Five novel ternary complexes of rare earth ions with L-Aspartic acid (Asp) and o-phenanthroline (Phen) were synthesized in ethanol aqueous solution. Their compositions were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, FT-IR, Raman, UV-VIS and TG-DTA. The compositions of the complexes were confirmed to be: RE(Asp)3PhenCl3·3H2O (RE: Ce3 , Pr3 , Nd3 , Sm3 , Er3 ). The antibacterial activity test shows that all these complexes exhibit excellent antibacterial ability against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans. The antimicrobial spectrum of the complexes are broad. 相似文献

Two series of solid complexes of europium and terbium with biphenyl 4-carboxylic acid and phen were synthesized and characterized in this report. Their elemental analysis, molar conductivities and TG-DTA studies indicate that the complexes have the composition of Eu(phen)L3·1/2H2O, Eu0.5RE0.5(phen)L3·1/2H2O; Tb(phen)L3·H2O and Tb0.5RE0.5(Phen)L3·1/2H2O. (RE=Y3 , La3 and Gd3 ; L=biphenyl 4-carboxylic acid; phen=o-Phenanthroline). The studies of their IR, UV 1H NMR and molar conductivities demonstrate that biphenyl 4-carboylic acid is bounded with RE(Ⅲ) ion. Rare earth ions coordinate with two nitrogen atoms of phen molecules directly in these rare earth complexes. The fluorescence spectra and fluorescence lifetimes of the rare earth complexes show that the fluorescent intensity and lifetime of a series of europium complexes are longer than those of the series of terbium complexes as having the some ligands. There are better fluorescent intensity and lifetime of hetero-nuclear rare earth complexes than homo-nuclear rare earth complexes for europium complexes. The fluorescence emission intensity of Eu3 is raised by inert fluorescent rare earth ions (Y3 , Gd3 and La3 ), but in Tb3 hetero-nuclear rare earth complexes the intensity of Tb3 ions are quenched by the inert fluorescent rare earth ions. 相似文献

Synthesis, characterization, and biological properties of nano-rare earth complexes with L-glutamic acid and imidazole 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Four nano-rare earth ternary complexes of L-glutamic acid and imidazole RE(Glu)3ImCl3·3H2O (RE=Ce^3+, Pr^3+, Sm^3+, Dy^3+, Glu= L-glutamic acid, and Im=imidazole) were synthesized. Their composition was characterized with elemental analysis, IR, and molar conductance. The TEM image indicated that the complexes were regular shaped and the length was about 30-60 nm. The antibacterial activity test showed that all these complexes exhibited better antibacterial ability against Escherichia coli, Staphylociccus aureus, and Candida albican (MIC were about 180, 100, and 310 μg/mi, respectively) and could be considered as broad-spectral antimicrobial. Their antitumor activity in vitro against leukemia K562 cells was measured using the MTr method. The results indicate that the four complexes possess strong inhibi- tion effect on leukemia K562 cells. An approximately linear relationship is discovered between the relative inhibition rate and concentration, with the correlation coefficients R〉0.7 and P〈0.05, which is considered statistically significant. 相似文献

A Schiff base L [2-thiophenecarboxylic acid, 2-(2-pyridinylmethylene)hydrazide] with its lanthanide metal complexes was synthesized. These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity measurements, spectral analysis(NMR, FT-IR, and UV-Vis), luminescence and thermal gravimetric analysis. The Schiff base ligand was a tridentate chelate and coordinates to the central lanthanide ion with 1:2 metal:ligand ratio. The conductivity data showed a 1:1 electrolytic nature with a general formula [LnL_2(NO_3)_2]NO_3. The luminescence emission properties for Sm, Tb, and Eu complexes were observed and showed that the ligand L could absorb and transfer energy to Sm(III), Tb(III) and Eu(III) ions. The complexes possessed a good antibacterial activity against different bacterial strains. In addition, the scavenging activity of the Ln(III) complexes on DPPH was concentration dependant and the complexes were significantly more efficient in quenching DPPH than the free Schiff base ligand. 相似文献

