The response of a gridded 3He ionization chamber to monoenergetic neutrons has been calculated using a Monte Carlo approach. The effects of neutron scattering on detector materials, wall effects, recoil continua and background neutrons are included. The calculated results are smoothed according to a peak shape taken from experiment. Response functions in the energy range En < 1217 keV are compared to experimental data obtained with the 7Li(p, n)7Be reaction and to the detector efficiency derived from them.  相似文献

To obtain efficient upconversion laser glass, the optical properties of Tm3+ and Ho3+ were investigated in various glasses. Fluoride glass was selected as base glass for upconversion. The efficient upconversion fluorescences corresponding to the 1G43H6 and 3H43H6 transitions of Tm3+ and the 5S25I8 transition of Ho3+ were observed in Yb3+-Tm3+ and Yb3+-Ho3+ doped aluminozircofluoride glasses excited at 980 nm. The very stronge blue and green emission light can be observed visually. The upconversion processes observed were two-photon processes for 3F43H6, 5S25I8 transitions and three-photon processes for the 1G43H6 transition and can be described by a rate equation model. The energy transfer and energy back-transfer were analyzed in Yb3+-Tm3+ and Yb3+-Ho3+ systems. The relationship between emission intensity, pumping intensity and dopant concentrations is described using a rate equation model and shows good agreement with experiments. The dynamics of excited state ( ) is also analyzed with the diffusion-limited model based on Yokota-Tanimoto theory.  相似文献

Emission from the high lying excited states, energy transfer, and upconversion processes are investigated in YAlO3:Ho3+. Selectively excited emission spectra in the range from 300 to 800 nm starting from the 3D3, 3G5, 5F3, 5S2 and 5F5 multiplets were measured at 15 K. This, together with the detailed absorption and excitation measurements at 15 K allowed determination of the Stark energy levels of Ho3+ ions in YAlO3 up to UV energies. The 5S2 fluorescence decays were recorded as a function of temperature and Ho3+ concentration in order to investigate the process of quenching of fluorescence due to cross relaxation among two ions. Conversion of red and infrared laser radiation to green 5S2 and blue 5F3 emission is reported. Under pulsed resonant excitation of the 5F5 or 5I5 levels the upconversion was found to be due to energy transfer process between two excited ions. The photon avalanche effect was observed under cw excitation around 585 nm.  相似文献

用高温熔融法制备了Bi、Tm、Bi/Tm掺杂TiO2-BaO-SiO2-Ga2O3玻璃系统。在808 nm激光激发下, 与Tm单掺杂玻璃相比, Bi/Tm共掺玻璃中Tm3+3H43F4跃迁荧光(~1485 nm)得到了显著的增强, 而Tm3+3F43H6跃迁荧光(~1810 nm)减弱。在980 nm激光激发下, Tm单掺玻璃中没有观察到Tm离子的特征发光, 而在Bi/Tm共掺玻璃中观察到Tm3+3F43H6跃迁荧光(~1810 nm)。这是由于在808和980 nm激光二极管(LD)各自激发下, Bi/Tm共掺玻璃中活性Bi离子的近红外发光能量传递给Tm3+, 分别产生3F43H43H63H5跃迁所致。采用Inokuti-Hirayama模型, 分析了该玻璃体系中Bi→Tm的能量传递机理。结果表明, Bi→Tm的能量传递属于电偶极–偶极相互作用。  相似文献

We present experimental probabilities Pκ(θ) for target K-shell ionization in 1.26 MeV/u He → Te, Dy; N → In, Nd collisions up to very large scattering angles (θ 170°). The Pκ(θ) are nearly constant for θ > 10°. Groups of collision systems with about the same sum of projectile and target nuclear charge (ZP + ZT = united atom system) and collision velocity were s probabilities are within these groups of collision systems nearly proportional to the square of the projectile nuclear charge even up to Zp/ZT = 0.7. The calculations in the semiclassical approximation (SCA) by Trautmann et al. are compatible with the experimental results when the recoil effect is included and wave functions of the united atom system are used.  相似文献

