In this study, the effect of sodium dodecyl sulfonate (SDS), as a well-known flotation collector, on talc grinding was investigated using a statistical design in terms of solids%, pH, grinding time, and SDS dosage taking the d80 of the ground product as a response. The results indicated that the factors under study significance order were grinding time > solids% > SDS dosage > pH. In addition, the interactions between solids % and the grinding time and between the solids% and SDS dosage significantly affected the product d80. More interestingly, the presence of SDS not only improves the grinding process at short grinding times but also it enhances the grinding at higher pH values. The optimum conditions for talc grinding are similar in the absence or presence of SDS in terms of factors under study, except for solids%. The vital role of SDS, as a grinding aid, is the production of particles with the same fineness or even finer at higher solids % which leads to an increase in the mill throughput. The smallest d80 was obtained at 60% solids, 60 min, pH 4, and 2 kg t−1 of SDS. 相似文献

The forming mechanism of microemulsion of sodium dodecyl sulfonate.alcohols,water and isooctane was studied,with particular emphasis on the effect of molecular weight and concentration of alocohols.Phase diagram of the four components,alcohol, sodium dodecyl sulfonate,water and isooctane,was used as a means of study,through which the microemulsion regions were determined.Phase diagram of sodium dodecyl sulfonate/n-pentanol/isooctane/water system at km=2(km=Wn-pentanol/WSDS)is presented. The variation of conductivities of different microemulsion samples with water was measured.From the conductivities we investigated a change in structure from water droplets in oil(W/O)at low water content to liquid crystal at intermediate water content and a structure of oil droplets in water(O/W)at high water content. 相似文献

The influences of different kinds of electrolytes on sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate microemulsions were investigated in this work. Electrolyte cations had a strong influence on the microemulsion phase behavior. The higher the valence of the cation was, the stronger the influence of the electrolyte on the microemulsion phase inversion and the higher the optimum solubilization parameters, ordered as AlCl3 > MgCl2 > NH4Cl > KCl > NaCl. The anion in electrolytes showed a relatively weak influence. The influences of anions with equal valence are almost the same for sodium salts, and a lower valence had a stronger impact on microemulsion phase inversion, ordered as Cl? > CO32? = SO42? > PO43?. The change of anions in sodium salts had little influence on the optimum solubilization parameters , all in the range of 5.301 ± 0.105 goil/gsurfactant. The efficiency ratio of electrolytes was defined based on the cationic charge concentration in mol/l. The efficiency ratios for electrolytes with monovalent cations were inversely proportional to (1 + Zi), where Zi is the anion valence, but this was not true for electrolytes with higher valence cations. For a microemulsion using electrolyte mixtures, the efficiency ratio shows a linear relationship with that of the component salts and the composition of the mixture. 相似文献
