Polyimide (PI) composites containing one-dimensional SiC nanowires grown on two-dimensional graphene sheets (1D–2D SiCNWs-GSs) hybrid fillers were successfully prepared. The PI/SiCNWs-GSs composites synchronously exhibited high thermal conductivity and retained electrical insulation. Moreover, the heat conducting properties of PI/SiCNWs-GSs films present well reproducibility within the temperature range from 25 to 175 °C. The maximum value of thermal conductivity of PI composite is 0.577 W/mK with 7 wt% fillers loading, increased by 138% in comparison with that of the neat PI. The 1D SiC nanowires grown on the GSs surface prevent the GSs contacting with each other in the PI matrix to retain electrical insulation of PI composites. In addition, the storage modulus and Young’s modulus of PI composites are remarkably improved in comparison with that of the neat PI.  相似文献

SiCp/TiNif/Al composite with 20 Vol.% TiNi fibers were fabricated by pressure infiltration method. The effect of volume fraction of SiC particle on the mechanical properties and damping capacity of the composite were studied. Four different volume fractions of SiC particle in the composite were 0%, 5%, 20% and 35% respectively. The microstructure and damping capacity of the composites was studied by SEM and DMA respectively. As the gliding of dislocation in the Al matrix was hindered by SiC particle, the yield strength and elastic modulus of the composites increased, while the elongation decreased with the increase in volume fraction of SiC particle. Furthermore, the damping capacity of the composites at room temperature was decreased when the mount of strain was more than 1 × 10−4. In the heating process, the damping peak at the temperature of 135 °C was attributed to the reverse martensitic transformation from B19′ to B2 in the TiNi fibers.  相似文献

Conductive polymer composites (CPCs) that contain a segregated structure have attracted significant attentions because of their promising for fulfilling low filler contents with high electromagnetic interference (EMI) properties. In the present study, segregated poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) composites were successfully prepared by mechanical mixing and hot compaction. The PVDF/MWCNTs samples with 7 wt% filler content possess high electrical conductivities and high EMI shielding effectiveness (SE), reaching 0.06 S cm−1 and 30.89 dB (in the X-band frequency region), much higher than lots of reported results for CNT-based composites. And the EMI SE greatly increased across the frequency range as the sample thickness was improved from 0.6 to 3.0 mm. The EMI shielding mechanisms were also investigated and the results demonstrated absorption dominating shielding mechanism in this segregated material. This effective preparation method is simple, low-cost, and environmentally-friendly and has potential industrial applications in the future.  相似文献

NiAl matrix self-lubricating composites with MoS2 and Ti3SiC2 lubricants were prepared by spark plasma sintering. The tribological behaviors of the NiAl–Ti3SiC2–MoS2 composites against Si3N4 were investigated from room temperature to 800 °C. The results showed that the composites exhibited excellent self-lubricating and anti-wear properties over a wide temperature range. At 400 °C, the composites containing 5Ti3SiC2–5MoS2 (wt.%) had a very low friction coefficient of about 0.13 and a low wear rate of 4.5 × 10−5 mm3 N−1 m−1. MoS2 played the main role of lubrication at low temperatures, while Ti3SiC2 was responsible for low friction at high temperatures. Ti3SiC2 and MoS2 lubricants in the NiAl–Ti3SiC2–MoS2 composites showed the excellent synergetic lubricating effect over a wide temperature range from room temperature to 800 °C.  相似文献

Tension–tension fatigue properties of SiC fiber reinforced Ti–6Al–4V matrix composite (SiCf/Ti–6Al–4V) at room temperature were investigated. Fatigue tests were conducted under a load-controlled mode with a stress ratio 0.1 and a frequency 10 Hz under a maximum applied stress ranging from 600 to 1200 MPa. The relationship between the applied stress and fatigue life was determined and fracture surfaces were examined to study the fatigue damage and fracture failure mechanisms using SEM. The results show that, the fatigue life of the SiCf/Ti–6Al–4V composite decreases substantially in proportion to the increase in maximum applied stress. Moreover, in the medium and high life range, the relationship between the maximum applied stress and cycles to failure in the semi-logarithmic system could be fitted as a linear equation: Smax/μ = 1.381  0.152 × lgNf. Fractographic analysis revealed that fatigue fracture surfaces consist of a fatigued region and a fast fracture region. The fraction of the fatigued region with respect to the total fracture surface decreases with the increase of the applied maximum stresses.  相似文献