The temperature dependencies of the nanosecond multiphonon relaxation (MR) rates of the 3F3 state of Tm3+ in the YLF crystal and of the 5F5 state of Ho3+ ion in the YAG and LuAG crystals and of the microsecond MR rates of the 4F9/2 (2H9/2) state of Er3+ ions in YLF were measured in the wide temperature range using direct laser excitation and selective fluorescence kinetics decay registration. For YLF the observed relations are explained by 4-phonon process in the frame of a single-frequency model with hωeff=450±30 cm−1 for the 3F3 state of Tm3+ and by 5-phonon process with hωeff=445 cm−1 for the 4F9/2 (2H9/2) state of Er3+. For YAG and LuAG crystals these dependencies are explained by the 3-phonon process with hωeff=630 cm−1. The decrease of the relaxation rate with the temperature in the range from 13 to 80 K was observed for the 4F9/2 (2H9/2) state of Er3+ in the YLF crystal. It is explained by the redistribution of excited electronic states population of erbium ions over the higher lying Stark levels with different MR probabilities. A good fit of experimental temperature dependence (including the dropping part of the experimental curve) was obtained for single-frequency model (hωeff=450 cm−1) with W01=8.0×104 s−1 and W02=4.7×104 s−1 accounting Boltzmann distribution of population over two excited Stark levels of the excited state of erbium ions. Employment of this model improves the fit between the experiment and the theory for the 5F5 state of Ho3+ ion in YAG as well. Strong influence of the parameters of the non-linear theory of MR, i.e. the reduced matrix elements U(k) of electronic transitions and the phonon factor of crystal matrix η on the spontaneous MR rates was observed experimentally. The smaller these parameters the slower the spontaneous MR W0. This fact can be used for searching new active crystal laser media for the mid-IR generation.  相似文献

为了提高中子探测效率, 以富集10B的H310BO3为原料, 通过提拉法生长了富集10B的Ce:Li6Lu(10BO3)3晶体。X射线激发发射光谱测试表明: 其发光峰位于360~480 nm, 属于Ce3+离子典型的5d - 4f跃迁发光, 其闪烁发光效率为BGO晶体的3.9倍。在350 nm紫外光和137Cs所发出的662 keV的γ射线激发下测得的衰减时间分别为21.0 ns 和31.7 ns, 在137Cs辐射源激发下所测得的相对光输出是CsI(Tl)晶体的20%, 能量分辨率为9.7%。在慢化252Cf中子源激发下可以观测到明显的中子全能峰, 其能量分辨率为33%。上述研究结果表明, Ce:Li6Lu(10BO3)3晶体具有较高的闪烁效率、快的衰减时间和良好的中子探测效率, 是一种具有应用前景的中子探测用闪烁晶体。  相似文献

The optical properties of the rare elements Tm3+, Ho3+ and Yb3+ were systematically investigated in various glasses. The Tm3+ doped aluminozircofluoride glass shows higher quantum efficiency, longer lifetime and stronger fluorescence intensity than Tm3+ doped YSGG crystal and other Tm3+ doped glasses for the 3H43H6 transition. Similar quantum efficiency, longer lifetime and stronger fluorescence intensity were also found in Ho3+ doped aluminozircofluoride glass for the 5I75I8 transition. The higher quantum efficiencies of Tm3+ and Ho3+ in aluminozircofluoride glass are due to the longer lifetime and the lower phonon energy. The fluorescence mechanisms and energy transfer in the Yb3+ -Tm3+ system, Yb3+ -Ho3+ system and Yb3+ - Tm3+ -Ho3+ system were studied. The very strong fluorescence intensities in the Yb3+ -Tm3+ system for Tm3+ and the Yb3+ -Tm3+ -Ho3+ system for Ho3+ which are 1.68 times that of Tm3+ doped YSGG crystal and 2.25 times that of Tm3+---Ho3+ codoped YSGG crystal are attributed to the efficient Yb3+ → Tm3+, Yb3+ → Ho3+ and Tm3+ → Ho3+ energy transfer processes. The fluorescence processes are described by cross relaxations of 2F5/23H53H43H62F7/2 and2F5/23H5 (or 2F5/25I63H5) → 3H45I75I83H62F7/2.  相似文献

