Abstract— A theoretical model to interpret appearances of the threshold voltage shift in hydrogenated amorphous‐silicon (a‐Si:H) thin‐film transistors (TFTs) is developed to better understand the instability of a‐Si:H TFTs for the driving transistors in active‐matrix organic light‐emitting‐diode (AMOLED) displays. This model assumes that the defect creation at channel in a‐Si:H is proportional to the carrier concentration, leading to the defect density varying along the channel depending on the bias conditions. The model interprets a threshold‐voltage‐shift dependency on the drain‐stress bias. The model predicts the threshold voltage shift stressed under a given gate bias applying the drain saturation voltage is 66% of that with zero drain bias, and it even goes down to 50–60% of that when stressed by applying twice the drain saturation voltage.  相似文献

In this article, compact quad‐band band‐pass filters are realized by using stepped‐impedance coupled‐line quad‐mode resonators (SICLQMRs). The compactness of the quad‐mode resonator relies in its folded structure without extra space between the parallel lines. Unlike stepped‐impedance resonators, SICLQMRs provide more design freedoms for controlling the four resonating frequencies since the even‐ and odd‐mode equivalents can be separately assigned with characteristic impedances. Internal and external couplings are also parallel couplings, resulting in very compact dimensions of the filters. Simulated and measured S parameters are compared with good agreement, demonstrating the feasibility of the design.  相似文献

Abstract— Bit‐partitioned and conventional shifts, as well as type transformations of multimedia data, are frequently used for display image‐processing systems. A data manipulation unit with fault‐recovery capability based on redundancies is proposed for system‐on‐panel with low processing technology yield. Utilizing data manipulations that are similar to normal shift operation, a proposed data‐manipulation unit is designed with a few additional paths added to the existing barrel shifter. The design methodologies are verified with FPGA and the performance is evaluated in terms of the advantages.  相似文献

VigilAgent is a methodology for the development of agent‐oriented monitoring applications that uses agents as the key abstraction elements of the involved models. It has not been developed from scratch, but it reuses fragments from Prometheus and INGENIAS methodologies for modelling tasks and the ICARO framework for implementation purposes. As VigilAgent intends to automate as much as possible the development process, it exploits. Model transformation techniques are one of the key aspects of the model‐driven development approach. A model‐to‐model transformation is used to facilitate the interoperability between Prometheus and INGENIAS methodologies. Also, a model‐to‐text transformation is performed to generate ICARO code from the INGENIAS model. A case study based on access control is used to illustrate the fundamentals of the model‐to‐model and model‐to‐text transformations implemented in VigilAgent.  相似文献

Abstract— A new conceptual ultra‐compact LCD panel, which features a simple interface and lower‐power consumption by using low‐temperature polysilicon thin‐film transistor (LTPS‐TFT) technology has been developed. This panel is capable of switching operation modes based on an input command, and all the data are directly communicated with the circuit inside the panel through a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) protocol. The integration of the serial‐data‐receiver function on glass substrate has enabled the achievement of a significant reduction in the number of interface pins. Moreover, a low power consumption of 15 μW for a 2.26‐in. reflective LCD panel in combination with the technique of integrating a memory circuit in each pixel has been achieved.  相似文献

An approach to 1‐to‐n (n = 3, 4…) way single‐ended‐to‐balanced filtering power splitter (SETBFPS) is proposed. The properly placed balanced ports with 0.5λg (λg is the substrate integrated waveguide [SIW] guided wavelength at f0) space make the TE32nd 103 and TE32nd 105 modes of n 32nd‐mode SIW multimode resonators form differential‐mode (DM) passband of the SETBFPS. Compared with the state‐of‐art single‐ended‐to‐balanced power splitters, the proposed approach has all the functions of 1‐to‐n way, filtering, and common‐mode (CM) suppression. A 1‐to‐3 way prototype is exemplified at 3.5 GHz with the minimum insertion loss (IL) of 0.09 dB, a fractional bandwidth (FBW) for a 15‐dB return loss of 35%, and a FBW for 15‐dB CM suppression of 52%. Low IL and wide bandwidth can be observed.  相似文献

Abstract— A novel method for the fabrication of ink‐jet‐printed organic light‐emitting‐diode devices is discussed. Unlike previously reported solution‐processed OLED devices, the emissive layer of OLED devices reported here does not contain polymeric materials. The emission of the ink‐jet‐printed P2OLED (IJ‐P2OLED) device is demonstrated for the first time. It shows good color and uniform emission although it uses small‐molecule solution. Ink‐jet‐printed green P2OLED devices possess a high luminous efficiency of 22 cd/A at 2000 cd/m2 and is based on phosphorescent emission. The latest solution‐processed phosphorescent OLED performance by spin‐coating is disclosed. The red P2OLED exhibits a projected LT50 of >53,000 hours with a luminous efficiency of 9 cd/A at 500 cd/m2. The green P2OLED shows a projected LT50 of >52,000 hours with a luminous efficiency of 35 cd/A at 1000 cd/m2. Also discussed is a newly developed sky‐blue P2OLED with a projected LT50 of >3000 hour and a luminous efficiency of 18 cd/A at 500 cd/m2.  相似文献

