报道了研制主振-放大(MOPA)结构的高功率保偏掺镱脉冲光纤激光器并用其抽运光参变振荡器(OPO)的研究工作。掺镱脉冲光纤激光器以声光调Q的Nd∶YVO4激光器作为种子源, Liekki的大直径双包层保偏光纤作为放大介质, 得到接近基模的1064 nm波长激光输出, 最大线偏振输出功率17 W, 偏振消光比优于10 dB, 重复频率50 kHz, 脉冲宽度60 ns。利用该光纤激光作为抽运光, 抽运基于周期性畴极化反转掺镁铌酸锂(PPMgLN)晶体的宽带可调谐OPO, 实现了高效参量转换。在信号光1518 nm通道, 以16.2 W功率抽运, 获得最大参变输出功率9 W, 其中3.5 μm波长功率为2.4 W。OPO的能量转换效率为58%, 斜效率为68%。在信号光1491 nm通道, 以14 W功率抽运, 获得最大参变输出6.6 W, 其中3.7 μm波长功率超过2 W。 相似文献

A compact highly efficient intracavity optical parametric oscillator (OPO) is demonstrated by placing an OPO cavity in a diode-pumped Q-switched Nd:YLF laser. By taking into account the thermal and energy upconversion transfer effects of Nd:YLF, a power scaling model is set up to optimize and design a fundamental mode diode-pumped Nd:YLF laser. The linearly polarized Nd:YLF laser in the 1053-nm line generates 6.5, 9.2, and 11.9 W average power in TEM/sub 00/ mode at the repetition rates of 1, 2, and 4.5 kHz, respectively. A highly efficient OPO signal output is realized by using an optimized cavity design. We obtain OPO average signal powers of more than 1 W over a broadband continuous tuning range from 1650 to 2100 nm at the repetition rate of 1 kHz. The OPO signal pulsewidth is 10 ns at 1 kHz. Signal energies of 2.5, 1.55, and 0.67 mJ per pulse are produced at the repetition rates of 1, 2, and 4.5 kHz, respectively. The maximum OPO signal energy of 2.5 mJ per pulse is obtained at 1900 nm, where the pump energy is 6 mJ per pulse and the pump-to-signal efficiency is 42%. 报道了一个低阈值、宽调谐、中红外单谐振掺MgO的周期性极化LiNbO3(PPMgLN)晶体光学参量振荡器(OPO)。利用声光调Q的Nd:YVO4激光器作为泵浦源,采用外腔结构,在室温下实现了PPMgLN晶体的准相位匹配(QPM)OPO。OPO阈值仅为0.4 W(重复频率40 kHz,单脉冲能量10μJ,脉宽160 ns);在泵浦光为6.6W(重复频率40 kHz,脉冲能量165μJ,脉宽65 ns)、PPMgLN周期为30μm时,获得了1.13 W的3.61μm中红外脉冲激光输出,光-光转化效率达到17.1%,同时获得了880 mW的1.51μm信号光输出,并且通过改变晶体的周期,实现了闲频光3.13~4.19μm中红外宽带可调谐激光输出。重点讨论了闲频光的功率、调谐和脉冲特性以及功率稳定性问题。 相似文献

We use three-dimensional numerical modeling to show that multiple mutually incoherent lasers can be used to pump a single resonated coherent signal beam in an optical parametric oscillator (OPO). We consider as an example an OPO based on periodically poled lithium niobate pumped noncollinearly by CW Yb-doped fiber lasers. Our modeling, which neglects thermal lensing, is appropriate when the average power is kept low by chopping or pulsing the pump beams at a low duty cycle. The frequency-doubled output of a high-power passively Q-switched Nd:YAG microchip laser has been used to pump a KTP doubly resonant miniature monolithic Fabry-Perot (microchip) optical parametric oscillator (OPO). The OPO operated with 20% conversion efficiency, generating 8.4 /spl mu/J of 1.064-/spl mu/m radiation in 600-ps pulses, with excellent mode quality and pulse-to-pulse stability. This is the most compact OPO system yet demonstrated, generating the shortest pulses reported for an OPO pumped with Q-switched pulses. This technology makes it possible to obtain miniature optical system operating at any wavelength throughout the near IR, visible, and UV. 相似文献

Stimulated rotational Raman scattering in a 300 K multipass cell filled with para-H2 with a single-mode CO2 pump laser was studied using a single-mode OPO as a probe laser at the Stokes frequency for the So (0) transition. Amplification and pump depletion are examined as a function of incident pump energy. For an incident CO2 pump laser energy of 1.5 J, a photon conversion efficiency of 47 percent is observed. 相似文献

Calculations suggest that optical parametric oscillators (OPO's) can be efficiently pumped using multimode, divergent pump sources. The influence of pump beam divergence and mode structure upon OPO performance is measured for both noncritical phase-matching, and OPO's with walkoff. Multimode OPO pumping is shown to be efficient, provided appropriate nonlinear crystals and OPO cavities are employed; the nonlinear crystal must have sufficient angular acceptance to tolerate a divergent pump; the OPO cavity must support modes that match the divergence and spatial intensity characteristics of the pump, For low-order pump modes, the OPO can be made to match the mode of the pump. Higher order pump modes reduce the OPO efficiency, and cause a saturation of efficiency with increasing pump power. The efficiency is degraded in a similar fashion in the presence of walkoff. Multimode pumping is more difficult in longer OPO cavities due to increased buildup time of higher order OPO modes 相似文献

A pulsed singly resonant optical parametric oscillator (OPO) has been constructed which can provide tunable coherent radiation over the entire wavelength range extending from 354 nm in the near ultraviolet, throughout the visible, to 2.370 μm in the near infrared using a single β-BaB2O4 crystal. The oscillator is pumped at 308 nm by a pulsed narrow band injection-seeded XeCl excimer laser in a near-field pumping configuration, and energy conversion efficiencies (optical-to-optical) in excess of 10% have been obtained in a 12-nm-long crystal across the OPO tuning range. The requirements placed upon the spectral and spatial coherence of the pump laser for optimum OPO operation are discussed. 从傅里叶展开三波耦合波方程出发,对准相位匹配光学参量振荡进行了初步的理论分析,同时对准相位匹配周期极化掺镁铌酸锂微结构光学参量振荡进行了实验研究。通过改变微结构周期,实现了信号光从1.45~1.72 μm的输出,最小阈值为30 μJ。在温度30 ℃,抽运功率为300 mW,最大信号光输出功率为56 mW,斜率效率达18.7%。由于掺镁铌酸锂微结构抗光损伤性能显著提高,无需在高温下进行运转,使得掺镁铌酸锂微结构光学参量振荡器在常温条件下实现连续运转成为可能。与同成份铌酸锂微结构参量振荡器相比,结构更加紧凑,易于实现小型化。 相似文献
