An improved calibration modeling and statistical analysis algorithm is proposed for spectra quality interpretation and prediction is presented here. In a previous work, the frequency‐band varying characteristics of the underlying spectra over the entire wavelength were treated by separately analyzing the spectra in each sub‐band. Following that, the current major task lies in how to further comprehend and model the cumulative effects of different sub‐bands on qualities from the inter‐sub‐band viewpoint. It reveals that one part of the underlying variation in each sub‐band stays invariable over sub‐bands, whereas the other part changes with the alternation of sub‐bands. The original variation in each sub‐band can thus be separated into two different parts, the common and specific ones. They reveal sub‐band‐similar and dissimilar contributions on quality interpretation, respectively, which are referred to “repetitive” and “complementary” cumulative effects in this approach. Correspondingly, different calibration modeling and analyses are performed to explore their respective and joint roles in quality interpretation. The feasibility of the proposed calibration analysis algorithm is verified through both simple numerical data and real spectra data. © 2011 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 2012 相似文献

A feedback control scheme for SISO systems with time delays and constrained inputs is proposed. The controller is designed through the internal model control (IMC) technique and the Smith predictor structure is used for dead time compensation. Through computer simulation, the performance of the proposed scheme has been compared with the classic feedback scheme designed via the IMC procedure. A seed analysis scheme was designed to rapidly estimate the quality of extracted oil. Factors of crude oil quality evaluated
were: free fatty acids, oxidative status (Totox value), color, and phosphatides (soybean) or wax (sunflower). Soybean and
sunflower seeds subjected to extended storage at varying moisture contents were sampled at incremental time periods to yield
fifty storage-damaged samples of each oilseed. Oil was extracted from 50-g lots of each sample and analyzed for the crude
oil quality factors according to standard methods. Alternative instrumental and chemical analyses of the quality factors were
correlated with the standard methods. Hexanal content, measured by headspace-gas Chromatographie analysis of the ground full-fat
meal, was correlated to the oxidative status. Crude oils recovered by rapid extraction, using sonication, and desolventation
were monitored by spectrophotometry for color correlation. Free fatty acid content was determined by titration methods and
monitored by spectrophotometry. Modified turbidimetric methods estimated the phosphatides (soybean) or wax (sunflower seed)
contents. The analysis scheme provides for the rapid estimation of oil quality as impacted by various pre- and post-harvest
events that cause deterioration of oilseeds.

In the present study, flow homogenization by distributors in chemical apparatus is studied as a process of flow control and its mechanism is reconsidered from the model of resistance to the model of radial flow. This process is composed of four consecutive behaviors: the generation, distribution, conversion of the radial flow and the momentum transfer of axial flow. Based on these flow behaviors, the novel distributor is designed as the combination of perforated plate in the center area and vertical guiding baffles around. Taking the wire-screen catalytic reactor as a case study, numerical simulation is employed to optimize the structure of distributor and a CFD-based design scheme called “flow field analysis scheme” is proposed. Numerical simulation is conducted in the apparatus with a diffuser (inlet D0 = 500 mm, main part D1 = 3,000 mm) under the gas velocity of 3.6 m/s (corresponding Re ≈ 12,000). The numerical results from optimized distributor show that compared with the traditional perforated plate, the flow field adjusted by the novel distributor can achieve a better flow uniformity with lower energy consumption. In this work, a model is presented, which is the basis of a quality control concept for the injection molding process. Contrary to statistical methods, this model uses physical dependencies of two quality parameters on four influencing parameters. The influences of holding pressure, holding time, melt temperature, and mold temperature on part mass and dimensions are described based on the fundamental material behavior such as pvT‐data or energy equation. Furthermore, the influence of viscosity changes is indirectly taken into account using the injection work. Assuming only small deviations of the influencing parameters around an optimized operating point, the four parameters are treated as being independent from each other. With this assumption, a product ansatz was chosen with different functions for each influencing factor. Applying basic algebra, the starting equation was transformed into a form that describes either the change in part mass or characteristic part dimensions as a function of the influencing factors. The final equation for the part mass contains six model parameters, whereas nine model parameters are necessary for the equation for the part length. To obtain those model parameters some systematic experiments are required. Once the parameters are known, the model is able to calculate the change of the target values when the influencing factors vary around the operating point. The model was tested experimentally with focus on dimensions using a plastic cover made of an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) grade.
