Using fuzzy decision making system to improve quality-based investment   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:0  
In this paper, fuzzy set theory is used to select the quality-based investment in small firm. Here a new algorithm, which will consider both exogenous and endogenous variables as factors, is proposed to formulate the problem. The structure of the algorithm is based on fuzzy decision-making system (FDMS), which uses fuzzy control rules. Hence, one exogenous factor and five endogenous factors mentioned above are determined as input variables and fuzzified using membership function concept. Then, the weights of these factors are fuzzified to ensure the consistency of the decision maker when assigning the importance of one factor over another. Applying IF-THEN decision rules, quality-based investments are scored. Also the comparison with Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Linguistic Approach (FLA) in respect to these scores is presented.  相似文献

The study aims to extend the Uncapacitated Fuzzy Single Item Lot Sizing Problem (known as F-USILSP) model and extend it for inventory planning. The F-USILSP model is a good choice when there is no statistical data collection, but where there is verbal or qualitative information from experts with experience. Previously, the mixed integer linear programming (MILP) relied on the crisp assumption which hinders the use of the F-USILSP. In this paper, a Possibility Approach is adapted to convert the F-USILSP to a mathematically solvable equivalent crisp USILSP (EC-USILSP). The EC-USILSP model is tested with a case. The organization under study is a petrochemical company power plant with trapezoidal fuzzy demand and triangular fuzzy unit price. The overall results show that the EC-USILSP is more practical and exhibits more flexibility when there is a need to add more realistic situations.  相似文献

A fuzzy mid-term single-fab production planning model   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Production planning is a complicated task for a semiconductor fabrication plant because of the uncertainties in demand, product prices, cycle times, and product yields. Traditionally, mid-term production planning for a semiconductor fabrication plant is handled with MRP systems or optimized by solving LP or FLP problems. In this study, the philosophy of prioritizing demand classes with higher certainties as proposed by Leachman (1993) is applied to the FLP model of Chen and Wang (1998), and a new FLP model for planning the mid-term production of single wafer fabrication plant is constructed. Parameters in this model are given in the form of trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Fuzzy comparison is adopted in dealing with the fuzzy objective function and expanding inequalities. The outputs are projected using Chen and Wang's fuzzy dynamic production function. The uncertain demand is classified and satisfied with four successively optimized FLP submodels according to their ascending uncertainties. Chen and Wang's example is adopted to demonstrate the proposed methodology and to make some comparisons. By moving more capacity to demand classes with higher certainties that are usually nearer and have larger discounted revenues, the proposed methodology achieves a higher value of the discounted cash flows than the two referenced models.  相似文献

This paper considers a new class of multi-product source and multi-period fuzzy random production planning problems with minimum risk and service levels where both the demands and the production costs are assumed to be uncertain and characterized as fuzzy random variables with known distributions. The proposed problems are formulated as a fuzzy random production planning (FRPP) model by maximizing the mean chance of the total costs less than a given allowable investment level. Because the exact value of the objective function for a given decision variable cannot be easily obtained, we adopt an approximation approach (AA) to evaluate the objective value and then discuss the convergence of the AA, including the convergence of the objective value, the convergence of the optimal solutions and the convergence of the optimal value. Since the approximating multi-product source multi-period FRPP model is neither linear nor convex, an approximation-based hybrid monkey algorithm (MA) which combines the AA, stochastic simulation (SS), neural network (NN) and MA is designed to solve the proposed model. Finally, numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the hybrid monkey algorithm.  相似文献

This paper describes a new diagnosis system, which is based on fuzzy reasoning to monitor the performance of a discrete manufacturing process and to justify the possible causes. The diagnosis system consists chiefly of a knowledge bank and a reasoning mechanism. The knowledge bank provides knowledge of the membership functions of unnatural symptoms that are described by Nelson's rules on X control charts and knowledge of cause-symptom relations. We develop an approach called maximal similarity method (MSM) for knowledge acquisition to construct the fuzzy cause-symptom relation matrix. Through the knowledge bank, the diagnosis system can first determine the degrees of an observation fitting each unnatural symptom. Then, using the fuzzy cause-symptom relation matrix, we can diagnose the causes of process instability. In conclusion we provide a numerical example to illustrate the system.  相似文献

The goal of process planning is to propose the routing of a previously designed part and results in a sequence of operations and their parameters. It concerns and requires detailed information about the process. The goal of production planning, on the other hand, is to schedule, sequence and launch the orders introduced on the routing sheet into the job-shop according to the enterprise's strategic goal and the actual conditions of the production plant. The goals, information and decisions taken in process planning and production planning and control are often very different and, because of that, it is very difficult to integrate them.

