This paper investigates the problem of robust ?? static output feedback controller design for a class of discrete‐time piecewise‐affine systems with norm‐bounded time‐varying parametric uncertainties. The objective is to design a piecewise‐linear static output feedback controller guaranteeing the asymptotic stability of the resulting closed‐loop system with a prescribed ?? disturbance attenuation level. Based on a piecewise Lyapunov function combined with S‐procedure, Projection lemma, and some matrix inequality convexifying techniques, several novel approaches to the static output feedback controller analysis and synthesis are developed for the underlying piecewise‐affine systems. It is shown that the controller gains can be obtained by solving a set of strict linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) or a family of LMIs parameterized by one or two scalar variables, which are numerically efficient with commercially available software. Finally, three simulation examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we will first derive a general synthesis condition for the output‐feedback ?? control of smooth nonlinear systems. Computationally efficient ?? control design procedure for a subclass of smooth nonlinear systems with polynomial vector field is then proposed by converting the resulting Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Isaacs inequalities from rational forms to their equivalent polynomial forms. Using quadratic Lyapunov functions, both the state‐feedback and output‐feedback problems will be reformulated as semi‐definite optimization conditions and locally tractable solutions can be obtained through sum‐of‐squares (SOS) programming. The proposed nonlinear ?? design approach achieves significant relaxations on the plant structure compared with existing results in the literature. Moreover, the SOS‐based solution algorithm provides an effective computational scheme to break the bottleneck in solving nonlinear ?? and optimal control problems. The proposed nonlinear ?? control approach has been applied to several examples to demonstrate its advantages over existing nonlinear control techniques and its usefulness to engineering problems. This paper addresses the problem of controlling a linear system subject to actuator saturations and to ??2‐bounded disturbances. Linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions are proposed to design a state feedback gain in order to satisfy the closed‐loop input‐to‐state stability (ISS) and the closed‐loop finite gain ??2 stability. By considering a quadratic candidate Lyapunov function, two particular tools are used to derive the LMI conditions: a modified sector condition, which encompasses the classical sector‐nonlinearity condition considered in some previous works, and Finsler's Lemma, which allows to derive stabilization conditions which are adapted to treat multiple objective control optimization problems in a potentially less conservative framework. In this paper, the H input/output (I/O) linearization formulation is applied to design an inner‐loop nonlinear controller for a nonlinear ship course‐keeping control problem. Due to the ship motion dynamics are non‐minimum phase, it is impossible to use the ordinary feedback I/O linearization to resolve. Hence, the technique of H I/O linearization is proposed to obtain a nonlinear H controller such that the compensated nonlinear system approximates the linear reference model in I/O behaviour. Then a μ‐synthesis method is employed to design an outer‐loop robust controller to address tracking, regulation, and robustness issues. The time responses of the tracking signals for the closed‐loop system reveal that the overall robust nonlinear controller is able to provide robust stability and robust performance for the plant uncertainties and state measurement errors. The problem of gain‐scheduled state feedback control for discrete‐time linear systems with time‐varying parameters is considered in this paper. The time‐varying parameters are assumed to belong to the unit simplex and to have bounded rates of variation, which depend on the values of the parameters and can vary from slow to arbitrarily fast. An augmented state vector is defined to take into account possible time‐delayed inputs, allowing a simplified closed‐loop analysis by means of parameter‐dependent Lyapunov functions. A gain‐scheduled state feedback controller that minimizes an upper bound to the ?? performance of the closed‐loop system is proposed. No grids in the parametric space are used. The design conditions are expressed in terms of bilinear matrix inequalities (BMIs) due to the use of extra variables introduced by the Finsler's lemma. By fixing some of the extra variables, the BMIs reduce to a convex optimization problem, providing an alternate semi‐definite programming algorithm to solve the problem. Robust controllers for time‐invariant uncertain parameters, as well as gain‐scheduled controllers for arbitrarily time‐varying parameters, can be obtained as particular cases of the proposed conditions. As illustrated by numerical examples, the extra variables in the BMIs can provide better results in terms of the closed‐loop ?? performance. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper studies the design problem of robust delay‐dependent ?? controller for a class of time‐delay control systems with time‐varying state and input delays, which are assumed to be noncoincident. The system is subject to norm‐bounded uncertainties and ??2 disturbances. Based on the selection of an augmented form of Lyapunov–Krasovskii (L‐K) functional, first a Bounded Real Lemma (BRL) is obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) such that the nominal, unforced time‐delay system is guaranteed to be globally asymptotically stable with minimum allowable disturbance attenuation level. Extending BRL, sufficient delay‐dependent criteria are developed for a stabilizing ?? controller synthesis involving a matrix inequality for which a nonlinear optimization algorithm with LMIs is proposed to get feasible solution to the problem. Moreover, for the case of existence of norm‐bounded uncertainties, both the BRL and ?? stabilization criteria are easily