In this letter, a novel antenna with a miniaturized aperture is proposed. The substrate including a split-ring resonator array is inserted into a size-reduced open-ended waveguide. For a low return loss and high radiation efficiency, the ring arrangement is optimized, and a stepped transition using H-plane discontinuity is proposed. The proposed antenna achieves a 70% aperture reduction compared to a conventional standard waveguide antenna of WR-187 (47.6 mm×22.2 mm). The return loss drops significantly at three frequencies, and a reasonable gain is achieved. The aperture-miniaturized antenna can be used in many antenna applications such as near-field measurement. 相似文献

介绍了一种新颖的微带三模谐振器,由该谐振器构成的微带滤波器具有较宽的通带以及较好的带外抑制。对传统的单模微带环形谐振器结构进行优化,使谐振器在通带内具有三个谐振点,并且在通带边缘有四个对称衰减极点。引入的阶梯阻抗谐振单元使得微带三模谐振器具有良好的带外抑制。依据传输线原理对宽阻带三模谐振器进行了分析,并完成了中心频率为1090 MHz的宽阻带带通滤波器设计和加工,其实际测试结果与软件仿真结果具有良好的一致性。 相似文献

This study presents a compact coplanar-waveguide (CPW) parallel-coupled bandpass filter (BPF) with good selectivity and stopband rejection. The inductive terminations are introduced to the conventional anti-parallel coupled-lines, and lumped-element J-inverters are employed, to achieve both size reduction and spurious suppression. Additionally, the inductive cross-coupling effect is introduced to obtain two transmission zeros to enhance the selectivity. Suitable equivalent-circuit model is also established as effective design tool. Specifically, this work demonstrates a compact cross-coupled fourth-order BPF in grounded-CPW configuration. A microstrip-to-coplanar waveguide broadside-coupled section is used to replace a 34-section of the conventional dual-mode 1-ring resonator filter for circuit area miniaturization. It is believed that it is a new idea to incorporate the broadside-coupled section into a ring resonator filter for size reduction. For design purpose, some important characteristics of the broadside-coupled lines are investigated. In experiments, two realized circuits show only 19.4% of the area of a uniform ring. This article presents the design and analysis of conformal circular monopole antenna with split ring resonator to get frequency notch characteristics in the wideband. Split ring resonators placed on one side of the substrate and complementary split ring resonators placed on the other side of the substrate at defected ground structure, which yields the frequency notch characteristics with respect to the microstrip feeding. Dual notch band characteristics are obtained between 4–4.3 and 7.3–8.1 GHz. The analyzed conformal characteristic of the antenna supports excellent constant reflection coefficient characteristics over the band at different angles. The impedance and radiation characteristics of the antenna model is analysed in simulation along with unit cell analysis of the SRR and the measured results are providing good agreement with them. 相似文献

This paper deals with a dual-mode ring resonator fed by quarter-wavelength side-coupled lines. The resonator synthesis was developed so as to fix the central frequency, bandwidth, and transmission zeros frequencies, as well as the insertion loss in the passband. Based on this resonator, several bandpass filters were designed, which include the cascaded rings and the combination of such ring resonator with coupled line sections. Simulations are proposed throughout the paper to illustrate the various possibilities offered by the concept. Input/output lines and ring resonator are directly connected to obtain tight coupling, and an open-end stub is inserted for dual-mode operation.