The objective of this work is to develop a model that can be applied in the future to the development of an integrated process planning and scheduling tool using an integrated definition (IDEF) methodology to design an activity model, which integrates process and production planning in metal removal processes. An activity model will be used to develop a system that allows the user to plan the process and the production at the same time in collaborative engineering work. To design the activity model, a wide range of parts were evaluated and processed in an actual job-shop factory. Several activities were developed in detail to be tested in real cases, and an example of one of them is introduced in this article.  相似文献

In this study a hybrid (including qualitative and quantitative objectives) fuzzy multi objective nonlinear programming (H-FMONLP) model with different goal priorities will be developed for aggregate production planning (APP) problem in a fuzzy environment. Using an interactive decision making process the proposed model tries to minimize total production costs, carrying and back ordering costs and costs of changes in workforce level (quantitative objectives) and maximize total customer satisfaction (qualitative objective) with regarding the inventory level, demand, labor level, machines capacity and warehouse space. A real-world industrial case study demonstrates applicability of proposed model to practical APP decision problems. GENOCOP III (Genetic Algorithm for Numerical Optimization of Constrained Problems) has been used to solve final crisp nonlinear programming problem.  相似文献

A single part type, single machine, fluid model manufacturing system is considered. The machine is subject to a deterministic deterioration process, which depends on the operation rate. The objective is to minimize a long term average cost index which penalizes inventory surplus and backlog. The optimal policy determined presents some similarities with the policy conjectured optimal in the past for a similar Markovian formulation. The considered problem can be applied to several real contexts, and not just from the manufacturing domain, as briefly discussed in the paper.  相似文献

This study considers production planning problems involving multiple products, multiple resources, multiple periods, setup times, and setup costs. It can be formulated as a mixed integer program (MIP). Solving a realistic MIP production planning problem is NP-hard; therefore, we use tabu search methods to solve such a difficult problem. Furthermore, we improve tabu search by a new candidate list strategy, which sorts the neighbor solutions using post-optimization information provided by the final tableau of the linear programming simplex algorithm. A neighbor solution with higher priority in the ranking sequence has a higher probability of being the best neighbor solution of a current solution. According to our experiments, the proposed candidate list strategy tabu search produces a good solution faster than the traditional simple tabu search. This study also suggests that if the evaluation of the entire neighborhood space in a tabu search algorithm takes too much computation and if an efficient and effective heuristic to rank the neighbor solutions can be developed, the speed of tabu search algorithm could be significantly increased by using the proposed candidate list strategy.  相似文献

Very recently, in production management research literature, the necessity to extend production systems analysis techniques, such as queue theory, Mean Value Analysis (MVA) and discrete simulation, to Fuzzy Production Environments, i.e. to those production situations in which data are vague, has emerged. Fuzzy set theory is a powerful tool to model vagueness and, therefore, fuzzy mathematics can be used to extend classical production system analysis techniques. Nowadays, most road navigation systems’ planning of optimal routes is conducted by the On Board Unit (OBU). If drivers want to obtain information about the real-time road conditions, a Traffic Message Channel (TMC) module is also needed. However, this module can only provide the current road conditions, as opposed to actually planning appropriate routes for users. In this work, the concept of cellular automata is used to collect real-time road conditions and derive the appropriate paths for users. Notably, type-2 fuzzy logic is adopted for path analysis for each cell established in the cellular automata algorithm. Besides establishing the optimal routes, our model is expected to be able to automatically meet the personal demands of all drivers, achieve load balancing between all road sections to avoid the problem of traffic jams, and allow drivers to enjoy better driving experiences. A series of simulations were conducted to compare the proposed approach with the well-known A* Search algorithm and the latest state-of-the-art path planning algorithm found in the literature. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach is scalable in terms of the turnaround times for individual users. The practicality and feasibility of applying the proposed approach in the real-time environment is thus justified.  相似文献

In Production Networks’ (PN) planning and control, innovative concepts and solutions may result from exploiting network properties. Simultaneous application of selected interrelated models, representing a system models, may generate very efficient solution procedures for PN planning and control as pointed out for several problem types. Such Model systems may be interpreted as part of a theory conjecture for PN, based on a topological core. All models appear as embedded structures of network units and connections, carrying fold/unfold properties of graphs and systems. Interoperability requirements induce standardizations for the models. This paper focuses on the optimal tuning of fuzzy control systems using the cross-entropy precise mathematical framework. The design of an optimal fuzzy controller for cutting force regulation in a network-based application and applied to the drilling process is described. The key issue is to obtain optimal fuzzy controller parameters that yield a fast and accurate response with minimum overshoot by minimising the integral time absolute error (ITAE) performance index. Simulation results show that the cross-entropy method does find the optimal solution (i.e. input scaling factors) very accurately, and it can be programmed and implemented very easily (few setting parameters). The results of a comparative study demonstrate that optimal tuning with the cross-entropy method provides a good transient response (without overshoot) and a better error-based performance index than simulated annealing [17], the Nelder-Mead method [14] and genetic algorithms [33]. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed optimal fuzzy control provides outstanding transient response without overshoot, a small settling time and a minimum steady-state error. The application of optimal fuzzy control reduces rapid drill wear and catastrophic drill breakage due to the increasing and oscillatory cutting forces that occur as the drill depth increases.  相似文献