We propose a deterministic fluid model to understand the trade‐offs in the design of peer‐assisted video‐on‐demand (VoD) services. There are three entities in this model: peers (or end users), seeders (altruistic users that own one or several complete video items), and cache servers that store and forward videos with a limited capacity. Peers join the network, download one or multiple concurrent video streams (possibly different video items), and abort the system when they wish. Peers are assumed to cooperate in a BitTorrent‐based fashion, governed by tit‐for‐tat and fair availability. The issue is to minimize the expected downloading times, choosing the set of video items that should be stored in each cache server. We first prove that the deterministic model is globally stable, and find closed expressions for the expected waiting times. Then, we introduce a combinatorial optimization problem (COP), whose nature is similar to the multiknapsack problem (where the items are videos, and knapsacks are related with the storage of cache servers). The problem turns out to be NP‐complete. Therefore, we heuristically address the problem following a GRASP (greedy randomized adaptive search procedure) methodology. Finally, we simulate the new caching methodology with real‐life traces taken from YouTube logs. The results suggest that the peer‐to‐peer philosophy is both stable and cost‐effective for on‐demand streaming purposes.  相似文献

This paper studies the consensus problem of second‐order discrete‐time multi‐agent systems with relative‐state‐dependent noises. Directed switching topologies are considered. Firstly, for a kind of switching topology with each digraph containing a spanning tree, we give a weak consensus result on the basis of the mode‐dependent average dwell time method. Then, if all digraphs in a switching topology are strongly connected and the corresponding Laplacian matrices have a common left eigenvector for zero eigenvalue, we prove that the mean square and almost sure consensus can always be guaranteed for an arbitrary switching sequence with some constant distributed control gains, and we also give the statistic properties of the final consensus points. Abstract— This article addresses spontaneously polarized light emission from GaN‐based light‐emitting diodes (LEDs) fabricated on electrically non‐polar crystallographic orientations and application of spontaneously polarized emission for backlighting of liquid‐crystal displays (LCDs). The first half of the article describes polarized light emission from GaN‐based LEDs and its role in solid‐state lighting technology. The second half reports on our experimental work to explore the potential of non‐polar LEDs for LCD backlighting applications. Optical transmission of non‐polar LED emission was characterized through a liquid‐crystal layer. Extinction ratios of 0.21 were measured between zero and an applied bias voltage to the liquid‐crystal cells. These extinction ratios are not particularly high yet; nevertheless, the experiment has demonstrated the potential of such non‐polar LEDs for LCD backlighting.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the stability and stabilization problem of a class of discrete‐time switched systems with mode‐dependent average dwell time (MDADT). A novel Lyapunov function, which is both mode‐dependent (MD) and quasi‐time‐dependent (QTD), is established. The new established Lyapunov function is allowed to increase at some certain time instants. A QTD controller is designed such that the system is globally uniformly asymptotically stable (GUAS) and has a guaranteed performance index. The new QTD robust controller designed in this paper is less conservative than the mode independent one which is frequently considered in literatures. Finally, a numerical example and a practical example are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed results.   相似文献

The control algorithm based on the uncertainty and disturbance estimator (UDE) is a robust control strategy and has received wide attention in recent years. In this paper, the two‐degree‐of‐freedom nature of UDE‐based controllers is revealed. The set‐point tracking response is determined by the reference model, whereas the disturbance response and robustness are determined by the error feedback gain and the filter introduced to estimate the uncertainty and disturbances. It is also revealed that the error dynamics of the system is determined by two filters, of which one is determined by the error feedback gain and the other is determined by the filter introduced to estimate the uncertainty and disturbances. The design of these two filters are decoupled in the frequency domain. Moreover, after introducing the UDE‐based control, the Laplace transform can be applied to some time‐varying systems for analysis and design because all the time‐varying parts are lumped into a signal. It has been shown that, in addition to the known advantages over the time‐delay control, the UDE‐based control also brings better performance than the time‐delay control under the same conditions. For the first time, the rectangular dielectric resonator (DR) operating in higher‐order TE3δ1 mode is investigated and used as a magnetic‐dipole driver to design quasi‐Yagi antenna with high gain. For further enhancing the antenna gain, a near‐zero‐index (NZI) metamaterial (NZIM) is proposed instead of the traditional directors and put in the front of DR driver. It is a simple structure and composed of a set of the parallel metallic lines printed on a substrate along the end‐fire direction. Benefiting from the higher‐order mode operation of the DR and NZIM, the realized gain of the proposed antenna can reach 10.3 dBi, including the gain improvement of 2 dBi resulting from the employed NZIM. To verify the design concept, the prototype of quasi‐Yagi DR antenna with NZIM is fabricated and characterized. The measured results agree very well with the simulated results.  相似文献

