When three-dimensional optical topometry of technical surfaces is performed, one major problem is that often the local reflectance of the object's surface varies within a wide range. This leads to overexposed and underexposed areas on the detector, where no measurements can be made. To overcome this problem, we have developed a method that extends the dynamic range of an imaging system. As an example we implemented this method to a measurement system that is based on fringe projection with a data projector and a color CCD camera. By projection of quasi-monochromatic fringes a different dynamic range in each of the three color channels of the camera is achieved. Hence the overall dynamic range of the system is increased by a factor larger than 5.  相似文献

A simple but effective fringe projection profilometry is proposed to measure 3D shape by using one snapshot color sinusoidal fringe pattern. One color fringe pattern encoded with a sinusoidal fringe (as red component) and one uniform intensity pattern (as blue component) is projected by a digital video projector, and the deformed fringe pattern is recorded by a color CCD camera. The captured color fringe pattern is separated into its RGB components and division operation is applied to red and blue channels to reduce the variable reflection intensity. Shape information of the tested object is decoded by applying an arcsine algorithm on the normalized fringe pattern with subpixel resolution. In the case of fringe discontinuities caused by height steps, or spatially isolated surfaces, the separated blue component is binarized and used for correcting the phase demodulation. A simple and robust method is also introduced to compensate for nonlinear intensity response of the digital video projector. The experimental results demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.  相似文献

A new method of 3D measurement based on a digital light processing (DLP) projector is presented. The projection model of the DLP projector is analyzed, and the relationship between the fringe patterns of the DLP and the fringe strips projected into the 3D space is proposed. Then the 3D shape of the object can be obtained by this relationship. Meanwhile a calibration method for this model is presented. Using this calibration method, parameters of the model can be obtained by a calibration plate, and there is no requirement for the plate to move precisely. This new 3D shape measurement method does not require any restrictions as that in the classical methods. The camera and projector can be put in an arbitrary position, and it is unnecessary to arrange the system layout in parallel, vertical, or other stringent geometry conditions. The experiments show that this method is flexible and is easy to carry out. The system calibration can be finished quickly, and the system is applicable to many shape measurement tasks.  相似文献

A real-time tricolor phase measuring profilometry (RTPMP) based on charge coupled device (CCD) sensitivity calibration is proposed. Only one colour fringe pattern whose red (R), green (G) and blue (B) components are, respectively, coded as three sinusoidal phase-shifting gratings with an equivalent shifting phase of 2π/3 is needed and sent to an appointed flash memory on a specialized digital light projector (SDLP). A specialized time-division multiplexing timing sequence actively controls the SDLP to project the fringe patterns in R, G and B channels sequentially onto the measured object in one over seventy-two of a second and meanwhile actively controls a high frame rate monochrome CCD camera to capture the corresponding deformed patterns synchronously with the SDLP. So the sufficient information for reconstructing the three-dimensional (3D) shape in one over twenty-four of a second is obtained. Due to the different spectral sensitivity of the CCD camera to RGB lights, the captured deformed patterns from R, G and B channels cannot share the same peak and valley, which will lead to lower accuracy or even failing to reconstruct the 3D shape. So a deformed pattern amending method based on CCD sensitivity calibration is developed to guarantee the accurate 3D reconstruction. The experimental results verify the feasibility of the proposed RTPMP method. The proposed RTPMP method can obtain the 3D shape at over the video frame rate of 24 frames per second, avoid the colour crosstalk completely and be effective for measuring real-time changing object.  相似文献

The use of an optical fringe projection method with two-step phase shifting for three-dimensional (3-D) shape measurement of small objects is described. In this method, sinusoidal linear fringes are projected onto an object's surface by a programmable liquid-crystal display (LCD) projector and a long-working-distance microscope (LWDM). The image of the fringe pattern is captured by another LWDM and a CCD camera and processed by a phase-shifting technique. Usually a minimum of three phase-shifted fringe patterns is necessary for extraction of the object shape. In this method, a new algorithm based on a two-step phase-shifting technique produces the 3-D object shape. Unlike in the conventional method, phase unwrapping is performed directly by use of an arccosine function without the need for a wrapped phase map. Hence, shape measurement can be speeded up greatly with this approach. A small coin is evaluated to demonstrate the validity of the proposed measurement method, and the experimental results are compared with those of the four-step phase-shifting method and the conventional mechanical stylus method.  相似文献

