Electrocodeposition of Sm and Co on a Cu substrate was investigated in a molten LiCl-KCl-SmCl3 (0.5 mol.%)-CoCl2 (0.1 mol.%) system at 723 K. Phase of the deposited Sm-Co alloys could be controlled by electrolysis potential. SmCo3 was formed on a Cu substrate by potentiostatic electrolysis in the potential range of 0.20-0.90 V (vs. Li+/Li). Sm2Co17 was obtained in the potential range of 0.90-1.50 V.  相似文献

Electrochemical formation of Yb-Ni alloy films at a Ni cathode was investigated in a molten LiCl-KCl-YbCl3 (0.5 mol%) at 723 K. A very thin YbNi2 film (∼100 nm) was formed by potentiostatic electrolysis at 0.10 V (vs. Li+/Li) for 24 h. A much thicker YbNi2 alloy film (∼7 μm) was formed by Li codeposition method (cathodic galvanostatic electrolysis at 50 mA cm−2) for 1 h. The formed YbNi2 films were changed to Yb2Ni17 and α-Ni phases by anodic potentiostatic electrolysis depending on the applied potentials. The formation potentials of Yb2Ni17 and YbNi2 were found to be 0.75 and 0.25 V, respectively.  相似文献

A carbon coated Li3V2(PO4)3 cathode material for lithium ion batteries was synthesized by a sol-gel method using V2O5, H2O2, NH4H2PO4, LiOH and citric acid as starting materials, and its physicochemical properties were investigated using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive analysis of X-ray (EDAX), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and electrochemical methods. The sample prepared displays a monoclinic structure with a space group of P21/n, and its surface is covered with a rough and porous carbon layer. In the voltage range of 3.0-4.3 V, the Li3V2(PO4)3 electrode displays a large reversible capacity, good rate capability and excellent cyclic stability at both 25 and 55 °C. The largest reversible capacity of 130 mAh g−1 was obtained at 0.1C and 55 °C, nearly equivalent to the reversible cycling of two lithium ions per Li3V2(PO4)3 formula unit (133 mAh g−1). It was found that the increase in total carbon content can improve the discharge performance of the Li3V2(PO4)3 electrode. In the voltage range of 3.0-4.8 V, the extraction and reinsertion of the third lithium ion in the carbon coated Li3V2(PO4)3 host are almost reversible, exhibiting a reversible capacity of 177 mAh g−1 and good cyclic performance. The reasons for the excellent electrochemical performance of the carbon coated Li3V2(PO4)3 cathode material were also discussed.  相似文献

A carbonate co-precipitation method was employed to prepare spherical Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 cathode material. The precursor, [Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]CO3, was prepared using ammonia as chelating agent under CO2 atmosphere. The spherical Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 was prepared by mixing the precalcined [Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]CO3 with LiOH followed by high temperature calcination. The preparation conditions such as ammonia concentration, co-precipitation temperature, calcination temperature and Li/[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3] ratio were varied to optimize the physical and electrochemical properties of the prepared Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2. The structural, morphological, and electrochemical properties of the prepared LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 were characterized by XRD, SEM, and galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling. The optimized material has a spherical particle shape and a well ordered layered structure, and it also has an initial discharge capacity of 162.7 mAh g− 1 in a voltage range of 2.8-4.3 V and a capacity retention of 94.8% after a hundred cycles. The optimized ammonia concentration, co-precipitation temperature, calcination temperature, and Li/[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3] ratio are 0.3 mol L− 1, 60 °C, 850 °C, and 1.10, respectively.  相似文献

We present the mechanism for the synthesis of a layered Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 compound by a modified radiated gel method. Pure-phase Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 material was achieved when the polymer gel was calcined at 900 °C between 15 and 30 h. The unit cell parameter c decreased, and a varied slightly with increased sintering time. Electrochemical characterization revealed that the optimized sample (25 h) had a high initial discharge capacity of 188 mAh/g (2.8-4.5 V, 20 mA/g), an excellent capacity retention of 90.1% after 30 cycles and a good rate performance.  相似文献

