采用PLC的气动测量系统串行通信数据压缩算法研究

针对基于可编程控制器(PLC)的气动测量系统中,气动量仪串行通信数据输出格式不紧凑、占用存储空间大以及实时运算处理困难等问题,提出一种有效的串行通信数据压缩算法.采用逻辑运算先将数据单字节处理,再将单字节从ASCII码转换成十进制数,最后加权整合得到完整数据.实验表明,该方法能将数据存储空间减少到原来的1/7,而且使PLC中测量数据的实时处理得以实现.

Natural language manual programming for pulsed fiber laser micromachining

This paper proposes the use of voice commands expressed in natural language for part program generation for pulsed fiber laser micromachining. Traditionally, according to ISO G-code, a part program is an ordered list of program blocks in an ASCII formatted computer file. Each block identifies a machine operation and defines its parameters, following a predefined syntax. Under the proposed approach, such a file is replaced by natural language voice commands without any particular syntax constraints. Such an approach has the potential to facilitate the generation of part programs in domains (laser micromanufacturing, rapid prototyping, desktop computer numerical control) where traditional ISO G-code programming seems inappropriate, and the adoption and implementation of complex solutions such as STEP-NC or CAD/CAM systems could be unjustified. The input system is responsible for the recognition and interpretation of voice commands according to a statistical knowledge base learnt from examples. The proposed approach has been implemented in a prototype computer system, named smart programming system that has been validated by an application to the programming of pulsed fiber laser micromachining.

Versatile pulse programmer for nuclear magnetic resonance

A microprocessor-based pulse programmer for pulsed NMR applications employing digital integrated circuit and microprocessor techniques is described. The pulse programmer was designed to be completely general with the capability to quickly and easily program any desired pulse sequence. Pulse sequenching and timing information is entered through any standard ASCII terminal using a programming language developed specifically for NMR. A resident text editor provides for easy pulse sequence modifications as well as a program library feature. A language translator and run-time monitor transform this general hardware system into a 'smart' pulse programmer capable of extended programming functions.

A flexible acquisition cycle for incompletely defined fieldbus protocols

Real time data-acquisition from fieldbuses strongly depends on the network type and protocol used. Currently, there is an impressive number of fieldbuses, some of them are completely defined and others are incompletely defined. In those from the second category, the time variable, the main element in real-time data acquisition, does not appear explicitly. Examples include protocols such as Modbus ASCII/RTU, M-bus, ASCII character-based, and so on. This paper defines a flexible acquisition cycle based on the Master-Slave architecture that can be implemented on a Master station, called a Base Station Gateway (BSG). The BSG can add a timestamp for temporal location of data. It also presents a possible extension for the Modbus protocol, developed as simple and low cost solution based on existing hardware.
