Fractional dispersed phase hold-up and dispersed side mass transfer coefficients for amyloglucosidase were measured in a 56 mm i.d. packed extraction column using a sodium sulphate-polyethylene glycol 4000 system. Raschig rings (3 to 13.3 mm), Berl saddles (12 mm), Pall rings (12.6 mm), glass spheres (5.2 mm) and structured wire gauze were used as packings. The effect of packing size was investigated in the case of ceramic Raschig rings. The effect of phase composition of the aqueous phase system also was studied. Correlations have been developed for fractional dispersed phase hold-up and volumetric mass transfer coefficient with packing voidage, dry surface area of packings, superficial dispersed phase velocity and the liquid phase physical properties.  相似文献

The fractional dispersed phase hold-up and mass transfer coefficients were measured in modified spray columns of 50 mm i.d. using an aqueous two phase system of polyethylene glycol (PEG 4000)-sodium sulphate-buffer. The mass transfer coefficients were measured for amyloglucosidase and β-galactosidase. Both co-current and countercurrent modes of operation were investigated. The dispersed phase hold-up (?D) and the dispersed phase and the continuous phase mass transfer coefficients (kDa, kCa) increased with increasing dispersed phase velocity. An increase in the phase concentration of sodium sulphate and PEG was found to reduce ?D, kDa, and kCa. The performance of the modified spray column is compared with the conventional spray column. The modifications resulted into about a ten-fold enhancement in the throughput and about a five-fold reduction in the value of the height of a transfer unit (HTU ). It has been shown that the value of HTU of the order of 1 m can be obtained. Empirical correlations for ?D and kDa, kCa have been proposed.  相似文献

引 言气体搅动是一种外加能量的萃取方法 .与机械搅拌相比 ,气体搅动的萃取塔内无运动部件 ,操作稳定 ,结构简单 ,能耗低 .过去已有数篇关于气体搅动的混合 -澄清槽[1] 、喷洒塔[2~ 4 ] 、多级连续萃取器[5] 等无填料的萃取过程水力学性能和传质性能的文献报道 .而在填料塔萃取过程中加入气体搅动技术 ,一方面继承了填料可以有效地降低轴向返混的优越性能 ;另一方面 ,通过外加能量进一步强化液 -液两相接触与传质 ,提高传质系数 ,综合了外加能量的萃取技术和填料萃取技术的优点 .关于这方面的内容目前少有报道[6] .1 实验装置与实验方法…  相似文献

Mean drop size, fractional hold-up of dispersed phase and axial mixing characteristics have been determined in a 72 mm diameter mechanically agitated extraction column of Oldshue—Rushton type, using the two liquid—liquid mass transfer systems, toluene—acetone—water and MIBK-acetic acid—water. As for normal conditions of packed column operation described in Part I, solute presence and the direction of mass transfer has a significant effect on mean drop size, fractional hold-up and to a lesser extent, axial mixing in the dispersed phase. Probably the most dramatic effect however is the manner in which solute transfer affects dispersed phase behaviour. Highly coalescing conditions with transfer from the dispersed to the continuous phase can make the column practically unoperable. As for the packed column, axial mixing in the continuous phase is unaffected except in so far as solute presence and direction of mass transfer affect the hold-up of dispersed phase.  相似文献

在内径40mm实验脉冲筛板柱中,用30%磷酸三丁酯-硝酸-水体系测定了各种操作条件下两相稳态传质浓度剖面、液滴直径分布和分散相体积分数.根据多级返流模型拟合实际浓度剖面推算得到真实的体积传质系数K_(oDa)和两相返混参数,并进而计算出相际传质系数K_(oD).对标准板和分散-聚合型板两种柱结构内的传质过程进行了分析和讨论.研究结果表明,在本实验范围内,脉冲筛板柱内相际传质系数可按单液滴湍流内循环传质模型来预测.  相似文献

