma gut regulatory peptides could be influenced by the soybean diet, which does not coagulate in the stomach, inducing faster gastric emptying of protein and fat, and by the chemical form of protein from the soybean diet and the lower susceptibility of these proteins to protease compared with casein. However, the resulting enhancement of pancreatic trypsin secretion and activity seemed to be insufficient to increase the digestibility of soybean protein up to a level similar to that of milk.  相似文献

Four cannulated cows in a 4 x 4 Latin square design were used to study the effects of supplemental dietary fatty acids from roasted soybeans combined with tallow or partially hydrogenated fats, varying in esterification and fatty acid chain length, on nutrient digestion and lactation performance. Diets were formulated to contain (DM basis) 48% forage in addition to 1.5% fatty acids from roasted soybeans and 2.5% fatty acids from tallow, partially hydrogenated tallow triglycerides, partially hydrogenated tallow fatty acids, or a blend of 30% tallow and 70% hydrogenated fatty acids that were rich in palmitic acid. Apparent total tract digestibilities of OM, N, and NDF were similar among diets. Supplemental fat as fatty acids, compared with triglycerides, increased digestibilities of total fatty acids and C18:1 in the small intestine, perhaps indicating that lipolysis was rate-limiting. Fatty acids also increased milk fat percentage and efficiency of 4% FCM production. Although intake of C16 fatty acids was higher for cows fed the fat rich in palmitic acid than for those fed the tallow fatty acids, total duodenal flows of C16 fatty acids were similar, and digestibility in the small intestine was unaffected. Dry matter intake, 4% FCM production, and milk protein percentage were similar among treatments.  相似文献

Primiparous (n = 22) and multiparous (n = 41) cows were randomly assigned by calving date and parity to one of four dietary sequences of supplemental fat from 14 d prepartum to 151 d postpartum. Partially hydrogenated tallow was added to diets at 0% prepartum and postpartum (control); 1% prepartum and 2% postpartum; 0% prepartum and 2% postpartum; and 0% prepartum, 0% from 1 to 34 d postpartum, and 2% from 35 to 151 d postpartum. Inclusion of partially hydrogenated tallow did not influence yields of milk or 3.5% FCM, milk composition, or DMI during the first 151 d postpartum. During the first 35 d postpartum, cows receiving partially hydrogenated tallow starting at parturition yielded milk with a higher fat content than those receiving fat prepartum and postpartum. Addition of partially hydrogenated tallow to diets starting 35 d postpartum resulted in cows being more persistent in yields of milk and 3.5% FCM from 60 to 151 d postpartum. Reproduction parameters measured were unaffected by time of fat addition to diets. Our data suggest that delaying the addition of partially hydrogenated tallow to diets until 35 d postpartum may improve the persistency of lactation.  相似文献

This study was conducted to compare in vivo the acute effects of heated (+) and (-) gossypol cottonseed flours with those of soybean flour on lipid digestion and absorption in growing rats. Rats were fed by gastric intubation mixed [3H]-oleic acid and [14C]-triolein with heated flours or without flour (control). Lipid digestion and absorption were determined for 6 h after meal intubation. Both radioactivities recovered in gastrointestinal tract were significantly higher in rats fed (+) gossypol cottonseed flour than in all other groups. The majority of both recovered radioactivities was found in stomach contents, then in stomach wall and finally in intestinal wall. The distribution of both radioactivities at different gastrointestinal levels was similar. In stomach contents and wall, [14C]-radioactivity was primarily in triacylglycerols, but was also recovered in free fatty acids and diacylglycerols. In intestinal wall (mucosa + tunica) [3H]-radioactivity was found at greatest levels in free fatty acids, then in triacylglycerols and diacylglycerols. Greatest [14C]-radioactivity was found in triacylglycerols, then in free fatty acids, in diacylglycerols and last in phospholipids in rats fed the three flours. Therefore no quantitative differences in lipid digestion and absorption were observed among the rats fed the three flours. In conclusion, both cottonseed flours slowed lipid digestion and absorption compared with soybean flour and this delay was greater in the rats fed (+) gossypol cottonseed flour than in those fed (-) gossypol cottonseed flour. However, this inhibiting effect was probably too low to induce physiologically important effects on lipid digestion or absorption.  相似文献

Four primiparous Holstein cows were gradually introduced, according to a Latin square design, to four diets obtained from the factorial combination of two forage to concentrate ratios (70:30 and 50:50) and two concentrations of monensin sodium (0 and 300 mg/d per cow). Addition of monensin tended to depress feed intake and milk fat content without affecting milk production and without interactions with forage to concentrate ratios. Ruminal propionate percentage was increased more by the addition of monensin to the low forage diet than by the addition of monensin to the high forage diet. Serum urea and concentrations of nonesterified fatty acids tended to decrease when monensin was added to the high forage diet but did not change when monensin was added to the low forage diet. The results suggested that monensin had moderate positive effects on efficiency of milk production and might have an antiketogenic effect with high forage diets.  相似文献