Dry sliding tribological behaviors of TiAl matrix self-lubricating composites (TMSC) containing varying amounts of Ag, Ti3SiC2 and BaF2/CaF2 eutectic (BaF2–38 wt.%CaF2) (ATBC) with weight ratio of 1:1:1 against Si3N4 from room temperature (RT) to 600 °C at the condition of 10 N–0.234 m/s were experimentally studied. The results implied that the ATBC could improve friction-reducing and anti-wear ability of TMSC over an extreme range of operating temperatures, which was attributed to the synergetic effect of Ag, Ti3SiC2 and BaF2/CaF2 lubricants. In addition, TMSC containing 9 wt.% ATBC exhibited the best tribological properties over the wide temperature range from RT to 600 °C.  相似文献

In order to obtain the composites with the integration of structural and functional properties, Ti3SiC2 is introduced into C/SiC due to its excellent damage tolerance and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding properties. C/SiC–Ti3SiC2 has the lower tensile strength, while the higher compressive strength than C/SiC. The penetration energy of C/SiC–Ti3SiC2 in the impact experiment is improved at least three times than that of C/SiC, resulting from the improved damage tolerance. With the introduction of Ti3SiC2, the EMI shielding effectiveness increases from 31 to 41 dB in X‐band (8.2 to 12.8 GHz) due to the increase of electrical conductivity. C/SiC–Ti3SiC2 reveals the great potential as structural and functional materials based on the multi‐functional properties.

Three groups of SiCf/Ti/Cu composites were prepared under conditions of 650 °C + 105 min (sample 1#), 750 °C + 85 min (sample 2#) and 840 °C + 50 min (sample 3#), respectively, by foil-fiber-foil method (FFF), and their room temperature tensile strengths were established. The aim is to model the reactive bonding states between Ti and SiC fiber and between Ti and Cu when Ti is used as interfacial adhesion promoters in SiCf/Cu–matrix composites. The fracture surfaces, SiCf/Ti interfaces and Ti/Cu interfaces were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The tensile tests show that the tensile strengths of samples 1# and 2# are not obviously enhanced due to the weak bonding strength between SiC fiber and Ti, while those of sample 3# are achieved above 90% of ROM (the rule of mixtures) strength because of excellent bonding between SiC fiber and Ti. However, there are distinct Ti/Cu interfacial reaction zones after the three processes, which are approximately 5.4, 9.0 and 13.3 μm thick, respectively. The Ti/Cu interfacial reaction products are mainly distributed in four layers. In samples 1# and 2#, the products are predicted to be Cu4Ti, Cu3Ti2, CuTi and CuTi2 according to their chemical compositions determined by EDS, while in sample 3#, the products are Cu4Ti, Cu4Ti3, CuTi and CuTi2. Additionally, the relationships between the thickness of Ti interlayer and its reaction with C and Cu are also discussed, and an optimal thickness of Ti is introduced.  相似文献

Ti3SiC2/insulating polyaniline (Ti3SiC2/PANI) composites were prepared by solution blending and subsequently by hot-pressing process. The dielectric permittivity and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness (SE) of the composites were determined in the frequency range of 8.2–12.4 GHz (X-band). Both real and imaginary permittivities increase with the increasing Ti3SiC2 content, and which are attributed to the enhanced displacement current and conduction current. The EMI SE of the composites can be greatly improved by addition of Ti3SiC2 filler, which may be ascribed to the increase of electrical conductivity of the composites. It is also found that the reflection of electromagnetic radiation is a dominant mechanism for EMI shielding of the composite. An average EMI SE of 23 dB can be achieved in the X-band range for the composite with 25 wt% Ti3SiC2 content, which shows the potential of the Ti3SiC2/PANI composites as EMI shielding materials for commercial applications.  相似文献

SiCf/SiC composites with PIP–SiC interphase were prepared as electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials by chemical vapor infiltration method. Effects of thermal oxidation on electrical and EMI shielding properties of the composites in X band were investigated. The as-received composites show high electrical conductivity of 0.12 S/cm and SET value of 29 dB, which is ascribed to the free carbon in the composites. The electrical conductivities and weight retentions of the composites decrease with oxidation temperatures or time increase. Likewise, the shielding properties deteriorate to some degree but the SET value exhibits more than 17 dB after oxidation at 1000 °C for 2 h and 15 dB at 900 °C for 6 h, respectively. The deterioration of electrical and EMI shielding properties during oxidation process is ascribed to the consumption of free carbon. The high SEA value and low SER value imply that absorption is the dominant EMI shielding mechanism. The SiC interphase can protect the fibers and keep EMI shielding properties of the composites at a high level.  相似文献

