Esterel is a synchronous design language for the specification of reactive systems. There exist two main semantics for Esterel. On the one hand, the logical behavioral semantics provides a simple and compact formalization of the behavior of programs using SOS rules. But it does not ensure deterministic executions for all programs and all inputs. As non-deterministic programs have to be rejected as incorrect, this means it defines behaviors for incorrect programs, which is not convenient. On the other hand, the constructive semantics is deterministic (amongst other properties) but at the expense of a much more complex formalism. In this work, we construct and thoroughly analyze a new deterministic semantics for Esterel that retains the simplicity of the logical behavioral semantics, from which it derives. In our view, it provides a much better framework for formal reasoning about Esterel programs.  相似文献

Over the past decades, soft lithography has greatly facilitated the development of microfluidics due to its simplicity and cost-effectiveness. Besides, numerous fabrication techniques such as multi-layer photolithography, stereolithography and other methods have been developed to fabricate moulds with complex 3D structures nowadays. But these methods are usually not beneficial for microfluidic applications either because of low resolution or sophisticated fabrication procedures. Besides, high-resolution methods such as two-photon lithography, electron-beam lithography, and focused ion beam are often restricted by fabrication speed and total fabricated volume. Nonetheless, the region of interest in typical microfluidic devices is usually very small while the rest of the structure does not require complex 3D fabrication methods. Herein, conventional photolithography and two-photon polymerization are combined for the first time to form a simple hybrid approach in fabricating master moulds for soft lithography. It not only benefits from convenience of photolithography, but also gives rise to complex 3D structures with high resolution based on two-photon polymerization. In this paper, various tests have been conducted to further study its performance, and a passive micromixer has been created as a demonstration for microfluidic applications.  相似文献

Concurrent techniques have been widely adopted in software systems, and data race has become a great threat to stability and security of concurrent systems. Previous precise race detection techniques either may miss many races, or are only suitable for some specific programs, such as the programs executed in a virtual machine rather than in actual hardware. To solves these problems, this paper introduces a dynamic predictive race detector, called LayDetect, which detects predictable races in C/C++ programs. LayDetect applies an innovative layering technique, which can detect more races than other detectors, such as FastTrack. We have implemented and evaluated LayDetect with well-known benchmarks and real-world applications. LayDetect has detected 3.7 M races at run-time which is more than that of FastTrack by two orders of magnitude, while the average slowdown (3.0\(\times \)) and space overhead (34.1 MB) of LayDetect are similar to that of FastTrack.  相似文献

Database query languages and their use for programming nontraditional applications, such as engineering and artificial intelligence applications, are discussed. In such environments, database programs are used to code applications that work over large data sets residing in databases. Optimizing such programs then becomes a necessity. An examination is made of various optimization techniques, and transformations are suggested for improving the performance of database programs. These transformations result in new equivalent database programs with better space and time performance. IPv4协议最终将被IPv6协议所取代,但目前基于IPv6协议的应用研究还处于初始阶段。本文分析了FTP协议对IPv6协议的支持情况,提出了一种Linux环境下基于IPv6协议的FTP服务器实现方案。对实现的FTP服务器进行了测试,利用Sniffer软件进行了抓包分析。实验表明,该FTP服务器完全支持IPv6协议,并能实现用户登录、密码验证、文件列表传送、文件下载、文件上传、文件删除等功能。  相似文献

Only two Java viruses are known and have been published as a proof-of-concept: StrangeBrew and BeanHive. Since then the Java programming language has matured and greatly evolved to include a large number of new, sophisticated functionalities. At the same time, no serious study has been conducted to assess the potential viral risk attached to the new Java language. The potential threats have not really been explored yet. This article presents the state-of-the-art of Java viral capabilities and identifies some new techniques specific to the Java features that could be efficiently used by an attacker to spread malicious codes by means of Java classes. While this paper primarily focuses on targeting Java applications and not applets, the latter case will nonetheless be addressed among the different ways an actual attack could be launched by means of Java malicious codes. Many critical real-time applications are implemented as time-triggered systems. We present a systematic way to derive such time-triggered implementations from algorithms specified as functional programs (in which form their correctness and fault-tolerance properties can be formally and mechanically verified with relative ease). The functional program is first transformed into an untimed synchronous system and, then, to its time-triggered implementation. The first step is specific to the algorithm concerned, but the second is generic and we prove its correctness. This proof has been formalized and mechanically checked with the PVS verification system. A new and powerful approach to threading is proposed, that is designed to improve the responsiveness of concurrent logic programs for distributed, real-time AI applications. The technique builds on previously proposed scheduling techniques to improve responsiveness by synchronously passing control and data directly from a producer to a consumer. Furthermore, synchronous transfer of data requires less buffering and so less garbage is produced. Arguments are also passed in registers, further reducing overheads.  相似文献