The reduction path of the U3O8 powder vol-oxidized at 1200 °C has been determined by a series of electrochemical experiments in a 1 wt.% Li2O/LiCl molten salt. Various reaction intermediates are observed by during electrolysis of U3O8. The formation of the metallic uranium is caused from two different reduction paths, a direct reduction of uranium oxide and an electro-lithiothermic reduction. As the uranium oxide is converted to the metallic uranium, the lithium metal is more actively formed in the cathode basket. The reducibility of the rare earth oxides with the U3O8 powder has been tested by constant voltage electrolysis. The results suggest the advanced vol-oxidation could lead to the enhancement in the reducibility of the rare earth fission products.  相似文献

The layered Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 powder with good crystalline and spherical shape was prepared by hydroxide co-precipitation method. The effects of pH value, NH4OH amount, calcination temperature and extra Li amount on the morphology, structure and electrochemical properties of the cathode material were investigated in detail. SEM results indicate that pH value affected both the morphology and the property of the cathode material, and the highest discharge capacity in the first cycle of 163 mAh g−1 (2.8-4.3 V) was obtained at pH value was 12. On the contrary, the NH4OH amount, which was used as a chelating agent, only affected the particle size distribution of the material. The calcination temperatures caused great difference in the structure and property of layered Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2, and the best electrochemical properties were obtained at the calcination temperature of 800 °C. Extra Li amount not only caused difference in the material structure, but also affected their electrochemical properties. With increasing Li amount, the lattice parameters (a and c) increased monotonously, and the highest first cycle coulombic efficiency (the ratio of discharge capacity to charge capacity in the first cycle) was obtained with the Li/M of 1.10. Therefore, the optimum synthetic conditions for the hydroxide co-precipitation reaction were: pH value was 12, NH4OH amount was 0.36 mol L−1, calcination temperature was 800 °C and the Li/M molar ratio was 1.10.  相似文献

Non-spherical Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 powders have been synthesized using a two-step drying method with 5% excess LiOH at 800 °C for 20 h. The tap-density of the powder obtained is 2.95 g cm−3. This value is remarkably higher than that of the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 powders obtained by other methods, which range from 1.50 g cm−3 to 2.40 g cm−3. The precursor and Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 are characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). XPS studies show that the predominant oxidation states of Ni, Co and Mn in the precursor are 2+, 3+ and 4+, respectively. XRD results show that the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 material obtained by the two-step drying method has a well-layered structure with a small amount of cation mixing. SEM confirms that the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 particles obtained by this method are uniform. The initial discharge capacity of 167 mAh g−1 is obtained between 3 V and 4.3 V at a current of 0.2 C rate. The capacity of 159 mAh g−1 is retained at the end of 30 charge-discharge cycle with a capacity retention of 95%.  相似文献

Ultrafine powders of Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 cathode materials for lithium-ion secondary batteries were prepared under mild hydrothermal conditions. The influence of the molar ratio of Li/(Ni + Co + Mn) was studied. The products were investigated by XRD, TEM and EDS. The final products were found to be well crystallized Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 with an average particle size of about 10 nm.  相似文献

A liquid-based sol-gel method was developed to synthesize nanocarbon-coated Li3V2(PO4)3. The products were characterized by XRD, SEM and electrochemical measurements. The results of Rietveld refinement analysis indicate that single-phase Li3V2(PO4)3 with monoclinic structure can be obtained in our experimental process. The discharge capacity of carbon-coated Li3V2(PO4)3 was 152.6 mAh/g at the 50th cycle under 1C rate, with 95.4% retention rate of initial capacity. A high discharge capacity of 184.1 mAh/g can be obtained under 0.12C rate, and a capacity of 140.0 mAh/g can still be held at 3C rate. The cyclic voltammetric measurements indicate that the electrode reaction reversibility is enhanced due to the carbon-coating. SEM images show that the reduced particle size and well-dispersed carbon-coating can be responsible for the good electrochemical performance obtained in our experiments.  相似文献

The Bi0.5(Na0.7K0.2Li0.1)0.5TiO3 powder synthesis through molten salt method was investigated in the temperature range of 650–700 °C for 2–4 h. The XRD results indicated that the optimal synthesizing temperature for molten salt method was 700 °C, significantly lower than that for conventional processing route of solid state reaction method, where a calcining temperature of 850 °C was needed. The SEM results revealed better crystallization of the powders obtained through molten salt method, compared with those through the conventional processing route of solid state reaction method.  相似文献