The galactopoietic actions of bovine somatotropin are both direct and indirect. Indirect actions are apparently mediated by the insulin-like growth factor (IGF) system. The objective of this study was to compare systemic (plasma) versus local (lymph) concentrations of IGF. Afferent mammary lymph most nearly represents the extracellular fluid that is bathing mammary tissue. Catheters were surgically implanted in the jugular vein and the superficial afferent mammary lymph vessels of four lactating cows. A crossover design was utilized to evaluate the effects of bovine somatotropin (bST). After 2 d of basal sampling, either bST (40 mg/d) or excipient was administered daily for 5 d. After the conclusion of the bST study, a second study was conducted in which cows were deprived of feed for 36 h. Blood and lymph were simultaneously sampled at least every 6 h throughout both studies. Milk yield was increased by bST, and concentrations of IGF-I were increased in plasma and lymph. The relationship between plasma and lymph concentrations for IGF-II, bST, insulin, glucose, urea nitrogen, and nonesterified fatty acids were similar during bST treatment. Milk yield was reduced 76% by 36 h of feed deprivation. Feed deprivation also caused a reduction of IGF-I in plasma, but concentrations of IGF-I in lymph were not altered. In contrast, changes in IGF-II, bST, insulin, glucose, urea nitrogen, and nonesterified fatty acids that were caused by feed deprivation followed similar patterns in plasma and lymph. Clearly, if IGF-I mediates the mammary actions of bST, then concentrations of IGF-I in plasma correlate with milk yield responses as well as, if not better than, concentrations in lymph.  相似文献

Our objectives were to determine the effects of incremental increases in dietary gossypol on metabolic homeostasis and reproductive endocrine function in postpubertal beef heifers and the long-term effects of elevated dietary gossypol on various metabolic and reproductive endocrine characteristics in mature cows. In Exp. 1, heifers (n = 6/group) were fed either 0, .5, 2.5, 5, 10, or 20 g.animal-1 x d-1 of dietary free gossypol for 62 d. Erythrocyte membrane osmotic fragility was increased (P < .0001) in both the 10- and 20-g groups. Slight alterations in plasma concentrations of sorbitol dehydrogenase and K+ were also detected in the latter group. Treatment did not affect ADG, body condition scores, or concentrations of progesterone during the estrous cycle; however, mean concentrations of LH were higher (P < .001) in heifers fed 20 g/d of gossypol than in heifers in all other groups. In Exp. 2, lactating cows (n = 17) exhibiting regular estrous cycles were fed a control (no gossypol, n = 8) or high-gossypol (20 mg.kg BW-1 x d-1 free gossypol, n = 9) diet for 33 wk. Mean BW and body condition scores did not differ during the feeding period. Erythrocyte membrane fragility was greater (P < .05) in the high-gossypol than in the control group. Magnitude of the preovulatory LH surge, luteal phase concentrations of progesterone, follicular fluid concentrations of estradiol and progesterone, in vitro granulosa cell estradiol production, and 60-d pregnancy rates were similar between groups. The amounts of gossypol fed in these experiments are not likely to affect reproductive performance adversely in beef heifers or cows.  相似文献

Isolated rat adipocytes were incubated with serum lipoproteins or lymphchylomicrons which contained 14c-labeled cholesterol. The specific activity of lipoprotein free cholesterol decreased and that of cellular free cholesterol increased linearly up to 7 h. At this time the cell cholesterol specific activity was only 11% of that of medium cholesterol indicating that the rate of exchange was slow. The specific activity of lipoprotein esterified cholesterol remained unchanged while that of cells showed a slight increase suggesting esterification of incorporated free cholesterol. No detectable change of the lipoprotein or cellular cholesterol concentration occurred indicating that the uptake of radioactive free cholesterol was due to exchange without net movement of sterol. The radioactive cholesterol was incorporated into both membrane fraction and the fat droplet of the adipocytes. The rate of cholesterol exchange was temperature-dependent but it was not influenced by the metabolic state of the cells and not by addition of metabolic inhibitors. Trypsin or pronase treatment of the cells were without influence on the rate of the exchange and denaturation of the plasma lipoproteins with formalin increased the rate of exchange. These results indicate that the exchange of cholesterol is a physical chemical process, which is not linked to energy metabolism of the cells, and which is not mediated by either specific lipoprotein receptors on fat cell membranes or pinocytic uptake of lipoproteins. The rate of free cholesterol exchange showed a linear correlation with the concentration of lipoprotein particles in the medium. The relative transfer rate was highest for chylomicrons and decreased in order chylomicron remnants greater than very low density lipoprotein greater than low density lipoprotein greater than high density lipoprotein. A saturation of the system could be obtained only with high density lipoprotein.  相似文献