By a reaction of salicylaldehyde (Scl) with the corresponding amino acids and by the next complexation reaction of the formed Schiff bases with Cu2+ ions in an aqueous-alcoholic medium, aqua (N-salicylideneaminoalkanoato)copper(II) complex chelates of the composition Cu(Scl-DL-Asp(2-)) (H2O)2, Ip and Cu(Scl-L-Asn(2-)(H2O), In were prepared. The monodiazole complexes with pyrazole IIp and IIn (as monohydrate) as well as with 3,5-dimethylpyrazole IIIp a IIIn were prepared by replacing the molecule of H2O in the parent aquacomplexes with the diazoles under the same reaction conditions. Using a routine dilution micromethod, the antimicrobial activity of the prepared complexes and free diazoles was tested against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans. Only a significant antistaphylococcus activity was found (highest for the complex IIn; MIC = 39 micrograms/cm3). All chelates (Ip,n-IIIp,n) were more effective (MIC = 39-156 micrograms/cm3) than both pyrazole (312 micrograms/cm3)and 3,5-dimethylpyrazole (625 micrograms/cm3) alone. The relationship between the coordination-chemical properties and the biological effects of the complexes studied is discussed. 相似文献

A novel carbazole functionalized β-diketone, methyl 6-(9-ethylcarbazole-3-yl)-oxoacetyl-2-pyridinecarboxylate (MEP), and its Corresponding Corresponding binary Eu(Ⅲ) complexes Eu(MEP)32H2O and ternary complex Eu(MEP)3Phen with 1,10-Phenanthroline (Phen) were pre-pared. The investigation of fluorescence properties of the com-plexes Eu(MEP)32H2O and Eu(MEP)3Phen showed that the Eu(Ⅲ) ion could be sensitized efficiently by the ligand to some extent, in par-titular, in the ternary system, the secondary ligand Phen acting as a light-harvesting center was involved in the highly efficient energy transfer process, and the emission was stronger than the binary complex. Syntheses of alkali metal adducts [LVO(2)M(H(2)O)(n)] (1-7) (M = Na(+), K(+), Rb(+), and Cs(+); L = L(1)(-)L(3)) of anionic cis-dioxovanadium(V) species (LVO(2)(-)) of tridentate dithiocarbazate-based Schiff base ligands H(2)L (S-methyl-3-((5-(R-2-hydroxyphenyl))methyl)dithiocarbazate, R = H, L = L(1); R = NO(2), L = L(2); R = Br, L = L(3)) have been reported. The LVO(2)(-) moieties here behave like an analogue of carboxylate group and have displayed interesting variations in their binding pattern with the change in size of the alkali metal ions as revealed in the solid state from the X-ray crystallographic analysis of 1, 3, 6, and 7. The compounds have extended chain structures, forming ion channels, and are stabilized by strong Coulombic and hydrogen-bonded interactions. The number of coordinated water molecules in [LVO(2)M(H(2)O)(n)] decreases as the charge density on the alkali metal ion decreases (n = 3.5 for Na(+) and 1 for K(+) and Rb(+), while, for Cs(+), no coordinated water molecule is present). In solution, compounds 1-7 are stable in water and methanol, while in aprotic solvents of higher donor strengths, viz. CH(3)CN, DMF and DMSO, they undergo photoinduced reduction when exposed to visible light, yielding green solutions from their initial yellow color. The putative product is a mixed-oxidation (mu-oxo)divanadium(IV/V) species as revealed from EPR, electronic spectroscopy, dynamic (1)H NMR, and redox studies. 相似文献

The extraction of RE(Ⅲ) (RE=La, Nd, Sm, Gd) in sulfuric acid medium using the mixture of HDEHP(H2B2) and HEH/EHP(H2L2) was investigated. The synergistic enhancement coefficient(R) was calculated for La (1.96), Nd(3.52), Sm(5.96), and Gd(5.71), respectively, at pH=2.0, and it was seen that the R increased with the increase of aqueous quilibrium pH. The configuration of the extracted complexes was considered to be RE(SOa)xH2x(HB2)3 with HDEHP, RE(SOa)xH2x(HL2)3 with HEH/EHP, and RE(HB2)2(HL2) with their mixture as the extractant with the slope method.