In this work, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) composites filled with Ti3SiC2 or graphite were prepared through powder metallurgy. The effects of different filling components, loads and sliding velocities on the friction performance of Ti3SiC2/PTFE composites were studied. Ti3SiC2/PTFE composites exhibit better wear resistance than graphite/PTFE composites due to the better mechanical properties of Ti3SiC2. The wear resistance was found to improve around 100× over unfilled PTFE with the addition of 1 wt.% Ti3SiC2. In addition, the 10 wt.% sample had the lowest wear rate of K = 2.1 × 10−6 mm3/Nm and the lowest steady friction coefficient with μ = 0.155 at the condition of 90 N–0.4 m/s. Ti3SiC2 was proved to promote the formation of a thin and uniform transfer film on counterpart surface and a protection oxide film on worn surface, which are the key roles for improving wear resistance.  相似文献

This work reported preparation of porous composites using a simple dip-coating method, and the fabricated composites containing hybrid carbon nanomaterials performed excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding properties. A commercial sponge was coated with silver nanoparticles before being dip-coated with graphene (GP)/ink, multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)/ink, or hybrid GP/MWCNTs/ink to form Ag/carbon nanomaterial hybrid composites, and then the composites were subjected to EMI measurements in the frequency range of 0.45–1.5 GHz. For comparison, the sponges without Ag nanoparticle coating were also prepared. Herein, we found an insignificant difference in EMI SE among the porous composites without Ag nanoparticle coating, and the maximum values of approximately 14.4 dB was attained. Interestingly, the hybrid composites with Ag nanoparticle coating exhibited maximum EMI shielding of 24.33 dB. Due to their porous structure, the EMI SE measurements showed that reflection dominates the EMI SE for all the sponge composites studied in this work.  相似文献

Magnetically-sensitive polyurethane composites, which were crosslinked with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and were filled with Fe3O4 nanoparticles, were synthesized via in situ polymerization method. MWCNTs pretreated with nitric acid were used as crosslinking agents. Because of the crosslinking of MWCNTs with polyurethane prepolymer, the properties of the composites with a high content of Fe3O4 nanoparticles, especially the mechanical properties, were significantly improved. The composites showed excellent shape memory properties in both 45 °C hot water and an alternating magnetic field (f = 45 kHz, H = 29.7 kA m−1). The shape recovery time was less than one minute and the shape recovery rate was over 95% in the alternating magnetic field.  相似文献

NiAl matrix self-lubricating composites (NMCs) with various contents of Ti3SiC2 were fabricated by in situ technique using spark plasma sintering. The effects of Ti3SiC2 content on tribological properties of NMC were investigated. The results showed that NMC were composed of the matrix phase of NiAl alloy, enhanced phase of TiC and lubricating phases of Ti3SiC2 and C. NMC with 10 wt.% Ti3SiC2 exhibited low friction coefficient of 0.60 and wear rate of 5.45 × 10−5 mm3 (N m)−1 at the condition of 10 N–0.234 m/s at room temperature. The optimum content of Ti3SiC2 was 10 wt.%. The excellent tribological performance of NMC could be attributed to the balance between strength and lubricity, as well as synergetic effect of enhanced phase and lubricating phases. The wear mechanisms changed with the increasing of the doped content of Ti3SiC2.  相似文献

Reduced graphene oxide deposited carbon fiber (rGO-CF) was prepared by introducing GO onto CF surface through electrophoretic deposition method, following by reducing the GO sheets on CF with NaBH4 solution. The rGO-CF was found to be more effective than CF to improve the electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding property of unsaturated polyester (UP) based composites. With 0.75% mass fraction of rGO-CF, the shielding effectiveness of the composite reached 37.8 dB at the frequency range of 8.2–12.4 GHz (x-band), which had 16.3% increase than that of CF/UP composite (32.5 dB) in the same fiber mass fraction. The results suggest that rGO-CF is a good candidate for the use as a light-weight EMI shielding material.  相似文献

Composites of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) with micron and nano sized BaTiO3 powders were developed for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding applications in the X band. PVDF-nano BaTiO3 composites show better shielding property compared to PVDF-micron sized BaTiO3 composites. The composite of PVDF with 40 vol% of nano BaTiO3 showed the best EMI shielding effectiveness and is about 9 dB. The contributions from reflection and absorption to the total EMI shielding effectiveness is same for the PVDF-BaTiO3 composites. Addition of small amount of silver particles improved the shielding properties of these composites due to the increased conductivity. An EMI shielding effectiveness of about 26 dB is obtained in the measured frequency range for the PVDF-20 vol% nano BaTiO3-10 vol% Ag composite of thickness 1.2 mm. Novel three phase composite combining the advantages of metal, nano ceramic and polymer is obtained with the potential for effective EMI shielding applications.  相似文献

