We are studying a form of holographic data storage with phase conjugation, and we compensated for hologram distortion due to shrinkage of photopolymer materials in the holographic medium by controlling the wavefront of the reference beam. When a high NA lens and narrow angle interval of angle multiplexing are employed to obtain a high data recording density, some wavefronts cause interpage crosstalk on the reconstructed image. We tried to determine the moving range of actuators in a deformable mirror for controlling the wavefront. As a result, we found that the distortion in the hologram could be compensated while avoiding interpage crosstalk and that the bit error rates of the reproduced data could be decreased. We also found that the optimized wavefront could compensate for distortions in several neighboring data pages. This method can ensure a high data recording density in holographic data storage.  相似文献

Shift multiplexing is a holographic storage method particularly suitable for the implementation of holographic disks. We characterize the performance of shift-multiplexed memories by using a spherical wave as the reference beam. We derive the shift selectivity, the cross talk, the exposure schedule, and the storage density of the method. We give experimental results to verify the theoretical predictions.  相似文献

We show that a double-random encryption technique can improve the storage capacity of an angular-multiplexed holographic memory system. In the holographic memory system, input binary images are encrypted into white-noise-like images by use of two random phase masks located at the input and the Fourier planes. These encrypted images are stored as holograms in a photorefractive medium by use of angular multiplexing. All the images are encrypted by different sets of random phase masks. Even when the angle separation between adjacent images is small enough to cause cross talk between adjacent images, original binary data can be recovered with the correct phase mask; the other reconstructed images remain white-noise-like images because incorrect masks are used. Therefore the capacity of the proposed system can be larger than that of a conventional holographic memory system without the random phase encryption technique. Numerical evaluation and experimental results are presented to confirm that the capacity of the system with random phase masks is larger than that of the conventional memory system.  相似文献

We study the interpixel cross talk introduced to digital holographic data storage by use of a multilevel phase mask at the data-input plane. We evaluate numerically the intensity distribution at the output detector for Fourier plane hologram storage in a limited-aperture storage medium. Only the effect at an output pixel of interpixel cross talk from the four horizontal and vertical neighboring pixels is considered, permitting systematic evaluation of all possibilities. For random two-level and pseudorandom six-level phase masks, the influence of the pixel fill factor, as well as the aperture size of the storage medium, is studied. Our simulations show that, for a given aperture size, a random two-level mask is more susceptible to interpixel cross talk than is a pseudorandom six-level mask. Decreasing the pixel fill factor below 94% with a pseudorandom six-level phase mask makes it theoretically possible to have a system with no errors from interpixel cross talk if one particular 5-pixel pattern is forbidden through modulation coding. Reducing the input fill factor below 85% means that no patterns need to be excluded.  相似文献

基于一种用于彩色印刷防伪图像博奇编码的傅里叶计算全息数字水印方法,设计了一种抗旋转的全息水印防伪方案。通过模拟印刷—图像采集—旋转校正—提取水印的仿真实验,研究了采集过程中图像旋转一定角度后提取的水印质量问题。实验表明:该防伪方案对图像采集中的旋转攻击具有较好的鲁棒性,能满足彩色印刷的防伪要求,且旋转角度∈(-90°,0°)∪(0°,90°)时,提取的水印质量较好,能保证识别。另外,该防伪方案对图像采集中的裁剪、磨损、缩放、平移和翻转攻击,也有较好的鲁棒性。  相似文献

In this paper, we report the experimental implementation of handling the reconstruction problem from few angle data-sets for digital holographic microtomography. First, the digital holographic microscopy with sample-rotating scheme is established and few holograms with regularly spaced angle steps are recorded. Then, an algebraic iterative reconstruction algorithm with non-positivity constraint and a smoothing operator is applied to reconstruct three-dimensional refractive index distribution of the measured sample from the few angle data-sets. The experimental results demonstrate that the algebraic iterative technique can accurately reconstruct refractive index distribution from few angle data-sets in digital holographic microtomography. The technique is easy to implement and reduces greatly the required recording times.  相似文献

A multilayered waveguide holographic read-only memory is a promising candidate for the next generation of optical data storage systems. We improved the data density of the memory by using a multiplexing method with a set of orthogonal optical masks. We multiplexed as many as nine images into one waveguide hologram, and all the observed images had negligible cross talk. This made it possible to achieve a ninefold increase in data density. We provide experimental results for both metallic and liquid-crystal masks.  相似文献

A novel multiplexing scheme for dense holographic storage in photorefractive crystals, spatioangular multiplexing, is described in detail. Compared with spatial multiplexing, spatioangular multiplexing increases the storage capacity by fully utilizing the volume of the storage medium. On the other hand, spatioangular multiplexing reduces the number of holograms overlapping any one hologram in a given volume and so increases the diffraction efficiency achievable as compared with angular multiplexing. Using this scheme, we succeeded in storing 756 high-resolution patterns in an Fe:LiNbO(3) crystal of volume 1 cm(3), with an average diffraction efficiency of 0.5%. This large database is designed for practical use in a novel associative-memory system, called a high-order feedback neural network.  相似文献

We propose a method of wavelength multiplexing based on a modified Gerchberg-Saxton algorithm (MGSA) and a cascaded phase modulation scheme in the Fresnel transform domain to reduce the cross talk in the multiple-image-encryption framework. First, each plain image is encoded to a complex function by using the MGSA. Next, the phase components of the created complex functions are multiplexed with different wavelength parameters, and then they are modulated before being combined together as a phase-only function, which is recorded in the first phase-only mask (POM). Finally, the second POM is generated by applying the MGSA again on the amplitude derived from the summation of the total created complex functions. Simulation results show that the cross talk between multiplexed images has been significantly reduced compared with an existing similar method. Therefore, the multiplexing capacity in encrypting multiple gray-scale images can be increased accordingly.  相似文献