extended by employing a well‐known bounding technique. A plenty of numerical examples are given to illustrate the application of the proposed methodology of this note. The achieved numerical results on the maximum allowable delay bound and minimum allowable disturbance attenuation level are exhibited to be less conservative in comparison to those of existing methods in the literature. This paper presents synthesis conditions for the design of gain‐scheduled dynamic output feedback controllers for discrete‐time linear parameter‐varying systems. The state‐space matrix representation of the plant and of the controller can have a homogeneous polynomial dependency of arbitrary degree on the scheduling parameter. As an immediate extension, conditions for the synthesis of a multiobjective ?? and ??2 gain‐scheduled dynamic feedback controller are also provided. The scheduling parameters vary inside a polytope and are assumed to be a priori unknown, but measured in real‐time. If bounds on the rate of parameter variation are known, they can be taken into account, providing less conservative results. The geometric properties of the uncertainty domain are exploited to derive finite sets of linear matrix inequalities based on the existence of a homogeneous polynomially parameter‐dependent Lyapunov function. An application of the control design to a realistic engineering problem illustrates the benefits of the proposed approach. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of H output tracking control for networked control systems (NCSs) with network‐induced delay and packet disordering. Different from the results in existing literature, the controller design in this paper is both delay‐ and packet‐disordering‐dependent. Based on the different cases of consecutive predictions, the networked output tracking system is modeled into a switched system. Moreover, by the corresponding switching‐based Lyapunov functional approach, a linear matrix inequality (LMI)‐based procedure is proposed for designing state‐feedback controllers, which guarantees that the output of the closed‐loop NCSs tracks the output of a given reference model well in the H sense. In addition, the proposed method can be applied variously due to all kinds of prediction numbers of the consecutive disordering packet have been considered, and the designed controller is based on the prediction case in the last transmission interval, which brings about less conservatism. Finally numerical examples and simulations are used to illustrate the effectiveness and validity of the proposed switching‐based method and the delay‐ and packet‐disordering‐dependent H output tracking controller design.  相似文献

This paper addresses the problems of local stabilization and control of open‐loop unstable discrete‐time quadratic systems subject to persistent magnitude bounded disturbances and actuator saturation. Firstly, for some polytopic region of the state‐space containing the origin, a method is derived to design a static nonlinear state feedback control law that achieves local input‐to‐state stabilization with a guaranteed stability region under nonzero initial conditions and persistent bounded disturbances. Secondly, the stabilization method is extended to deliver an optimized upper bound on the ?‐induced norm of the closed‐loop system for a given set of persistent bounded disturbances. Thirdly, the stabilization and ? designs are adapted to cope with actuator saturation by means of a generalized sector bound constraint. The proposed controller designs are tailored via a finite set of state‐dependent linear matrix inequalities. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the potentials of the proposed control design methods. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, the ?? and l2l filtering problem is investigated for two‐dimensional (2‐D) discrete‐time linear parameter‐varying (LPV) systems. Based on the well‐known Fornasini–Marchesini local state‐space (FMLSS) model, the mathematical model of 2‐D systems under consideration is established by incorporating the parameter‐varying phenomenon. The purpose of the problem addressed is to design full‐order ?? and l2l filters such that the filtering error dynamics is asymptotic stable and the prescribed noise attenuation levels in ?? and l2l senses can be achieved, respectively. Sufficient conditions are derived for existence of such filters in terms of parameterized linear matrix inequalities (PLMIs), and the corresponding filter synthesis problem is then transformed into a convex optimization problem that can be efficiently solved by using standard software packages. A simulation example is exploited to demonstrate the usefulness and effectiveness of the proposed design method. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper presents new results pertaining to the control design of a class of linear uncertain systems with Markovian jump parameters. An integral part of the system dynamics is a delayed state in which the time‐delays are mode dependent. The jumping parameters are modelled as a continuous‐time, discrete‐state Markov process and the uncertainties are norm‐bounded. We construct an appropriate Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and design a simultaneous ℋ︁2/ℋ︁ controller which minimizes a quadratic ℋ︁2 performance measure while satisfying a prescribed ℋ︁‐norm bound on the closed‐loop system. It is established that sufficient conditions for the existence of the simultaneous ℋ︁2/ℋ︁ controller and the associated performance upper bound are cast in the form of linear matrix inequalities. Simulation results are provided and extension to the case where the jumping rates are subject to uncertainties is presented. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper deals with delay‐dependent H control for discrete‐time systems with time‐varying delay. A new finite sum inequality is first established to derive a delay‐dependent condition, under which the resulting closed‐loop system via a state feedback is asymptotically stable with a prescribed H noise attenuation level. Then, an iterative algorithm involving convex optimization is proposed to obtain a suboptimal H controller. Finally, two numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. This paper deals with the non‐fragile H control problem for uncertain linear systems. The uncertainties are of a linear fractional form and appear in both the state and control input matrices. The purpose is to design a state feedback controller, which is subject to linear fractional parametric uncertainties, such that the resulting closed‐loop system is quadratically stable with an H norm bound. A sufficient condition for the solvability of the problem is obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design method. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley and Sons Asia Pte Ltd and Chinese Automatic Control Society  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of robust H control for uncertain stochastic systems with Markovian jump parameters and time‐varying state delays. A linear matrix inequality approach is developed and state feedback controllers are designed, which guarantee mean square asymptotic stability of the closed‐loop system and a prescribed H performance level for all modes and admissible uncertainties. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the application of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper presents a scheme to design robust sliding mode observers(SMO) with ?? performance for uncertain nonlinear Lipschitz systems where both faults and disturbances are considered. We study the necessary conditions to achieve insensitivity of the proposed sliding mode observer to the unknown input(fault). The objective is to derive a sufficient condition using linear matrix inequality(LMI) optimization for minimizing the ?? gain between the estimation error and disturbances, while at the same time the design method guarantees that the solution of the LMI optimization satisfies the so‐called structural matching condition. The sliding motion affects only a part of the system through a novel reduced‐order sliding mode controller. Furthermore, the so‐called equivalent control concept is discussed for fault estimation. Finally, a numerical example of MCK chaos demonstrates the high performance of the results compared with a pure SMO. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, an ?? sliding mode control (SMC) problem is studied for a class of discrete‐time nonlinear stochastic systems with multiple data packet losses. The phenomenon of data packet losses, which is assumed to occur in a random way, is taken into consideration in the process of data transmission through both the state‐feedback loop and the measurement output. The probability for the data packet loss for each individual state variable is governed by a corresponding individual random variable satisfying a certain probabilistic distribution over the interval [0 1]. The discrete‐time system considered is also subject to norm‐bounded parameter uncertainties and external nonlinear disturbances, which enter the system state equation in both matched and unmatched ways. A novel stochastic discrete‐time switching function is proposed to facilitate the sliding mode controller design. Sufficient conditions are derived by means of the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. It is shown that the system dynamics in the specified sliding surface is exponentially stable in the mean square with a prescribed ?? noise attenuation level if an LMI with an equality constraint is feasible. A discrete‐time SMC controller is designed capable of guaranteeing the discrete‐time sliding mode reaching condition of the specified sliding surface with probability 1. Finally, a simulation example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we address the ?? model reduction problem for linear time‐invariant discrete‐time systems. We revisit this problem by means of linear matrix inequality (LMI) approaches and first show a concise proof for the well‐known lower bounds on the approximation error, which is given in terms of the Hankel singular values of the system to be reduced. In addition, when we reduce the system order by the multiplicity of the smallest Hankel singular value, we show that the ?? optimal reduced‐order model can readily be constructed via LMI optimization. These results can be regarded as complete counterparts of those recently obtained in the continuous‐time system setting.  相似文献

A novel delay‐dependent filtering design approach is developed for a class of linear piecewise discrete‐time systems with convex‐bounded parametric uncertainties and time‐varying delays. The time‐delays appear in the state as well as the output and measurement channels. The filter has a linear full‐order structure and guarantees the desired estimation accuracy over the entire uncertainty polytope. The desired accuracy is assessed in terms of either ??‐performance or ??2–?? criteria. A new parametrization procedure based on a combined Finsler's Lemma and piecewise Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional is established to yield sufficient conditions for delay‐dependent filter feasibility. The filter gains are determined by solving a convex optimization problem over linear matrix inequalities. In comparison to the existing design methods, the developed methodology yields the least conservative measures since all previous overdesign limitations are almost eliminated. By means of simulation examples, the advantages of the developed technique are readily demonstrated. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the ??‐filtering problem for singularly perturbed (two time‐scale) nonlinear systems. Two types of filters are discussed, namely, (i) decomposition and (ii) aggregate, and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the problem in terms of Hamilton–Jacobi–Isaac's equations (HJIEs) are presented. Reduced‐order filters are also derived in each case, and the results are specialized to linear systems, in which case the HJIEs reduce to a system of linear‐matrix‐inequalities (LMIs). Based on the linearization of the nonlinear models, upper bounds ε* of the singular parameter ε that guarantee the asymptotic stability of the nonlinear filters can also be obtained. The mixed ??2/??‐filtering problem is also discussed. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