Characteristics of the fringe pattern detected by an electronic speckle pattern interferometer, in conditions in which a test object deforms in an arbitrary direction and the speckle intensity is detected over a pixel area in the TV camera to be used, have been investigated from two aspects: speckle noise reduction and fringe contrast. The main result is that the fringes are obtained with high contrast and low speckle noise, if the speckle size is selected by the optical system so as to be smaller than the pixel size. This result is applicable to highly accurate measurements of the out-of-plane displacements of the test object, whose in-plane displacement is small.  相似文献

A microscopic three-dimensional (3-D) shape measurement system based on digital fringe projection has been developed and experimentally investigated. A Digital Micromirror Device along with its illumination optics is integrated into a stereomicroscope, which projects computer-generated fringe patterns with a sinusoidal intensity profile through the microscope objective onto the object surface being measured. The fringe patterns deformed by the object surface are recorded by a CCD camera. The microscopic 3-D shape of the object surface is measured and reconstructed by use of a phase-shifting technique. We discuss design considerations and error analysis of the system. Experimental results successfully demonstrate the capability of this technique for surface profile measurement of rough surfaces at the micrometer level.  相似文献

A high resolution new fringe analysis method for ESPI with only one camera is proposed by using features of speckle interferometry in a deformation process of a measured object. The profile of intensity of each speckle of the speckle patterns in the deformation process is analyzed by the Hilbert transform. A virtual speckle pattern for creating a carrier fringe image is produced artificially by using the information of profiles of intensities of speckles. The deformation map of the measured object can be detected by the virtual speckle pattern in an operation based on the spatial fringe analysis method. Experimental results show that the difference between the results by the new and the ordinary methods is 0.1 rad as standard deviation. From the results, it is confirmed that the high resolution measurement can be performed by this method the same as compared to the ordinary measurement method which needs to employ three speckle patterns.  相似文献

A camera based on the digital micromirror device (DMD) technology has been previously developed. In this optical system, the correspondence of each mirror of the DMD to each pixel of the CCD cannot readily be done since the pixel sizes of the DMD and the CCD are very small. An accurate pixel-to-pixel correspondence adjustment in the DMD camera by means of the phase-shifting moiré method is proposed. To perform high accurate adjustment of the optical system, the phase distribution of a moiré fringe pattern is analyzed when the CCD pixels and the DMD mirrors have a mismatch and/or misalignment with each other. This technique does not need a complicated setting or complex image processing to generate the moiré fringe pattern, and it needs only one captured image. In the adjustment experiment, the proposed method provided very accurate adjustment whose error was less than 1/25 pixel. An experiment of phase analysis to demonstrate the usefulness was performed.  相似文献

Three-dimensional shape measurements by sinusoidal fringe projection using phase-shifting interferometry algorithms are distorted by the nonlinear response in intensity of commercial video projectors and digital cameras. To solve the problem, we present a method that consists in projecting and acquiring a temporal sequence of strictly binary patterns, whose (adequately weighted) average leads to a sinusoidal fringe pattern with the required number of bits. Since binary patterns consist of "ones" and "zeros"--and no half-tones are involved--the nonlinear response of the projector and the camera will not play a role, and a nearly unit contrast gray-level sinusoidal fringe pattern is obtained. Existing methods to measure 3D shape of complex object involve processing more than six captured images to obtain the absolute phase, which limit the measurement speed. This paper presents two sinusoidal fringes and two triangular wave fringes which is used to measure 3D shape of complex object. The two-step phase-shifting sinusoidal fringes and two-step phase-shifting triangular wave fringes are calculated to obtain the wrapped phase, and then the two-step phase-shifting triangular wave fringes are used to determine the fringe order. Due to decrease the number of projection fringes, the speed of measurement increases. The triangular wave fringe carries more information of the object than linear increasing/decreasing ramp fringe in the actual measurement, more noise in the base phase to be overcome, thus improving the measurement accuracy. The benefits can be widely applied in high-speed, real-time 3D measurement of complex shape. Experimental results have demonstrated that the proposed method is simple, but effective.  相似文献

Our aim is to develop a method for obtaining the reflectance spectra of samples in the near-infrared (NIR) region (800-1,000 nm) by using a small number of measurements performed with a conventional CCD camera (multispectral imaging). We experimentally determined the spectral sensitivity of the CCD camera in the NIR range, used a method based on principal component analysis to reconstruct the spectral reflectance of the samples, and analyzed the number and shape of the filters that need tobe used to apply this method. Finally we obtained the reflectance spectra of a set of 30 spectral curves by numerical simulation. The small amount of errors in the spectral reconstruction shows the potential of this method for reconstructing spectral reflectances in the NIR range.  相似文献

