In this work, we show the influence of sensor system measurement uncertainties to sensor system reliability and ways to meet reliability targets. A general model to handle measurement uncertainties is defined and the according influence to reliability is presented, which is defined as probability of meeting specification requirements. Initial step is to optimize sensor systems concerning lowest influences of sensor system parameter fluctuations to the measurement uncertainty using statistical optimization methodologies. In case the influence of unknown nuisance parameters cannot be sufficiently suppressed, such parameters may be additionally measured in order to further reduce measurement uncertainties. The remaining uncertainties are again addressed using statistical optimization methodologies. Finally, measurement uncertainty also affects the reliability of such a system. For sensor systems in safety critical applications it may thus be required to include measures such as redundancy. This is also included in the investigations. Further examples for explained optimization methodologies of measurement uncertainty reduction are presented.  相似文献

I DDQ measurement is a time consuming process. Thus, reducing the number of I DDQ measurements have a great impact on the test time. Carefully selecting a few I DDQ measurement points is therefore an important problem. This problem has been studied for detecting leakage faults but not for bridging faults. We present novel algorithms to select I DDQ measurement points to detect bridging faults. Experimental results obtained are very encouraging. The method can also be used: by test generators to compress I DDQ test sets; and to maximize the fault coverage when a fixed number of measurement points are given.Research supported by NSF Grant No. MIP-9102509.  相似文献

This paper is intended to serve both as an introduction to radar cross-section measurements and as an introduction to the several measurement papers that follow in this issue. We discuss the contribution that experimental work makes to theoretical studies. The history of cross-section measurements is reviewed. Some terms are defined, and the major measurement problems are discussed. It is pointed out that the various range geometries and measurement techniques in use today were based on the approach used to solve the basic measurement problems. Some details are given of the more popular present-day measurement systems, i.e., CW, pulsed, FM-CW, Doppler, and the standing-wave ratio method.  相似文献

We address the problem of finding sparse solutions to an underdetermined system of equations when there are multiple measurement vectors having the same, but unknown, sparsity structure. The single measurement sparse solution problem has been extensively studied in the past. Although known to be NP-hard, many single-measurement suboptimal algorithms have been formulated that have found utility in many different applications. Here, we consider in depth the extension of two classes of algorithms-Matching Pursuit (MP) and FOCal Underdetermined System Solver (FOCUSS)-to the multiple measurement case so that they may be used in applications such as neuromagnetic imaging, where multiple measurement vectors are available, and solutions with a common sparsity structure must be computed. Cost functions appropriate to the multiple measurement problem are developed, and algorithms are derived based on their minimization. A simulation study is conducted on a test-case dictionary to show how the utilization of more than one measurement vector improves the performance of the MP and FOCUSS classes of algorithm, and their performances are compared.  相似文献
