人们熟知,由非线性薛定谔(NLS)方程描述的光学孤子可以在单模光纤中稳定地传输。本文在准单色近似和慢变包络近似条件下,利拥泰勒级数展开推出了这一非线性传输方程。由于推出的方程包含着高阶线性色散和光纤损耗项,因而可以用来研究短光脉冲(皮秒量级)在单模光纤传输过程中相关的非线性光学孤子效应,比如光学孤子分裂和光学孤子损耗等。 相似文献

High-order Nonlinearity Influence on Performances of High Rate Soliton Communication System and its Suppression Method 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The propagation equation is established to investigate the feasibility and the validity of the suppression of the soliton
self-frequency shift(SSFS) in the picosecond and femtosecond soliton communication system employing a compound control method
of time domain and frequency domain . By the use of the variational approach, the evolution of the chirping Gaussian quasi-soliton
pulse is analyzed in the presence of intrapulse Raman scattering. The self-frequency shift(SFS) is eliminated by an up frequency-guiding
filter control method. The soliton perturbation method is employed to study the steady-state solutions in the presence of
intrapulse Raman scattering. The relation between the transmission performances of the soliton and the system construction
parameters such as 3dB-temporal width of the modulator, center frequency and bandwidth of the filter is deduced and a stable
transmission condition is revealed. The long-haul soliton transmission system without SSFS at the rate of 160 Gb/s is designed
and its performance is numerically simulated. The simulation results are in well within accordance with our theoretical analysis.

The influences of chromatic dispersion, coupling length, and soliton energy on the soliton robustness to polarization-mode dispersion (PMD) are investigated numerically. We find that both chromatic dispersion and soliton energy have significant effects on the soliton robustness to PMD, and by optimizing chromatic dispersion and soliton energy, soliton pulse broadening can be depressed to within 10% even when the differential group delay is about twice the input pulse width. We demonstrate that the parametric mixing of an ultrashort Zakharov-Manakov (ZM) soliton pulse with a quasi-continuous-wave (CW) signal in a weakly quadratic nonlinear and dispersive medium may lead to the generation of a three-wave soliton with variable speed, or trappon. We show that trappons may provide a novel mechanism of cavityless ultrashort pulse train generation. The timewidth, the amplitude and the repetition rate of the generated pulse trains may be controlled in a stable manner by adjusting the intensity level of the CW signal and/or the ZM short soliton pulse. 相似文献

应用相敏光放大器抑制光孤子互作用的研究 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
通过计算机系统仿真研究了应用相敏光放大器(PSA)作为在线放大器抑制光孤子传输系统中孤子间的互作用,并与相应的掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)光孤子系统进行比较。仿真中考虑了平均孤子和动态孤子两种传输方案。结果表明,应用相敏光放大器代替掺铒光纤放大器作为在线放大器能有效地抑制孤子系统中脉冲的展宽和孤子间的互作用。对于平均孤子,在没有附加其他孤子控制措施的情况下,相敏光放大器系统中孤子间互作用得到有效的抑制,孤子对稳定传输距离得到极大的延长。对动态孤子,相敏光放大器亦表现出良好的抑制孤子间互作用的效果,但孤子脉冲的幅度经长距离传输后显著下降。 相似文献