In order to get homogeneous layered oxide Li[Ni1/3Mn1/3Co1/3]O2 as a lithium insertion positive electrode material, we applied the metal acetates decomposition method. The oxide compounds were calcined at various temperatures, which results in greater difference in morphological (shape, particle size and specific surface area) and the electrochemical (first charge profile, reversible capacity and rate capability) differences. The Li[Ni1/3Mn1/3Co1/3]O2 powders were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), charge/discharge cycling, cyclic voltammetry and SEM. XRD experiment revealed that the layered Li[Ni1/3Mn1/3Co1/3]O2 material can be best synthesized at temperature of 800 °C. In that synthesized temperature, the sample showed high discharge capacity of 190 mAh g−1 as well as stable cycling performance at a current density of 0.2 mA cm−2 in the voltage range 2.3-4.6 V. The reversible capacity after 100 cycles is more than 190 mAh g−1 at room temperature.  相似文献

In this research, we studied the first cycle characteristics of Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 charged up to 4.7 V. Properties, such as valence state of the transition metals and crystallographic features, were analyzed by X-ray absorption spectroscopy and X-ray and neutron diffractions. Especially, two plateaus observed around 3.75 and 4.54 V were investigated by ex situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy. XANES studies showed that the oxidation states of transition metals in Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 are mostly Ni2+, Co3+ and Mn4+. Based on neutron diffraction Rietveld analysis, there is about 6% of all nickel divalent (Ni2+) ions mixed with lithium ions (cation mixing). Meanwhile, it was found that the oxidation reaction of Ni2+/Ni4+ is related to the lower plateau around 3.75 V, but that of Co3+/Co4+ seems to occur entire range of x in Li1−x[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2. Small volume change during cycling was attributed to the opposite variation of lattice parameter “c” and “a” with charging-discharging.  相似文献

Uniform and spherical Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O(2−δ)Fδ powders were synthesized via NH3 and F coordination hydroxide co-precipitation. The effect of F coordination agent on the morphology, structure and electrochemical properties of the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O(2−δ)Fδ were studied. The morphology, size, and distribution of (Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)(OH)(2−δ)Fδ particle diameter were improved in a shorter reaction time through the addition of F. The study suggested that the added F improves the layered characteristics of the lattice and the cyclic performance of Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 in the voltage range of 2.8-4.6 V. The initial capacity of the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O1.96F0.04 was 178 mAh g−1, the maximum capacity was 186 mAh g−1 and the capacity after 50 cycles was 179 mAh g−1 in the voltage range of 2.8-4.6 V.  相似文献

Electrochemical codeposition of Mg, Li, and Zn on a molybdenum electrode in LiCl-KCl-MgCl2-ZnCl2 melts at 943 K to form Mg-Li-Zn alloys was investigated. Cyclic voltammograms (CVs) showed that the potential of Li metal deposition, after the addition of MgCl2 and ZnCl2, is more positive than the one of Li metal deposition before the addition. Chronopotentiometry measurements indicated that the codeposition of Mg, Li, and Zn occurs at current densities lower than −0.78 A cm−2 in LiCl-KCl-MgCl2 (8 wt.%) melts containing 1 wt.% ZnCl2. Chronoamperograms demonstrated that the onset potential for the codeposition of Mg, Li, and Zn is −2.000 V, and the codeposition of Mg, Li, and Zn is formed when the applied potentials are more negative than −2.000 V. X-ray diffraction (XRD) indicated that Mg-Li-Zn alloys with different phases were prepared via galvanostatic electrolysis. The microstructure of typical α + β phase of Mg-Li-Zn alloy was characterized by optical microscope (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The analysis of energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS) showed that the elements of Mg and Zn distribute homogeneously in the Mg-Li-Zn alloy. The results of inductively coupled plasma analysis showed that the chemical compositions of Mg-Li-Zn alloys are consistent with the phase structures of the XRD patterns, and that the lithium and zincum contents of Mg-Li-Zn alloys depend on the concentrations of MgCl2 and ZnCl2.  相似文献