The quantitative diagnostics of carbon arc during the process of carbon nanostructure formation is presented. Temperature within 3500-5500 K and concentration within 2*1015 - 2*1016 cm-2 of C2(a 3IIu, v=0) were determined upon input power and plasma coordinates at arc gap 0.5 ± 0.2 mm favoring the process yield. The total carbon vapor pressure in the discharge zone was estimated as equal to 30 kPa.  相似文献

采用水热法合成了Yb3+-Tm3+共掺BiOBr纳米晶, 研究了其上转换发光性能。在980 nm光激发下, 样品中Tm3+离子实现了3H43H61G43F41G43H6跃迁, 进而发出强烈的近红外光(801 nm)和较弱的红光(655 nm)与蓝光(485 nm)。探讨了样品的上转换发光机理, 上转换发光强度与激发功率的关系表明在980 nm激发下Tm3+的蓝光和红光发射为三光子过程, 而近红外发光为双光子过程。随着Yb3+浓度增加, 近红外发光显著增强, 近红外光与蓝光(I801 nm/I485 nm)的发光强度比高达71.4。研究结果表明, Yb3+-Tm3+共掺BiOBr纳米晶在生物荧光标记领域具有潜在的应用前景。  相似文献

结合籽晶法和添加矿化剂硝酸铵, 通过均相沉淀合成和后续煅烧实现了(Y, Eu)2O3单分散球形颗粒(直径范围110~550 nm)的可控合成。通过XRD、FE-SEM、TEM和PLE/PL分析等手段对产物进行了系统表征。发现采用籽晶法和添加矿化剂硝酸铵可以促进球形颗粒长大。碱式碳酸盐前驱体经600℃煅烧分解为立方晶(Y, Eu)2O3, 且经1000℃煅烧后(Y, Eu)2O3依然继承球形形貌特征。所得多晶(Y, Eu)2O3球形荧光颗粒在242 nm激发下于615 nm处呈现最强红色荧光发射(Eu3+5D07F2跃迁)。荧光粉的荧光性能呈现明显的尺寸依存性。增大球形颗粒尺寸减小了荧光寿命(1.15~1.57 ms)和荧光不对称因子[I(5D07F2)/I(5D07F1)], 但增强了荧光发射强度。  相似文献

ZnAl2O4:Cr3+ hollow spheres composed of secondary nanoparticles with single spinel phase were fabricated using carbon templets. Monitoring the emission of 687 nm, two wide excitation bands attributed to the electrons of Cr3+ transiting from 4A2g (4F) → 4T1g (4F) and 4A2g (4F) → 4T2g (4F) were observed. The broad excitation band at about 397 nm was asymmetric and consisted of two peaks, indicating that there was a trigonal distortion existing in the lattices. The intensity of all emitting peaks revealed sharp increasing trend with the sintering temperature increase, and the intensity of emission at 698 nm assigned to inversion defects was more intense than that of emission at 687 nm assigned to octahedral Cr3+ ions in the undistorted spinel lattice. The samples with higher synthesized temperature revealed longer decay time, and the relative weightage of shorter decay time component decreased with the increase of sintering temperature, indicating that the surface defects decreased.  相似文献

Three concepts for sources of ultra-cold neutrons (UCN) for the reactor FRM-II at Garching near Munich are studied: one, Mini-D2, is a source with 170 cm3 of solid deuterium in the beam tube SR4 and the second one a large solid-deuterium source (volume about 30 dm3), mounted in the beam tube SR5 as an advanced cold source with a number of neutron guides. The third one, Mark 3000, uses superfluid 4He at a cold-neutron guide. A UCN density of up to 7×104 cm−3 may possibly be achieved in the storage volumes of Mini-D2 yielding more than 109 UCN for extraction to an attached experimental setup. The usable UCN flux at the periphery of the large deuterium source is predicted to be 2×107 cm−2 s−1. Mark 3000, finally, is expected to yield a UCN density of about 105 cm−3.  相似文献

The luminescent quantum efficiency of Cr3+ ions in single fluoride crystal Cs2NaAlF6 was determined by using the simultaneous multiple-wavelength photoacoustic and luminescent experiments method, based on the generation of photoacoustic and luminescence signals after pulsed laser excitation. The luminescent quantum yield for the most important transition between the 4T24A2 vibronic levels was found to be 68±3%. This value agrees with that obtained from the ratio of the lifetimes of the corresponding transition at different temperatures.  相似文献