本文以UO_2(NO_3)_2—30%TBP(KO)为实验体系,进行了梯形波脉冲筛板柱传质性能的研究。实验中测量了两组分的两相稳态浓度剖面共13组,以扩散模型为基础,求得了梯形波脉冲柱的“真实”传质单元高度HTU_(ox),分散单元高度HDU及表观传质单元高度HTU_(oxp)。通过对实验结果进行分析,选择出了适于本实验体系的较好的操作条件。  相似文献

The “Forward Mixing” model has been applied to data obtained from a 22 cm diameter pulsed plate extraction column. Measurements of drop size distributions, dispersed phase hold-up and concentration profiles for two systems (toluene-acetone-water and n-butanol-succinic acid-water) of quite different properties were made with the column operating in the emulsion region. Generated drop size distribution function parameters, size-dependent slip velocities and mass transfer coefficients, and continuous phase axial dispersion coefficients were accurate in predicting dispersed phase hold-up and extraction efficiencies (or the related plug flow number of transfer units). These parameters were correlated with phase superficial velocities and pulse velocities. The influence of continuous phase axial dispersion was much greater than the influence of drop size variation, and was not accurately predicted by most previous tracer-based correlations. An inlet dispersed phase distributor was beneficial to the performance with the high interfacial tension system.  相似文献

Overall dispersed side volumetric mare transfer coeffcieats for protein and amino acids were measured in continuous countercurreat PEG4000/KHP aqueous two-phase systems in a 57 mm I.D. packed extraction column. A model for overall dispersed side volumetric mass transfer coefficients was derived by describing the motion of the drops based upon Navier-Stokes equation combined with the relationship between mass transfer coefficients and the drop velocity. The model provides good predictions and can be successfully used in aqueous two-phase extraction. The awrage relative deviation between calculated values and experimental date ranges from 8% to 14%.  相似文献

The multiple upcomer (MU) extraction tray was specifically developed for aromatics extraction processes. Hydro-dynamic and mass transfer experiments have been carried out with n-butanol/succinic acid/water as an experimental system in a MU tray extraction column of 0.1 m diameter. The dispersed phase hold-up, drop size and overall efficiency were measured and the hydrodynamic and mass transfer parameters were correlated. The flooding velocities and the overall efficiency predicted from the correlation for this column agreed well with the experimental data.  相似文献

在液-液萃取过程中,提高分散相的表面更新速率可有效提高萃取的传质效率。研究发现,在萃取过程中使用气体搅拌可以增加液液之间的接触面积,促进液相内的湍动和循环。本文研究了气-液-液三相下油滴的流动形态,并对不同填料的流体力学性能进行了测定。实验结果表明,气相速度的增加可导致气含率、液含率的增加,从而提高分散相在填料萃取塔中的停留时间,在一定的速度范围内明显降低萃取的表观传质单元高度,极大地强化传质效果。通过与散装填料对比,发现规整填料更利于强化萃取效果,其液泛速度平均增加25%。  相似文献

为测试锥形穿流塔板的性能,在内径为75mm的脉冲萃取塔中,以煤油-水和10%磷酸三丁酯/煤油-水为实验体系,在无传质条件下,研究脉冲强度与两相表观流速对分散相存留分数和特性速度的影响。结果表明,在实验范围内,存留分数与分散相流速近似成正比,与连续相流速无关。而随着脉冲强度的增大,存留分数先减小,当脉冲强度达到临界值(Af)t后,存留分数迅速增大。将此临界值与脉冲筛板塔临界值进行对比,两种体系分别减小约9.7%和41.4%,此外,特性速度随着脉冲强度的增大而减小,且界面张力较低的体系减小幅度更大。在实验结果分析的基础上,利用量纲分析方法得到了存留分数与特性速度的工程经验关联式,预测值与实验值符合较好,相对误差均小于20%,可以应用于脉冲萃取塔的设计计算。  相似文献

