A review of recent developments in high-pressure pulsed molecular lasers is presented. Included are some experimental results on TEA lasers, E-beam lasers, and lasers using Blumlein excitation. Discussions of the kinetic modeling, the parametric behavior, and the characteristics of uniform discharges in the high-pressure pulsed CO2 laser are given. Recent results on pulse-initiated chemical lasers, extremely high-pressure lasers, and high-repetition-rate TEA lasers are also discussed. Efforts to control and use the output from these devices are described, and an extensive list of references is given. 相似文献

A scalable architecture for coherent combining of pulsed fibre lasers is reported. Stable synchronous and phase-locked pulsed fibre laser beams are generated in a phase modulated mutually coupled fibre laser array. The mechanism for generating a pulsed laser is different from previous Q-switching, modelocking or pump modulation methods. Two pulsed fibre lasers are coherently combined with 0.48 J pulse energy at the repetition rate of 115 kHz. The repetition rate can be controlled by adjusting the pump current. The combining efficiency of the two pulsed fibre lasers reaches 90 and the fringe contrast is larger than 40 . 相似文献

The limited coherence of most pulsed lasers is the principle difficulty in making pulsed holograms. This paper describes techniques used for the production of quality holograms of back lighted subjects, using ordinary pulsed lasers. The arrangements used achieve a temporal and spatial matching of the scene and reference beams to the degree required by the laser coherence cell. Techniques are described which prevent the destruction of the spatial match when using a diffusing screen. The use of lenses to permit the recording of large subjects on small holograms with limited pulsed energy is described. The limitations on subject motion are described. Experimental examples of the techniques are illustrated by holographic recordings of bullets in flight. The technique of double exposure holographic interferometry is also illustrated. 相似文献

脉冲光纤激光器在加工、光通信、生物医学、非线性研究等领域有很大的应用前景,所以得到了广泛的关注。为了得到脉冲激光输出需要使用饱和吸收体,其中二维材料具有独特的光电特性,在光学和光电器件中已经有很多的应用,尤其是二维材料具备良好的饱和吸收,制备工艺简单,易与光纤系统集成,工作波长宽等特点,被广泛地应用于脉冲光纤激光器。文中回顾了二维材料和光纤的集成方式以及相应的脉冲光纤激光器的输出特性,并且对这类脉冲光纤激光器进行了外场调控的研究。 相似文献

高功率掺镱双包层光纤激光器由于在效率、散热和光束质量方面的优势,在工业加工、医疗和国防等领域具有广泛的应用前景,是目前国际上激光技术研究的热点之一.首先综述了国际上高功率光纤激光器的研究进展情况,然后重点介绍了中国科学院上海光学精密机械研究所在连续光纤激光和脉冲光纤激光方面所取得的进展,采用双端泵浦技术,在15 m的国产双包层光纤中获得440 W的连续输出,采用MOPA方式,以4 m长的国产光纤作为放大介质,在100 kHz时,获得了133 W的平均功率输出. 相似文献

报道了气态分子束外延(GSMBE)生长1.8—2.0μm波段InGaAs/InGaAsP应变量子阱激光器的研究结果.1.8μm波段采用平面电极条形结构,已制备成功10μm和80μm条宽器件,器件腔长500μm,室温下光致发光中心波长约为1.82μm,在77K温度下以脉冲方式激射,阈值电流分别约为250mA和600 mA,中心波长分别在1.69μm和1.73μm附近. 2.0μm波段,制备成功8μm宽脊波导结构器件,器件腔长500μm,室温光致发光中心波长约为1.98μm,77K温度下以脉冲方式激射,阈值电流约为 20mA,中心波长约为1.89μm,其电流限制和纵模限制效果优于平面电极条形结构器件. 相似文献

Implant and oxide confined vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers are compared in terms of properties dependent upon the nature of index guiding in the two structures including CW threshold current scaling with size, light-current linearity, pulsed operation delay, and beam profiles. The oxide confined lasers, fabricated by wet thermal oxidation, have a built-in index guide and thus exhibit substantially better properties than do lasers from the same wafer fabricated by proton implantation which rely on a thermal lens to reduce diffraction losses. 相似文献

In recent years, topological insulators have aroused the attention of a great number of scientists due to their unique electronic structures and peculiar physical properties. Triggered by the similar electronic structures as graphene, the broadband nonlinear absorption properties of topological insulators were investigated. Moreover, the mode-locked or Q-switched fiber lasers based on topological insulators were realized for broadband operating wavelength. Here, we present an overview of the preparation, transferring, linear and nonlinear optical properties, and their applications of topological insulators in pulsed fiber lasers.
