Abstract: Recent developments in a subarea of computer science called artificial intelligence have included the creation of expert systems that are capable of solving difficult applications problems which require expert knowledge for their solution. Such expert systems have been found to be useful in a number of applications (e.g. medicine, biochemistry and mineral exploration). In this paper the author presents an expert system for solving problems concerning income and transfer tax planning for individuals In developing this system, a theoretical structure and a set of decision rules were specified and then programmed into a rule-based system that had previously been used for medical diagnosis (Mycin [1]) Once the system was developed, its problem-solving capabilities were refined and verified by a panel of tax experts using a blind verification procedure. This verification step demonstrated that an expert system could be developed in that domain.  相似文献

Expert systems is a rapidly developing application of artificial intelligence technology for the capture and dissemination of human knowledge. A number of very practical implementations of knowledge bases have been achieved, using program shells which are quite accessible by people other than programmers. Since college business students have a high probability of encountering expert systems in the workplace, it is appropriate that their curriculum expose them to this expanding arena. For quite some time, the research in artificial intelligence has focused on expert systems, because here are to be found practical applications at the experimental stage which may soon become widespread. This focus makes more pressing the need to link the debate about the fundamental efficiency of artificial intelligence with those activities that aim at the application of specialized expert systems. In this paper, I begin by considering the stages and the development of human expertise. As a frame of reference I propose a polar dialectic model of the development of human acting and thinking that explicitly deals with the interplay of calculating rationality and intuition. This suggests the use of expert systems as decision aids particularly in the field of maintenance work on the shop-floor. With regard to this case, some theses concerning the human-centred shaping of technology and work are presented.  相似文献

Abstract: It is generally accepted that there has been an increasing interest in online fault detection and diagnosis techniques for technical processes during the last few years. These techniques come from the artificial intelligence field or are classical numerical methods in combination with artificial intelligence methods. This paper presents a survey of recent research work in online expert systems for fault detection and diagnosis in technical processes. In addition, a short reference to other recent artificial intelligence methods for online fault detection is included and the main advantages and limitations of each method are illustrated.  相似文献

There are many opportunities in terms of theoretical research and practical applications. The versatility of the industrial engineering profession seems to be particularly agreeable with the vast potentials of expert systems. The advent of expert systems has led to the development of advanced computer systems in areas of medicine, geology, mathematics, chemistry, vision, speech and electronics. The recent acceptance of artificial intelligence as an appropriate technology for military applications has evolved into the development of a number of defense related expert systems. This paper reviews several military applications of expert systems in the areas of advanced visual target recognition, autonomous tactical vehicles, and combat pilot aid systems. 本文研究并实现了一个基于人工神经元网络的控制系统模型简化的专家系统(简称为ESOMRT)。该系统适用于专家和非专家用户,能够针对更体的连续和离散时间的高阶控制系统模型和简化要求选择合适的简化方法,并可对简化质量从时域和频域方面进行评估。在构造这个系统的过程中,作者提出了智能数据库的概念,使用了过程型和人工神经元网络方法相结合的知识表达方式,并利用神经元网络的再学习机制实现了斗自动知识获取,该系统具有三种工作模式和友好的人机界面,使系统的智能水平比较高并有实用价值,现已在IBM-PC/XT和386机上运行。  相似文献

With the wide availability of expert system building tools, more and more expert systems have been built, and many of them are developed by noncomputer professionals. An important task for researchers in applied artificial intelligence is to find a way for an integrated use of these systems. In this paper, an approach to building an environment for conceptual integration of expert systems is discussed. 在医疗领域中,基因芯片技术等高效核酸分析手段不断发展,使得临床诊断与医学研究中能够利用这一技术获取大量与肿瘤生成相关的基因信息。同时,近年来随着机器学习理论与技术的不断发展与应用,在各领域内出现了大量基于人工智能技术的专家系统。针对基因芯片信息的特点,描述了一种肿瘤辅助诊断专家系统的设计思路与实现方案;讨论了在专家系统实现过程中所采用的关键数据挖掘技术;重点叙述了系统的结构框架、工作机制与辅助诊断原理。在实验中,展示了临床获得的医疗数据在所论述系统中的测试结果。实验结果表明所论述的系统实现方案能够在一定程度上满足辅助诊断的需求。  相似文献
