The development of product design in a concurrent engineering environment requires the consideration and inclusion of life cycle factors early in the design process. This paper proposes a product design framework where these factors are considered. The phases of product design in a concurrent engineering environment include: design requirements, design functions, design alternatives, design attributes, and design environments. A five-step algorithm is proposed by which the optimal design alternative, among all the feasible alternatives, is selected. In order to illustrate the proposed framework, the design of a braking system is presented in each phase. A morphological approach to product design is proposed that consists of two related morphologies. Morphology 1 addresses the innovative aspect of product design. Morphology 2 considers the computational and optimisation aspect of product design. In conclusion, an integrated approach which reconciles both morphologies is suggested. 相似文献

A well-defined and flexible design chain reference model forms the basis for promoting collaborative design chain. The Special
Interest Group under the Design Chain Council proposed the design chain operations reference (DCOR) in an attempt to assist
enterprises building a design chain modeling frameworks. To date, DCOR version 1.0 only provides preliminary definitions,
such as those for major design procedures, and lacks an example of best practices in the industry. Additionally, few studies
have attempted this research issue. This study integrates the concepts of design chain, collaborative product design, and
collaborative product commerce in a proposed collaborative design chain operations reference model (CDCORM) based on DCOR
as a reference for developing a collaborative design chain system in the product lifecycle. The CDCORM consists of four hierarchical
levels: collaborative design chain business model; collaborative design chain cooperative model; collaborative design-chain
process model; and, a collaborative design chain operational model. Based on project management, the CDCORM has five core
procedures-product plan, concept design, detail design, design review, and design amend. This study also assesses the effectiveness
of the CDCORM by applying it to the motorcycle industry. In summary, this study extends the DCOR model and proposes a complete
collaborative design chain reference model and implements a system in the motorcycle industry as a case study. This case study

Due to the increasing amount and complexity of knowledge in product design, the know-ledge map based on design process is presented as a tool to reuse product design process, promote the product design knowledge sharing. The relationship between design task flow and knowledge flow is discussed; A knowledge organizing method based on design task decomposition and a visualization method to support the knowledge retrieving and sharing in product design are proposed. And a knowledge map system to manage the knowledge in product design process is built with Visual C++ and SVG. 为了在工程迭代设计中减少新产品开发的提前期,提出了一种基于设计结构矩阵的产品族开发过程模型.在该模型中,基于设计参数间的依赖关系建立设计结构矩阵,并运用路径搜索算法将其整理为包含耦合子矩阵的解耦矩阵.对于其中的耦合子矩阵,运用基于马尔可夫链的串行迭代模型计算设计总时间,并运用基因算法优化排序.运用迭代设计的并行模型识别出对耦合关系贡献大的设计模态和设计参数,根据设计模态模块化设计参数,而对耦合关系贡献小的设计参数进行标准化.最后,将设计参数层的标准化和模块化映射到零件层,建立相应的产品族结构,以汽车离合器的设计为例阐述了该过程模型的有效性和应用前景. 相似文献