Abstract: We present a new method that combines the fringe projection and the digital image correlation (DIC) techniques on a single hardware platform to simultaneously measure both shape and deformation fields of three‐dimensional (3‐D) surfaces with complex geometries. The method in its basic form requires only a single camera and single projector, but this can be easily extended to a multi‐camera multi‐projector system to obtain complete 360° measurements. Multiple views of the surface profile and displacement field are automatically co‐registered in a unified global coordinate system, thereby avoiding the significant errors that can arise through the use of statistical point cloud stitching techniques. Experimental results from a two‐camera two‐projector sensor are presented and compared with results from both a standard stereo‐DIC approach and a finite element model.  相似文献

This paper presents a pseudo Wigner-Ville-distribution-based method in fringe projection for analyzing temporal behavior of the displacement derivative for a continuously deformed object. In the proposed method, a computer generated fringe pattern is projected on an object undergoing dynamic deformation, and the reflected intensity is recorded in the form of video, i.e., a stack of images are captured sequentially by a CCD camera. Each image represents a recorded fringe pattern at a particular time instant whose phase contains information about the instantaneous out-of-plane displacement or deformation with respect to the undeformed object, and the corresponding spatial phase derivative relates to the displacement derivative. Subsequently, pseudo Wigner-Ville distribution is used for instantaneous phase derivative estimation from the stack of images. Simulation and experimental results are presented to demonstrate the method's potential.  相似文献

An off-axis null Ronchi test is presented to measure the three-dimensional (3D) shape of a large-aperture aspheric mirror. The method designs curved fringe patterns as null sinusoidal gratings by means of phase information and ray tracing. In the process of measurement, the curved fringe patterns are displayed on a transmission-type liquid crystal display (T-LCD) screen, and a CCD camera records the fringe patterns containing the information of deviations of the mirror. The slopes of the deviations of the mirror are obtained by using the recorded fringe patterns. The deviations are restored by integrating, and then the 3D shape of the mirror can be reconstructed. Compared with the classical null Ronchi test, the method can provide enough measured data points and avoid the jagged edges of bands on the null gratings. Moreover, the method can conveniently change period and direction of the curved fringes and accurately control phase shifting. Computer simulations and a preliminary experiment are presented to show the performance of the method.  相似文献

In fringe projection, the CCD camera and the projector are often placed at equal height. In this paper, we will study the calibration of an unequal arrangement of the CCD camera and the projector. The principle of fringe projection with two-dimensional digital image correlation to acquire the profile of object surface is described in detail. By formula derivation and experiment, the linear relationship between the out-of-plane calibration coefficient and the y coordinate is clearly found. To acquire the three-dimensional (3D) information of an object correctly, this paper presents an effective calibration method with linear least-squares fitting, which is very simple in principle and calibration. Experiments are implemented to validate the availability and reliability of the calibration method.  相似文献

提出了一种用于采集含空间孤立物体场景的高速、高密度三维面形采集方法。该方法将三幅图案高速投影到被测物体上并同步采集图像,从而实现场景三维形貌及纹理的高速记录。其中两幅图案是互相具有π相移的正弦条纹,采用傅里叶变换法求解变形条纹相位。将拍摄到的两幅变形条纹图相加可得到物体表面纹理。另一幅图案用来确定条纹级次,实现绝对相位测量,解决高速形貌采集中孤立物体相位展开难题。它由一系列宽度与正弦条纹周期相同的竖条构成,采用三种灰度对竖条编码。每个竖条由单一灰度或两种在竖直方向上周期性分布的灰度构成,这样可编6个码。将竖条按由这些码构成的伪随机序列排列,得到编码图案。测量时,对拍摄的编码图案解码,通过子序列匹配来确定对应正弦条纹的级次。设计了采用DLP投影仪及高速摄像机的高速测量系统。采用提出的方法实现了640×480分辨率下每秒60帧和320×240分辨率下每秒120帧的三维形貌及纹理采集。  相似文献

An approach for sensing a three-dimensional (3D) object surface with an arbitrary geometric shape is presented. Combining two different 3D sensing mechanisms, point-array encoding based on affine transformation and fringe encoding based on phase mapping, we construct a mathematic model for 3D vision in which the point-array encoding is initially applied to determine the fringe orders to create a control-vertex mesh with absolute coordinate values in 3D space. Then phase evaluation and phase unwrapping for fringe decoding is performed under the guidance of control-vertex mesh, leading to an absolute phase map and the corresponding range image of the test object. The computer simulations and experimental results are presented to demonstrate the theoretical prediction.  相似文献
