In this work a new microwave-heating procedure is presented as a viable alternative for both the conventional and ultraviolet (UV) curing systems used in the natural stone industry. Both thermal simulations and experimental tests demonstrate that microwave energy highly reduces curing and storing times while maintaining the product's final quality. Several polymer mixtures have been obtained from commercial products and fillers for maximum microwave absorption and their complex permittivity has been properly measured. A continuous industrial microwave oven has been built specifically for this purpose and tested on Crema-Sierra Puerta marble samples and commercial epoxy and polyester resins. 相似文献

The spoiling of coagulation factors, proteic patterns and specific activity has been comparatively determined in fresh frozen plasma, cryoprecipitates and hemodiagnostic sera, thawed in a 37 degrees C water bath and in a microwave oven. Effects of conventional and microwave heating are not significantly different, while results of the latter technique are rapid and aseptic. Previously, heating performances of a commercial microwave oven have been investigated for deionized water, saline solutions, and bovine serum. Furthermore, plastic containers of hemoderivatives have been tested to assure that no toxic products are released during microwave heating. 相似文献

The status of the microwave GaAs heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) technology is reviewed. Microwave circuits for advanced military and commercial systems continue to increase their dependence on the performance, functionality, and cost of active components fabricated using solid-state technology. The performance advantages provided by GaAs HBT's, for several critical circuit applications, have stimulated a worldwide development activity. Progress in HBT device technology and microwave circuit applications has been extremely rapid because of the broad availability of III-V compound semiconductor epitaxial materials and prior experience with GaAs field-effect transistors (FET's) and monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMIC's). A model development methodology for complex shaped on-wafer interconnects is presented. The equivalent circuit of the entire interconnect is obtained by cascading basic subsegment models. The extracted parameters are formulated into empirical expressions. Thus, the proposed model can be easily incorporated with commercial electronic design automation (EDA) tools. The accuracy of the model is validated by the on-wafer measurements up to 20 GHz. 相似文献