A solid solution of spinel (2/3)Li(Li1/3Ti5/3)O4–(1/3)Li(Ni1/2Ti3/2)O4 was prepared, and its structural/electrochemical properties were compared with Li(Li1/3Ti5/3)O4 to identify the effect of doping to the structural invariance of Li(Li1/3Ti5/3)O4. The solid solution retained the zero strain characteristic of Li(Li1/3Ti5/3)O4 during discharge/charge with an excellent cycle stability, while the rate capability was notably improved. However, a reversible broadening of the XRD peak was observed at the end of discharge, indicating some structural changes. XANES measurements showed that the oxidation state of Ti was +4 and that of Ni was +2 in the solid solution.  相似文献

Polyethylene glycol (PEG, mean molecular weight of 10,000) has been used to prepare a Li3V2(PO4)3/C cathode material by a simple solid-state reaction. The Raman spectra shows that the coating carbon has a good structure with a low ID/IG ratio. The images of SEM and TEM show that the carbon is dispersed between the Li3V2(PO4)3 particles, which improves the electrical contact between the corresponding particles. The electronic conductivity of Li3V2(PO4)3/C composite is 7.0 × 10−1 S/cm, increased by seven orders of magnitude compared with the pristine Li3V2(PO4)3 (2.3 × 10−8 S/cm). At a low discharge rate of 0.28C, the sample presents a high discharge capacity of 131.2 mAh/g, almost achieving the theoretical capacity (132 mAh/g) for the reversible cycling of two lithium. After 500 cycles, the discharge capacity is 123.9 mAh/g with only 5.6% fading of the initial specific capacity. The Li3V2(PO4)3/C material also exhibits an excellent rate capability with high discharge capacities of 115.2 mAh/g at 1C and 106.4 mAh/g at 5C.  相似文献

A lithium-ion battery cathode material, Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2, with excellent electrochemical properties was prepared via two-step isothermal sintering, using eutectic lithium salts (0.38LiOH·H2O–0.62LiNO3) mixed with Co, Ni, or Mn hydroxides. Based on analysis using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), a thermogravimetric-differential scanning calorimetric (TG–DSC) analyzer, and Fourier-transform Infrared (FT-IR), this synthetic process consists of procedures including lithium salt melting, permeation, reaction, crystalline transformation, and crystallization. Due to the lower melting point of the eutectic molten salts compared with that of the single lithium salt, a relatively mild synthetic condition (low temperature) is needed, and the product can be highly crystallized with low cation mixing, which facilitates maintenance of the precursor morphology. The electrochemical properties of the product were investigated by constant current discharge–charge and cyclic voltammetry. The results show that the initial discharge capacity is 160 mhA g−1, with excellent cycling stability even after 50 cycles. We conclude that this novel eutectic molten salt method is a promising and practical approach for synthesizing cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

High burnup is a goal for further development of advanced nuclear power in the future. However, along with the increase of burnup, it becomes more diffidult to control reactor reactivity, which affects the operation safety of the nuclear reactor. Al2O3/B4C burnable poison materials widely used in pressurized water reactor currently will not meet the requirements of burnable poison materials in high burnup nuclear power. Because of the better performance of ZrO2/Gd2O3 burnable poison materials than that of Al2O3/B4C, this paper studies the preparation of ZrO2/Gd2O3 composite ceramic materials by the coprecipitation method. The experimental results show that at the sintering temperature of 1500–1650 °C, ZrO2/Gd2O3 composite ceramic grains are small, compact and uniform with the generation of homogeneous solid solution. At 1600 °C, ZrO2–10%Gd2O3 has the highest density and mechanical strength.  相似文献

Carbon coated Li3V2(PO4)3 cathode material was prepared by a poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) assisted sol-gel method. PVA was used both as the gelating agent and the carbon source. XRD analysis showed that the material was well crystallized. The particle size of the material was ranged between 200 and 500 nm. HRTEM revealed that the material was covered by a uniform surface carbon layer with a thickness of 80 Å. The existence of surface carbon layer was further confirmed by Raman scattering. The electrochemical properties of the material were investigated by charge-discharge cycling, CV and EIS techniques. The material showed good cycling performance, which had a reversible discharge capacity of 100 mAh g−1 when cycled at 1 C rate. The apparent Li+ diffusion coefficients of the material ranged between 9.5 × 10−10 and 0.9 × 10−10 cm2 s−1, which were larger than those of olivine LiFePO4. The large lithium diffusion coefficient of Li3V2(PO4)3 has been attributed to its special NASICON-type structure.  相似文献
