In the wireless ad-hoc network management, Quality of Service (QoS) is an important issue. Along with the QoS ensuring, another desirable property is the network reliability. In data communications, multi-path routing strategy can cope with the problem of traffic overloads while balancing the network resource consumption. In this paper, we propose a new multipath routing algorithm for QoS-sensitive multimedia services. Based on the ant colony optimization technique, the proposed algorithm can establish effective multi-paths to enhance the network reliability. According to the load balancing strategy, data packets are adaptively distributed through the established paths while maintaining an acceptable level of QoS requirement. The most important feature of the proposed approach is its adaptability to current traffic conditions. Simulation results indicate the superior performance of the proposed algorithm, while other schemes cannot offer such an attractive performance balance. 相似文献

An H-hop interference model is proposed, where the transmission is successfully received if no other nodes that are within H hops from the receiver are transmitting on the same channel simultaneously. Based on this model. the interference-free property in the Time division multiple access Wireless mesh networks is analyzed. A heuristic algorithm with max-rain time slots reservation strategy is developed to get the maximum bandwidth of a given path. And it is used in the bandwidth guaranteed routing protocol to find a path for a connection with bidirectional bandwidth requirement. Extensive simulations show that our routing protocol decreases the blocking ratios significantly compared with the shortest path routing. 相似文献

Overlay networks have emerged as a useful approach to providing a general framework for new applications and services that are to be implemented without significantly changing the IP-layer network infrastructure. Overlay routing has been used as an alternative to the default best effort Internet routing for the absence of end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS). While the former has recently been in- vestigated, the conflict of QoS restraints and resource optimization remains unsolved. Re- cent studies have shown that overlay paths can give better latency, loss rate and TCP throu- ghput. In this paper, a multi-dimensional QoS objective model based on the analysis of mul- tiple QoS constraints has been presented, and a routing algorithm to optimise the overlay re- source of its nodes and links is then proposed. In fact, the algorithm obtained multiple QoS values using probability theory to achieve the ro- uting according to the multi-dimensional QoS objective vector of the QoS objective model. Simulation results reveals that the algorithm works better than other existing algorithms in balancing the network resources, and applications with stringent QoS requirements could be run. 相似文献

无线多媒体传感器网络中多种类型数据并存,服务质量需求各异,因此如何提供服务质量保障机制是无线多媒体传感器网络研究领域的重点问题.本文提出了一种基于角度的区分服务路由算法,在该算法中,网络节点将各自的邻居节点按其偏转角度进行分类,为不同需求的数据流选择不同的转发区域,并结合邻居节点的地理位置、单跳通信负载、剩余能量等信息完成各数据流的区分路由.仿真结果表明,该算法在多媒体数据流传输的延迟、抖动、丢包率以及能耗等性能上均要优于已有算法. 相似文献

In recent years, cloud computing provides a spectacular platform for numerous users with persistent and alternative varying requirements. In the cloud environment, security and service availability are the two most significant factors during the data encryption process. For providing optimal service availability, it is necessary to establish a load balancing technique that is capable of balancing the request from diverse nodes present in the cloud. This paper aims in establishing a dynamic load balancing technique using the APMG approach. Here in this paper, we integrated adaptive neuro-fuzzy interference system-polynomial neural network as well as memory-based grey wolf optimization algorithm for optimal load balancing. The memory-based grey wolf optimization algorithm is employed to enhance the precision of ANFIS-PNN and to maximize the locations of the membership functions respectively. Also, two significant factors namely the turnaround time and CPU utilization involved in optimal load balancing scheme are evaluated. Finally, the performance evaluation of the proposed MG-ANFIS based dynamic load balancing approach is compared with various other load balancing approaches to determine the system performances. 相似文献

Current expectations on sensor node in terms of size, cost, and energy efficiency have led to a severely limited design space on hardware and software. In this paper, we explore capabilities at the network edge for sensor networks, aiming to reduce the hardware and software complexity of a sensor node without sacrificing network performance. We present a novel edge-based routing protocol, nicknamed BeamStar, for wireless sensor networks. Under BeamStar, the base station exploits some nice properties associated with directional antenna and power control at the base station. We devise a simple protocol so that each sensor node can determine its location information passively with minimum control overhead. We also show how to design a robust routing protocol based on the location information at each sensor node. Under the proposed protocol, sensor nodes are relieved of the activities (or burdens) that are associated with control and routing, thus enabling much simpler hardware and software implementation at sensor nodes. Simulation results demonstrate that BeamStar achieves high reliability at comparable energy consumptions as compared with prior work. computing link stability and route stability based on received signal strengths. By including some extra fields in route request/reply
packets, the route stability information can be utilized to select a route with higher stability among all the feasible routes
between a given source destination pair. Further, inclusion of a signal strength based admission control enhances the performance
of the routing. Results of our experiments show performance improvements in terms of packet delivery ratio, control overhead
