This paper proposes a yield model for integrated circuits that includes the impact of design measures for robust design as well as traditional defect density parameters. This model is a powerful extension to common practice at silicon foundries and integrated device manufacturers. Silicon bipolar integrated circuit (IC) technology has dominated the analog IC world for over two decades. As the push for wider bandwidths with higher precision continues, the emergence of GaAs HBT technology is destined to challenge silicon bipolar's domination at the high end of the analog market. This paper discusses the analog application areas best suited to GaAs HBT technology, points out its unique characteristics for analog circuits, describes the design issues for key analog building block circuits, and provides comparative examples of demonstrated state-of-the-art analog circuits. 互连线在高性能模拟集成电路中的影响已变得越来越不可忽视,部分元等效电路法(Partial Element Circuit,PEEC)是一种分析互连线的有效模型,常用方法是再用SPICE等数值模拟软件对PEEC模型进行分析。文中提出的用符号分析法模拟PEEC模型以及其它电路元器件,具有大大降低运算量等优点。基于这一点开发出一套交互式程序,使得包括考虑互连线影响的模拟电路的设计、验证和优化变得更容易、更有效率。  相似文献

我们所处的物理世界是模拟的。在现代信息与通信技术(ICT)、计算系统中,模拟电子的作用包括物理世界感应与交互、计算、控制、数据转换、通信、供电和测量等环节。以模拟集成电路为主体的模拟微电子器件是当今几乎所有以数字为中心的系统中的关键组件,对未来信息技术的发展至关重要。为了实现以5G、6G通信为代表的新一代ICT、工业4.0、物联网等信息社会的基础设施建设目标,其首要和必要条件是通过模拟硬件取得根本性突破,实现物理世界与机器交互的智能感知、认知和处理。为此要求模拟电子器件技术在无线信号链集成电路、计算范式与架构、高精度感知控制,以及模拟微电子技术的设计、工艺和封装测试技术、特定应用等方面开展研究,解决诸如计算范式与架构创新、压缩感知、新架构创新所需的工艺技术、毫米波和太赫兹等高频段集成电路开发所带来的各种挑战。文章从无线信号链集成电路、边缘机器学习中的模拟技术、高精度感知与控制、重要工艺创新等方面探讨了模拟微电子及应用技术前沿的最近研究进展,显示了未来模拟电子技术的关键发展趋势。  相似文献

The translinear principle, which is useful in the design of analog integrated circuits, can also be applied to the design of digital integrated circuits. As an example of this technique, a new nonsaturating bistable element is described, which operates according to the translinear principle and which is realizable with standard bipolar integrated circuit processes. This survey presents an overview of recent advances in the state of the art for computer-aided design (CAD) tools for analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs). Analog blocks typically constitute only a small fraction of the components on mixed-signal ICs and emerging systems-on-a-chip (SoC) designs. But due to the increasing levels of integration available in silicon technology and the growing requirement for digital systems to communicate with the continuous-valued external world, there is a growing need for CAD tools that increase the design productivity and improve the quality of analog integrated circuits. This paper describes the motivation and evolution of these tools and outlines progress on the various design problems involved: simulation and modeling, symbolic analysis, synthesis and optimization, layout generation, yield analysis and design centering, and test. An improved equivalent circuit model of a gallium-arsenide (GaAs) MESFET that is optimized for the design and analysis of precision analog integrated circuits is described. These circuits entail different modeling requirements from digital or microwave circuits, for which existing equivalent circuit models are optimized. A methodology for the automatic design optimization of analog integrated circuits is presented. A non-fixed-topology approach is realized by combining the optimization program OPTIMAN with the symbolic simulator ISAAC. After selecting a circuit topology, the user invokes ISAAC to model the circuit. ISAAC generates both exact and simplified analytic expressions, describing the circuit's behavior. The model is then passed to the design optimization program OPTIMAN. This program is based on a generalized formulation of the analog design problem. For the selected topology, the independent design variables are automatically extracted and OPTIMAN sizes all elements to satisfy the performance constraints, thereby optimizing a user-defined design objective. The global optimization method used on the analytic circuit models is simulated annealing. Practical examples show that OPTIMAN quickly designs analog circuits, closely meeting the specifications, and that it is a flexible and reliable design and exploration tool  相似文献

该文提出了电路基础实验模块化的思想,给出7个基础实验模块的电路设计图,并给出了由这7个模块组成的两个小型综合实验电路系统的设计框图。在基础电路模块设计中充分考虑器件的通用性,提高实验的可行性,并与理论课的相关内容紧密结合,加深学生对基础理论的理解;在综合实验电路设计中既包含模拟电路的内容,又包含数字电路的内容,充分体现电路的综合性,并增加实验的趣味性,启发学生的创新意识,提高学生的综合电路设计能力。  相似文献