We report on the experimental results of frequency dependent a.c. conductivity and dielectric constant of SrTiO3 doped 90V2O5–10Bi2O3 semiconducting oxide glasses for wide ranges of frequency (500–104 Hz) and temperature (80–400 K). These glasses show very large dielectric constants (102–104) compared with that of the pure base glass (≈102) without SrTiO3 and exhibit Debye-type dielectric relaxation behavior. The increase in dielectric constant is considered to be due to the formation of microcrystals of SrTiO3 and TiO2 in the glass matrix. These glasses are n-type semiconductors as observed from the measurements of the thermoelectric power. Unlike many vanadate glasses, Long's overlapping large polaron tunnelling (OLPT) model is found to be most appropriate for fitting the experimental conductivity data, while for the undoped V2O5–Bi2O3 glasses, correlated barrier hopping conduction mechanism is valid. This is due to the change of glass network structure caused by doping base glass with SrTiO3. The power law behavior (σac=A(ωs) with s<1) is, however, followed by both the doped and undoped glassy systems. The model parameters calculated are reasonable and consistent with the change of concentrations (x).  相似文献

A new homemade are fullerene generator used in this experiment is reported. The comparation of yields of fullerenes (C60/C70 mixture) was studied by different power supplies (AC and DC), different gaps of two graphite rods and different He pressure between 0.4×104- 2.8×104 Pa. In our experiment, the highest yield up to 13% was achieved, when DC discharge was used and the optimum He pressure was near 0.8×104 - 1.6×104 Pa.

The mixed fullerene was analyzed by electron impact masa spectnun (EIMS). The relative amount af C60 to C70 was 4.2 to 1. After column chromatography aeperation with hexane on alumina, 99.9% Cso was obtained. FTIR and 1aC-NMR epectrum were ueed to characterize the pure C60 samples.  相似文献

A method is described for studying reactions at medium energies by measuring the magnetic rigidity, time of flight, and energy loss of the resulting recoil products. The method works best for reactions with two-body final states where one of the outgoing particles is relatively light. A magnetic spectrometer with a special focal plane detector has been used. The detector consists of two position sensitive parallel plate avalanche counters and two proportional counters. Differential cross sections for the 12C(p, π+13C reaction at recoil angles which correspond to the pion being emitted at a backward angle in the center of mass have been measured at bombarding energies of 166 and 186 MeV. Data were also obtained for previously unobserved 12C(p, π0)13N reaction. Several advantages of the method are discussed.  相似文献

Water soluble upconversion (UC) luminescence hexagonal-phase NaGdF4: Yb3+/Tm3+ nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized by the hydrothermal method. XRD, SEM, UC photoluminescence spectra and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectrum were used to characterize the nanoparticles. The intensity of UC emission region could be controlled through different sodium source and the fluorine source, 6PJ8S7/2 emission of Gd3+ is also observed at 310 nm. A broad spectrum with a dominant resonance at g of about 2 was observed by the EPR spectrum of the NaGdF4:Yb3+/Tm3+ nanoparticles. The transparent NaGdF4:Yb3+/Tm3+ solution presented naked eye-visible violet-blue light under the 980 nm LD excitation. The current work paves the way for their potential application in infrared tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).  相似文献

The feasibility of in-beam polarization of nuclear spin in F+ beams was studied. It was demonstrated that metastable atomic fluorine could be optically pumped on the closed transition (3s 4P5/2→3p 4D7/2) at 686 nm. The metastable production efficiency in sodium vapor was measured using optical depopulation pumping of the metastable on the (3s 4P5/2→3p 4D5/2) transition at 678 nm. At low helium density, 0.24 (+0.16/−0.03) of the reionized beam was derived from metastables, implying an ion beam polarization of 24% would be feasible if the metastables were fully polarized. The hyperfine structures of the 3s 4P5/2, 3p 4D5/2 and 3p 4D7/2 states in 19F were measured via laser-induced fluorescence and modulated optical depopulation pumping. Based on these results, a scheme is suggested for polarizing 20F.  相似文献
