The design of a high-power air-cooled microwave SPDT switch which is capable of operation at peak and average power levels of 500 kW and 666 watts, respectively, is described. The unit is of a differential phase shift circulator design employing 90/spl deg/ nonreciprocal phase shift elements which are forced air cooled. The phase shifter design employs dual ferrite toroids, "floating" in reduced height RG-51 waveguide. Two approaches are compared for heat sinking the phase shifter; namely the "H-beam" and the "I-beam" configurations. The results obtained indicate that the I-beam configuration is superior to the "H-beam" configuration. The switch exhibits an insertion loss of 0.6 dB maximum and isolation greater than 20 dB over a 100 MHz bandwidth centered at 9.375 GHz. The input VSWR of the switch over the frequency band is less than 1.28:1.  相似文献

为了满足某系统的要求,需研制带宽在X波段达4GHz(40%)的宽带波导结环行器。文中采用Y形脊波导中心结形式,采用三阶等宽切比雪夫阶梯阻抗匹配器实现环行器宽带阻抗匹配,并利用HFSS软件优化环行器结构。设计的环行器实验结果为:在8.4GHz至12.4GHz范围内,插损不大于0.3dB,隔离不小于20dB,驻波不大于1.2。环行器设计结果与实验结果基本一致,表明该设计方法正确,设计的环行器满足系统宽带要求。  相似文献

A 50-kW CW differential phase-shift circulator at 2450 MHz has been developed. Its insertion loss and isolation are 0.18 dB and 20 dB, respectively, over a bandwidth of 25 MHz at 2450 MHz. It is useful for protecting the microwave source of a high-power system from reflected power. The design and experimental results of the circulator are presented.  相似文献

介绍了一种S波段双通道高功率波导旋转关节,对旋转关节的结构组成、关键尺寸选择、模式匹配及通道间隔离设计等进行了详细的分析和研究.仿真分析和测试结果表明,在10%的带宽内,旋转关节电压驻波比小于1.1,驻波转动起伏小于0.02;插入损耗小于0.2dB,插入损耗转动起伏小于0.02dB,通道间隔离度大于85dB,双通道功率容量均超过1MW.通过对比,旋转关节各项性能指标均达到国外同类产品的先进水平,同时结构形式简单,加工调试方便,可广泛应用于雷达及微波系统中.  相似文献

通过在旋磁基片上集成结环行器和TaN功率薄膜负载,设计出了小型化的微波隔离器.利用电磁场仿真软件HFSS对设计进行建模、分析和改进,得到在8~9 GHz内,隔离度大于20 dB,插入损耗小于0.5dB,电压驻波比小于1.25的集成化隔离器.设计所得的微波隔离器达到了应用的指标,且符合微波通信器件小型化和集成化的发展要求.  相似文献

A Ka-band microstrip circulator, using ferrite with 4π M=5000 G, have been developed. By optimizing the circulator configuration, broadband n=2 Chebyshev response performance are obtained over 7 GHz bandwidth. A broadband and a compact lumped element circulator was developed by a co-firing method of a ferrite and inner conductor. A circulator fabricated by this method with the dimensions of 6×6×3 (mm) showed a 20 dB isolation bandwidth of 7% and an insertion loss of 0.7 dB at 800 MHz. The gyromagnetic inductance of this circulator was compared to that of a conventional circulator. The former always showed a higher inductance than the latter. This measurement and additional measurement of the inductance for non-magnetized ferrite disks with and without a gap have shown that a great portion of permeability increase came from the elimination of the demagnetizing field in the element. Although a broadbanding was obtained, the insertion loss of 0.7 dB could be improved by using a more conductive material. To optimize the isolation bandwidth, a refinement of the design method based on the gyromagnetic inductance measurement should also be established. In spite of these problems, the magnetically closed circuit circulator, mC3, seems to be the ultimate lumped element circulator from its broadband characteristics, compact size and simplified structure, to reduce production costs. Furthermore, the broadband characteristics decrease the loaded Q-factor causing an increase in the handling power of the circulator which is a useful feature in broadcasting equipment  相似文献