Single‐polarizer reflective twisted‐nematic (RTN) liquid‐crystal modes offer larger viewing angles, higher contrast ratios and lower power dissipation compared to regular double‐polarizer transmissive‐ reflective liquid‐crystal implementations. The application of re‐crystallized metal‐induced unilaterally crystallized polycrystalline‐silicon thin‐film‐transistor (TFT) technology to realize active matrices and peripheral circuit components for hand‐held direct‐view RTN‐mode video displays is reported.  相似文献

This paper proposes an intermittent model‐free learning algorithm for linear time‐invariant systems, where the control policy and transmission decisions are co‐designed simultaneously while also being subjected to worst‐case disturbances. The control policy is designed by introducing an internal dynamical system to further reduce the transmission rate and provide bandwidth flexibility in cyber‐physical systems. Moreover, a Q‐learning algorithm with two actors and a single critic structure is developed to learn the optimal parameters of a Q‐function. It is shown by using an impulsive system approach that the closed‐loop system has an asymptotically stable equilibrium and that no Zeno behavior occurs. Furthermore, a qualitative performance analysis of the model‐free dynamic intermittent framework is given and shows the degree of suboptimality concerning the optimal continuous updated controller. Finally, a numerical simulation of an unknown system is carried out to highlight the efficacy of the proposed framework.  相似文献

This article presents a compact model to reduce the physical size and increase the frequency ratio between the second and first resonance frequencies of a dual‐function stepped‐impedance‐stub (SIS) line, which was subsequently employed in the realization of dual‐band branch‐line couplers. The proposed model comprises of a loaded spiral T‐shaped SIS that reduces the size of a conventional SIS line as well as improving its frequency ratio. The proposed model behaves exactly similar to the recently developed dual‐band resonators with the advantage of size reduction of ~35% as well as having a wide range of realizable frequency ratios between 1.4 and 3.7 compared to 1.7–2.7 and 1.8–2.3 for the conventional SIS and T‐shaped transmission‐lines, respectively. Dual‐narrowband and wideband branch‐line couplers were developed based on the spiral T‐shaped SIS lines. The dual‐wideband device's bandwidth was enhanced by 2.7% accompanied by a size reduction of 58.6% in comparison with the conventional dual‐wideband couplers operating at the same frequencies. Abstract— Two types of low‐temperature poly‐Si TFT LCDs, which integrate a multi‐bit memory circuit and a liquid‐crystal driver within a pixel, have been developed using two different TFT process technologies. Both a 1.3‐in. 116‐ppi LCD having a 2‐bit pixel memory and a 1.5‐in. 130‐ppi LCD having a 5‐bit pixel memory consume very little power, less than 100 μW, which indicates that this technology is promising for mobile displays.  相似文献

A metasurface‐based substrate integrated Fabry‐Pérot cavity (FPC) antenna is presented for improved radiation performance associated with the low profile. A novel partially reflective planar (PRS) artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) structure is proposed as the upper reflector of the substrate integrated FP resonant cavity. A microstrip patch antenna is embedded inside the cavity as a feed. The proposed antenna is designed to operate at 9.35 GHz with the maximum realized gain of 14.2 dBi and the overall profile of λ0/10 (λ0 is the operating wavelength in free space). The low‐profile performance of the proposed design outperforms any previous substrate‐integrated FPC antenna design with this gain performance. The influences of the FP cavity on the reduction of the antenna profile and the enhancement of the antenna gain are also investigated. Good agreement between the measured and simulated results validates the feasibility of the analysis and design approach.  相似文献

In this article, the filtering balanced‐to‐single‐ended power dividing networks are proposed. Except the fundamental functions of differential‐mode transmission, common‐mode suppression, and out‐of‐phase single‐ended output ports with isolation, the proposed designs show the advantages of wide controllable range of differential‐mode bandwidth, multiple transmission zeros (TZs), and wide bandwidth for high out‐of‐band suppression. The frequencies of TZs, bandwidth, isolation, and common‐mode suppression can be controlled by the parameters. For demonstration, three prototypes (Deigns I, II, and III) with two, four, or six TZs are implemented. The measured results show that design I (II and III) has an insertion loss of 0.38 dB (0.7 dB and 0.8 dB), an operating bandwidth of 12.5% (7.5% and 6.9%), and a bandwidth for 30‐dB out‐of‐band suppression of 0.06f0 (0.09f0 and 0.14f0). The isolation and common‐mode suppression inside the passbands of the three prototypes are all larger than 17 and 38 dB, respectively.  相似文献