Detailed analysis of the relationship between the experimental geometry and the holographic contrast in photorefractive polymers is important for applications, such as angle multiplexing in holographic data storage. In this paper the field dependent photogeneration efficiency is introduced into the complete reorientational model to provide a full account of the electric field and geometrical dependence of the index contrast. The interaction of a local grating and the photorefractive grating is also considered. A simplification for acute angles between writing beams is described. Experimental verification by use of four-wave mixing and transmission ellipsometry reveals an excellent agreement between theory and measurement.  相似文献

We investigate the effects of interpixel cross talk and detector noise on the areal storage density of holographic data storage. A numerical simulation is used to obtain the bit-error rate (BER) as a function of hologram aperture, pixel fill factors, and additive Gaussian intensity noise. We consider the effect of interpixel cross talk at an output pixel from all possible configurations of its 12 closest-neighbor pixels. Experimental verification of this simulation procedure is shown for several fill-factor combinations. The simulation results show that areal density is maximized when the aperture coincides with the zero order of the spatial light modulator (SLM) (Nyquist sampling condition) and the CCD fill factor is large. Additional numerical analysis including finite SLM contrast and fixed-pattern noise show that, if the fixed-pattern noise reaches 6% of the mean signal level, the SLM contrast has to be larger than 6:1 to maintain high areal density. We also investigate the improvement of areal density when error-prone pixel combinations are forbidden by using coding schemes. A trade-off between an increase in areal density and the redundancy of a coding scheme that avoids isolated-on pixels occurs at a code rate of approximately 83%.  相似文献

Abstract

A simple and effective method for simultaneously determining the refractive index and the wedge angle of an optical wedge plate is described. The method is based on a real-time holographic interferometer which uses a photorefractive crystal as the recording and reconstruction medium. The wedge sample under test is inserted into a rectangular cell that is placed in the object light beam of the holographic interferometer. The interference patterns produced before and after a reference liquid is poured into the cell are received by a CCD camera and stored in a computer, respectively. The refractive index and the wedge angle of the wedge sample are determined by measuring the number of fringes falling inside a fixed aperture. The principle of the method is analysed and some experimental results with adequate accuracy are given.  相似文献

We show that a speckle-modulation technique can improve the parallelism and the recognition accuracy of volume holographic correlators. The object patterns are modulated by a speckle pattern generated by a diffuser. These modulated patterns are stored as Fourier holograms by use of angular-fractal multiplexing. With the speckle modulation the sidelobes are completely suppressed, the cross talk is negligible, and the correlation peak becomes a bright sharp spot. Thus higher recognition accuracy is achieved. The angular separation between adjacent patterns in the multiplexing could be much smaller, resulting in larger capacity and higher parallelism of the correlator. Also, this technique can be combined with other methods such as wavelet filtering to achieve a large invariant tolerance range. Theoretical analysis, numerical evaluation, and experimental results are presented to confirm that sidelobes and cross talk are sharply suppressed by the speckle modulation.  相似文献

We investigate the viewing angle enhancement of a lenticular three-dimensional (3D) display with a triplet lens array. The theoretical limitations of the viewing angle and view number of the lenticular 3D display with the triplet lens array are analyzed numerically. For this, the genetic-algorithm-based design method of the triplet lens is developed. We show that a lenticular 3D display with viewing angle of 120° and 144 views without interview cross talk can be realized with the use of an optimally designed triplet lens array.  相似文献

We investigated various factors that influence the transmission of high-density and high-bandwidth signals propagated through fiber image guides. The effects of signal power uniformity, optical cross talk, mode dispersion, and modal noise were considered. A model for power uniformity and optical cross talk is provided that we used to evaluate the channel density of several coupling modes. Also, modal noise was experimentally measured for several conditions of coupling to the fiber image guide. A commercially available fiber image guide was evaluated in the context of these performance considerations and was experimentally tested. The resultant minimum signal channel based on these criteria was found to consist of three fiber elements. The limit on transmission length that is due to modal dispersion was estimated at 1.65 m at 2.5-Gbits/s and at 42 cm at 10-Gbits/s data rates. Optical cross talk and modal noise were found to place a lower limit on the signal channel density. These characteristics compare favorably with electrical interconnect densities that are projected for tape automated bonding and flip-chip bonding techniques used at the chip-to-module and chip-to-board packaging levels.  相似文献

We propose a simple white-light interferometric method of measuring a one-dimensional rotation angle with use of an optical plane parallel plate of standard refractive index. The phase change of the interference pattern of the interferometer during the rotation of the flat plate of known refractive index and thickness placed in one of the interferometer's arms is used for determination of the rotation angle. This method has been demonstrated for an accurate angle measurement over the angle range from 0° to 40° within a maximum uncertainty of 0.057°.  相似文献

Previous research assessing planar holographic storage and cross talk between volume multiplexed holograms is reviewed. Using these results, we derive equations for volume holographic storage density and capacity. We show that when a dynamic hologram is read out by illumination at the Bragg nulls of a previously recorded grating the diffracted beam inside the medium can result in the recording of two secondary gratings that alter the final selectivity curve. This is confirmed experimentally. This effect can cause cross talk in hologram multiplexing that is stronger than interpage cross talk when a small number of holograms with high diffraction efficiencies are multiplexed.  相似文献
