An analytic method for bending analysis of a cylindrical shell composed by a functionally graded material (FGM), placed in a uniform magnetic field, subjected to mechanical and thermal loads is presented. Based on the classical linear shell theory, the equations with the radial deflection and horizontal displacement are derived, and exact solution of the magnetothermoelastic bending problem is obtained. For the FGM cylindrical shell with fixed and simply supported boundary conditions, the effects of mechanical load, thermal load, magnetic intensity, volume exponent, and geometric parameters on the bending deformation of the FGM cylindrical shell are discussed.  相似文献

We study the two-dimensional problem of contact interaction of the lips of a longitudinal crack in a cylindrical shell subjected to bending under the assumption of contact along a line. The influence of the surface curvature and crack closure on the stressed state and limiting equilibrium of the shell is analyzed. 利用非线性弹性稳定性理论,分析研究了壳体液力成形工艺中的开口圆柱壳弹性稳定性问题。计算结果表明不仅非线性弹性临界载荷远低于线性弹性临界载荷,而且更重要的是内压很大程度上有助于提高柱壳轴向弹性临界屈曲载荷,这样为内高压成形工艺提供了弹性失稳理论依据。  相似文献

分析了薄壁圆柱壳在纯弯曲下的非线性自由振动。基于改良的Brazier简单理论,将圆柱壳的纯弯曲变形简化为以下两个阶段:第一阶段壳体没有弯曲,横截面由圆形变成椭圆形;第二阶段壳体是横力弯矩作用下的变截面梁。通过Brazier简单理论获得壳体的应变能,然后利用拉格朗日方程求得薄壁圆柱壳的几何非线性自由振动方程,最终得到自由振动频率,并对线性解与非线性解进行对比分析。  相似文献

A mathematical method is derived within the framework of classical Lagrangian field theory, which is suitable for the determination of the eigenstates of acoustic resonators of nearly spherical shape. The method is based on the expansion of the Helmholtz differential operator and the boundary condition in a power series of a small geometrical perturbation parameter e{epsilon} . The method extends to orders higher than e2{epsilon^2} the calculation of the perturbed acoustic eigenvalues, which was previously limited by the use of variational formalism and the methods of Morse and Ingard. A specific example is worked out for radial modes of a prolate spheroid, with the frequency perturbation calculated to order e3{epsilon^3} . A possible strategy to tackle the problem of calculating the acoustic eigenvalues for cavities presenting non-smooth geometrical imperfections is also described.  相似文献

Free vibrations of an inclined cylindrical shell with a breathing crack are analyzed by the authors in view of the results of spectral diagnostics of transverse vibrations of a beam with a closing crack, which were obtained by A. A. Matveev and A. P. Bovsunovskii at the Institute of Problems of Strength of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Elastic characteristics of the shell are interpreted as a certain bilinear system. Data on the stiffness degradation due to the crack opening can be used for the selection of vibration damage indicators. We have obtained relationships between the relative stiffness degradation, crack depth, and crack location. It is demonstrated that the potential energy of tension of the shell median surface must be taken into account. We have found that the efficiency of detecting damages using vibration diagnostic methods improves with increasing shell thickness.  相似文献

本文以幂函数作试函数,用矩法计算受轴对称分布荷载的扁圆锥薄壳的非线性稳定。边界考虑了弹性支承,把固定夹紧、可移夹紧、铰支承及简单支承作为它的四种特殊情形。荷载采用了多项式形的分布荷载及均布边缘力矩。受均布荷载作用,在夹紧边界条件下,本文的结果同摄动法的结果作了比较。本文分析了摄动法积加权残数法各自的特点,指出用加权残数法编制通用计算程序比较简单容易得多。  相似文献

The theoretical-and-experimental investigation has been performed on the stability of smooth cylindrical shells of steel with a single local dent. All the shells manufactured using the same process were tested with the fulfillment of identical conditions for observations and measurements. Theoretical calculations were carried out by the mesh method with the use of the nonlinear theory of shells. A comparison of the experimental and theoretical values of the critical loads has been made. The theoretical-and-experimental approach proposed enables one to evaluate the quality of shells by studying local dents and other specific imperfections.  相似文献

Abstract

The nonlinear carrier wave dispersion relation at weak nonlinearity is derived for the linearly polarized (LP) modes of a step-index optical fibre that has both a nonlinear core and a nonlinear cladding. The calculation begins with the exact equations for the nonlinear fibre and the nonlinear shift (coefficient), from its linear value, of the propagation wave-number is given in closed analytical form. The nonlinear coefficient is completely general and accounts both for the nonlinearity and the structure of the guided mode. Some numerical results for the LP01 mode are presented which show that significant deviations occur from the conventionally accepted (averaged) nonlinear coefficient.  相似文献