In this research gasoil desalting was investigated from mass transfer point of view in an eductor liquid–liquid extraction column (eductor-LLE device). Mass transfer characteristics of the eductor-LLE device were evaluated and an empirical correlation was obtained by dimensional analysis of the dispersed phase Sherwood number. The Results showed that the overall mass transfer coefficient of the dispersed phase and extraction efficiency have been increased by increasing Sauter mean diameter (SMD) and decreasing the nozzle diameter from 2 to 1 mm, respectively. The effects of Reynolds number (Re), projection ratio (ratio of the distance between venturi throat and nozzle tip to venturi throat diameter, Rpr), venturi throat area to nozzle area ratio (Rth-n) and two phases flow rates ratio (RQ) on the mass transfer coefficient (K) were determined. According to the results, K increase with increasing Re and RQ and also with decreasing Rpr and Rth-n. Semi-empirical models of drop formation, rising and coalescence were compared with our proposed empirical model. It was revealed that the present model provided a relatively good fitting for the mass transfer model of drop coalescence. Moreover, experimental data were in better agreement with calculated data with AARE value of 0.085.  相似文献

The gas and dispersed phase holdups and mass transfer coefficients of liquid-iquid were determined for gas-liquid-liquid three phase system in a screen plate column. The flow pattern of gas-liquid-liquid three phase system was studied under different gas velocities. The shape factors showed the geometric properties of screen plates and the corrected drop chaxacteristic velocities were introduced. The phase holdup in two phases was correlated.The research results indicated that mass transfer coefficient for liquid-liquid system in a column with screen plates and gas agitation was found to increase apparently.  相似文献

Mean drop size, fractional hold-up of dispersed phase, and axial mixing have been determined in a 72 mm dia. packed column, packed with 8 mm glass Raschig rings, using the systems toluene-acetone-water and MIBK-acetic acid-water, in an attempt to assess the effects of the solute transfer processes on column operation.For the MIBK-system, where the packing size corresponded to the normal recommended conditions dp > dFC (packing size greater than the critical size of packing), solute presence and the direction of solute transfer was found to affect drop size, fractional hold-up and the axial mixing in the dispersed phase appreciably, in a manner which was consistent with either suppressed or enhanced coalescence characteristics according to the appropriate changes in solute system.For the toluene system, however, with the packing size corresponding to the condition dp < dFC, the drop behaviour was dominated by the action of the packing void spaces and mean drop size was independent of solute presence and direction of transfer.In both cases, axial mixing in the continuous phase was independent of solute effects, except in so far as these changes modified hold-up of the dispersed phase.  相似文献

The volumetric overall mass transfer coefficients have been measured in a pulsed packed extraction column using diffusion model for the toluene/acetone/water system. The experiments were carried out for both mass transfer directions. The effects of operational variables such as pulsation intensity and dispersed and continuous phases flow rates on volumetric overall mass transfer coefficients have been investigated. The experimental findings indicate that pulsation intensity and mass transfer direction have great influence on volumetric overall mass transfer coefficient. Significant, but weaker, are the effects of continuous and dispersed phase flow rates. The experimental results obtained in the present work are compared with some other types of extraction columns. Finally, two empirical correlations for prediction of the continuous phase overall mass transfer coefficient is derived in terms of Sherwood and Reynolds numbers. Good agreement between prediction and experiments was found for all operating conditions that were investigated.  相似文献

The hydrodynamics and mass transfer characteristics of a venturi/bubble column combination were studied at high liquid superficial velocities of up to 0.35 m/s. The gas hold-up was increased by 50% to 150% and the overall volumetric mass transfer coefficient was tripled when the venturi was used as “gas distributor” instead of a porous distributor. A correlation of the overall volumetric mass transfer coefficient (KLa) with the gas hold-up, valid for gas hold-ups as high as 0.3, was proposed for the cylindrical bubble column section. The energy consumption per mole of oxygen transferred was lower than with most distributors and the oxygen transfer rate per unit of reactor volume was higher than in a bubble column with a porous distributor. The venturi/bubble column combination is a compact and efficient system which does not have the operating problems of systems which require internals.  相似文献