A technique is described for constructing a high-performance nonradiative dielectric waveguide (NRD guide) circulator for use at 50 GHz. A mode suppressor, which serves to reduce unwanted modes to a negligible level, was devised and used to improve circulator performance significantly. A half-wavelength step transformer was installed at each port of the circulator to increase the operational bandwidth. The insertion loss of this circulator is less than 0.3 dB, and the 20-dB isolation bandwidth is about 2.6 GHz. Characteristics of the NRD guide circulator are analyzed based on an equivalent circuit representation. This analysis considerably facilitates the design procedure of the circulator  相似文献

采用表面贴装技术(SMT)研制了X波段的微带环行隔离组件,研究了金属化过孔对旋磁铁氧体基片传输信号的影响。通过对旋磁铁氧体基片进行金属化过孔,将器件的输出端口引入底部,使产品的体积减小,而且减少了安装工艺的复杂度。使用电磁仿真软件HFSS对X波段的微带环行隔离组件进行仿真优化。结果表明,微带环行隔离组件在X波段内8.5~10.5 GHz频段,可以达到相对带宽21.1%,插入损耗小于0.65 dB,端口电压驻波比小于1.30,两个隔离度分别大于18 dB和大于30 dB,仿真结果与实测结果基本一致。  相似文献

A 600-MHz above-resonance circulator operating at 4.2 K has been constructed and successfully tested. Its high isolation (>30 dB), extremely low insertion loss (<0.1 dB), low VSWR (< 1.1), and acceptable instantaneous bandwidth (~6 percent) make it a promising device for utilization in narrow-band very low-noise systems.  相似文献

The questions concerning design and study of quasi-optical (QO) ferrite unidirectional devices, based on two types of transmission line, namely hollow dielectric beamguide (HDB) and squire metal-dielectric waveguide (MDW) were considered. Insertion loss of the QO isolator based on 20 mm diameter HDB lies between the limits 1.8 and 3.0 dB, return loss is not less than 20 dB, and voltage standing-wave ratio (VSWR) is not more than 1.3 in the wavelength range of 1.0 to 1.25 mm. Magnetic field is 0.06 to 0.08 T. The parameters of the isolators based on 10x10 mm cross-section MDW are insertion loss of not more than 2.0 dB, return loss of not less than 20 dB, and VSWR does not exceed 1.3 in the frequency bandwidth of 15% in the wavelength range of 0.85 to 2.00 mm. The scheme of unidirectional QO phaser for the use in high power level (HPL) ferrite circulator is presented.  相似文献

Summary--The theoretical approach to the three-port symmetrical circulator is reviewed and presented in a form valid for the most general waveguide case. A strip-line Y-junction circulator is described and the performance of different units in the band 800-1600 mc is illustrated. The new type of device described offers, for the low-frequency region of the microwave spectrum, advantages of simple design, light weight, and great compactness with respect to the classical types. When operated with a permanent magnet it gives--in a bandwidth of about 4 per cent--isolation greater than 20 db, insertion loss /spl les/0.4 db, and input VSWR/spl les/1.20.  相似文献

This paper presents the performance and normalized design parameters for a latching ring-and-post ferrite circulator in waveguide. A C-band circulator has provided an insertion loss of 0.35 dB and a 20-dB isolation bandwidth of 17 percent. When the circulator was matched for higher maximum isolation (50 dB) but narrower bandwidth (10 percent) at room temperature, the 20-dB isolation bandwidth was 7.8 percent across the -40/spl deg/ to +75/spl deg/C temperature range. Low-loss operation was obtained at pulsed powers up to 7.5 kilowatts, and at least 20 dB of isolation was maintained up to 100 kilowatts. This performance, in conjunction with a switching speed of a fraction of a microsecond, permits the use of these circulators for transmitting-receiving functions in high-reliability RADARs.  相似文献