Graphene (GN)-based composite paper containing 10 wt.% cellulose nanowhiskers (CNWs) exhibiting a tensile strength of 31.3 MPa and electrical conductivity of 16 800 S/m was prepared by ultrasonicating commercial GN powders in aqueous CNWs suspension. GN/CNWs freestanding paper was applied to prepare the sandwiched films by dip coating method. The sandwiched films showed enhanced tensile strength by over two times higher than the neat resins. The moduli of the sandwiched films were around 300 times of the pure resins due to the high content of GN/CNWs paper. The glass transition temperature of the sandwiched films increased from 51.2 °C to 57.1 °C for pure epoxy (E888) and SF (E888), and 49.8 °C to 64.8 °C for pure epoxy (650) and SF (650), respectively. The bare conductive GN/CNWs paper was well protected by the epoxy resin coating, which is promising in the application as anti-static materials, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials.  相似文献

A Tyranno ZMI fiber/TiSi2–Si matrix composite was fabricated via melt infiltration (MI) of a Si–16at%Ti alloy at 1375 °C under vacuum. The Si–Ti alloy was used as an infiltrant to conduct MI processing below 1400 °C and inhibit the strength degradation of the amorphous SiC fibers. The alloy matrix formed was dense and comprised primarily of TiSi2–Si eutectic structures. The TiSi2–Si matrix composite melt-infiltrated at 1375 °C showed a pseudo-plastic tensile stress–strain behavior followed by final fracture at ∼290 MPa and ∼0.9% strain. When the MI temperature was increased to 1450 °C, however, substantial reduction in the stiffness and ultimate strength occurred under tensile loading. Microstructural observations revealed that these degradations were attributed to the damages that occurred on the reinforcing fibers and pyrolytic carbon interfaces during the MI process. The present experimental results clearly demonstrated the effectiveness of the low-temperature MI process in strengthening Tyranno ZMI fiber composites and reducing the processing cost.  相似文献

Recycled linear low-density polyethylene (RLLDPE) was blended with date palm wood powder to prepare composites in which the concentration of the filler ranged from 10 to 70 wt.%. The cross-linking of composites was performed in some selected cases. The Young’s modulus of the composites significantly increased as the filler content increased over the entire concentration range. A maximum value of 1989 MPa was observed for the composite filled with 70 wt.% filler, which was approximately 6.5 times higher than that observed for neat RLLDPE. The presence of filler increased the flexural strength from 11.4 MPa for unmodified RLLDPE to 17 MPa for the composite containing 70 wt.% filler. The Young’s modulus and stress at break measured at 50 °C decreased significantly compared with those values measured at 25 °C. The ratio between the stress at break at 25 °C versus 50 °C (σ25/σ50) was between 2.7 and 3.8, whereas the ratio of Young’s modulus of E25/E50 was between 1.6 and 2.6.  相似文献

Interfacial control of uni-directional SiCf/SiC composites were performed by EPD, and their mechanical properties at room temperature were evaluated. The effect of the thickness of carbon interphase on SiC fibers by EPD on mechanical properties of uni-directional SiCf/SiC composites was also investigated. The average thickness of carbon coating on SiC fibers increased from 42 nm to 164 nm with an increase in the concentration of colloidal graphite suspension for EPD. Dense SiCf/SiC composites were achieved and their fiber volume fraction was 47–51%. The SiCf/SiC composites had a bending strength of 210–240 MPa. As the thickness of carbon coating was below 100 nm, the SiCf/SiC composites (SC01 and SC02) fractured in almost brittle manner. In contrast, the SiCf/SiC composites (SC03) showed a pseudo-ductile fracture behavior with a large number of fiber pullout as the thickness of carbon coating was above 100 nm. The fracture energy of SC03 was 3–4 times as high as those of SC01 and SC02 and the value was about 1.7 kJ/m2. In consideration of the results of mechanical properties, the thickness of carbon coating on SiC fibers should be at least 100 nm to obtain high-performance SiCf/SiC composites. The fabrication process based on EPD method is expected to be an effective way to control the interfaces of SiCf/SiC composites and to obtain high-performance SiCf/SiC composites.  相似文献
